I got this bag in the Meadwolark Tan from Amazon when the price was great. I think the Tan when I bought it was almost 60% off so I went for it. I really like this style, but the price in the performance twill had kept me from trying it. The pattern placement on yours is perfect!
I always have to remind myself to look on Amazon to compare prices because the PT is so expensive

Hi Debrah! I know I still need to call 😬 I didn’t forget! I’ve washed performance twill in the washing machine on cold gentle cycle with regular detergent, then air dry. I haven’t washed this style though, just the Vera tote. But I know people who have washed performance twill backpacks and said they come out fine too.

Question about when you add the vinegar when washing bags?
I put it in the fabric softener compartment at the start of the wash

I do most of my VB purchases from there, I'm in Norway 🇸🇯 , so it's international shipping, but Amazon in the US has free shipping to Norway on some VB pieces, and on others (mostly) affordable shipping.
You talked about using vinegar to freshing up older bags in the washing machine. Do you use vinegar on it's own or together with washing detergent ?
I’ve used the vinegar both ways. When I first get a used bag needs washing, I use both vinegar and detergent. I put the vinegar in the fabric softener compartment of the washer. But then sometimes after the initial washing and air drying, I’ll run a bag through again just with vinegar to make sure all the soap and residue is gone.

Yes I agree, some of the pinks are a little too much for me on a bag, especially for regular use, but this one is good

It seems to be wearing fine. But I rotate my bags so frequently that they all stay in very good shape

Now I'm looking at the patterned quilted bag even further to the left in background (medium mauve sort of color), hanging off closet door-is it the same brand & style as the one to its right, (pale purple-y pink with vivid purple-y pink handles, under the bright orange-y red item) which I asked about in previous video ? LOL you're leaving us breadcrumbs (to build suspense) leading up to Whatever I Want Weds ;)
Lol, everyone is asking about that and I didn’t even realize it was in the shot. It’ll be the next video I make as soon as it gets sunny here again, hopefully in a day or two.
@@verabradleybagoftheday I hear ya', forecast here in VT is overcast with chance of storms for next few days...though it's nice that the (oddly timed for the season) heat wave finally relented...not exactly optimal lighting conditions to do a video (or take photos), though.
And LOL that you weren't aware (in all sincerity-of course I believe you) that (for those of us who scrutinize the background for other potentially intriguing pieces) you were "building hype" for a future (non-VB) video ;)

Hi Alisa, thank you so much for doing a video on this pattern! I've been curious about peach blossom bouquet ever since it came out, but wasn't too sure about it. I will definitely need to try a bag in this one!
Also, I have a question for you in regards to washing performance twill. I know you mentioned that it can be washed on a gentle cycle with cold water and air dried. I actually just bought a brand new vera tote in the retired performance twill "strawberry ice" color on a third party site. I received it today and it smells like a chimney 😭 Do you have any recommendations on how to get the cigarette smell out? I've been searching for this vera for so long and do not want to part with it! It wasn't disclosed beforehand. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you so much!
Hi! I haven’t had much luck with getting cigarette smoke smell out of Vera bags unfortunately. I actually threw out the one used bag I bought that I couldn’t get the stink out of. I’ll ask in the facebook group and see if anyone has any good tips.

Find it unfortunate when VB chooses to put slip pockets & zip pocket on same interior wall of a bag-makes it hard to use them all, or put anything as heavy as a cell phone in there...wish they had placed these pockets on opposite sides, like they do more often (on other styles).
I do very much enjoy your videos, to get a better sense of what a style I haven't tried is like or see detailed closeups of patterns & colors-thank you ever so much :)
I completely agree about the pocket configuration. I used a cotton version of this bag yesterday and had the same problem again. Thankfully I’m only buying these bags on sale, because for what they charge full price, something like this shouldn’t be happening.
