What About Crowns? | Andrew Farley

Are we gaining or losing crowns based on what we do? No. Consider the possibility that these crowns represent who Jesus is to us. Christ is our crown of life. Christ is our crown of glory. And Christ is our crown of righteousness. What more do we need?

James 1:12 ends with “to them that love him.” We are all entitled to our opinions; however, let’s not add to scripture to emphasize an argument. Jam 1:12 does not carry on to say and ‘do more’.

He was being facetious "doing more" and that comes across at 1:36. Listen to 1:21 to 1:36 again and listen to the tone of his voice. He is placing emphasis on those words, he is making a point. He doesn't really think that you have to do more.

I normally respect your opinion, but your attitude is very condescending and disrespectful. You also added to the scripture to try to make a point. No where does it say to do more. You are so off base with this it’s staggering. You’ve given nothing but what you feel, and you have no scripture to back up your argument, 2 Timothy was very clear about the crown of righteousness but for some reason you want to mock ppl who, unlike you, can understand the scripture.
