when my husband and I rediscovered Miami Vice on DVD we were blown away by what a great series it was. So every Friday night was Vice night. We would decorate with flamigos and the miami vibe, play Hammer's soundtrack, drink margaritas, the works. It was loads of fun. Great memories.
Was a soldier in the 80s for the German Air Force in Fort Bliss and watched this show all the time. Even had an outfit like this. This music and the love for this culture made me come back and became a US citizen. Great show, great time, great music and great people...

First visited the US in the summer of 1989, then came back to New York in September 1991 … till today! All my kids are US born. I was supposed to die in Bayonne NJ Hospital at 20 Years Old in 1985...I was there for 3 Months, watched Miami Vice on an IV after 18 hours of Surgery and a weight loss from 190 to 110...with an obnoxious room mate, who I almost had to smother. But music is what kept me alive, and Miami Vice was the absolute best at playing first release Songs like this or even Phil Collins I Can Feel it in The Air Tonight. Glen Frey too, and so on.

I first heard it in Holy Loch Scotland while I was serving on a submarine based out of there...has haunted me ever since. I almost lost my mind when Miami Vice used it.
It stops at just over 6mins because that's the normal extended mix (there's a video, too). ... I think this guy just put in the added 4mins of "air" to let people believe this was something it wasn't (There's an extended megamix out there which is just over 12mins).
This show aired on thursdays when i was a kid and nobody ever stopped me from watching . Total must see tv for a 20 yr old guy , it just made every young guy feel like he just saw something special !!

I never missed Miami Vice in the 1980’s. I lived in Miami then and watched them filming on MetroRail once and near Tamiami Airport in 1985. This was my favorite episode because Ted Nugent was in it.
I was in 'The Cav' when this came out... 2/6 CAV along with the provisional unit of the 5th Squadron, 12th Cavalry Regiment. We'd pull out the beers and crank the tunes, after getting back from bustin' caps on 'the range' and cleaning off the grunge at the washrack. Life was good... great memories!
