      I never could understand why so many Americans are unprepared for what to the average person seems obvious. When Obama ordered our service men and we on into Africa to help with Ebola I ordered a bunch of N95 masks and certain other PPE items. When Obama cheated his way into a second administration I started collecting a stockpile of certain other important survival items. When I saw the SHTF in January 2020 I started slowly collecting other kinds of survival items. “Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.”

      That's good. It means the high prices are working to better allocate the available ammunition to the people who need it more and are willing to pay for it.
      I wonder how bad the shortage would be if people who stockpiled had an easy way to sell ammo at $1 per round or whatever prevailing market price people choose. I imagine the government could actually make a profit and help people for once by selling off some stockpiled ammo too.

      I still go but it's almost exclusively shooting .22LR. I learned my lesson back in 2013 with that. I stocked up over the last few years. I will use it sparingly until I get down to the amount I consider my "hold" number. The nice thing about that caliber is being able to shoot revolvers, semi-auto rifles and pistols, and bolt action rifles. Also, if you shoot skeet or trap, there is plenty of birdshot still available.

      I started stocking up on guns, ammo and reloading components since late 2018 because I believed two things would happen in the firearms and ammunition market after Trump got into the Whitehouse in 2016.
      1) Gun and ammo prices would start to decrease and their availability will start to increase, and the market should stabilize by the second to third year of his presidency.
      2) Trump will be a one-term president. At best the next president will be a moderate liberal Democrat. Nonetheless, the fact that any Democrat is going to be the next president will trigger another round of product shortage and price gouging in the market.
      Unfortunately my belief turned out to be true.

      @lanejohnson7656 Před 3 lety +1

      @@F15ElectricEagle To me all signs started pointing to another ammo shortage in 2017 and especially in 2018. Why? Because you had Trump out emboldening the ATF when he had them ban bump stocks, then his "I like take the guns first", "I think it's time to open the conversation to raising the age to buy firearms", him telling Pelosi "You never had a republican president that will take on the NRA like I WILL". All while knowing he would need our votes again at least in the primary and then the general election. It was pretty appearant nobody worth having was going to try to primary him due to the large amount of support he has. If a guy attacks the Constitution like this while knowing he needs our votes again at least twice I was scared as hell what he would be like knowing he would never need our votes again. Don't get me wrong, with what we know he is marginally better than Biden/Harris. But the scary thing is what we don't know. In 2016 the man ran on "The attacks on the 2nd amendment are over", "The 2nd amendment has no better friend than me" than once in office he done nothing but running his big mouth otherwise. Who knows what he would do with a 2nd term. You sure can't convince me he would be better. I was thinking SURELY if he went right back to running his mouth with a 2nd term people might start to see him as the Constitution hating POS he has proven to be and his attacks would cause another shortage. NOBODY can convince me with a 2nd term he wouldn't go right back on the attack, which could plausibly start another shortage. The China flu just sped up the inevitable in my opinion..

      @@sikhbhavikh3232 well that's always the balance. You have to have enough ammo so that when a shortage happens you can still train and then hope the supply comes back before you get to your bare minimum for any reasonable emergency. That's why many people split their training ammo from their defensive ammo. But ammo is expensive so we can't be buying 5k rounds at a time. We need to budget ourselves.

    This is going to be like this for the next 10 years. I recomend buying an air gun if you want to do any shooting. Ammo is getting to expensive and too hard to replace to shoot up. Some of the high powered air guns can take down big game and you only need the lead for the pellets and you can pump up the air cylynder with a hand pump. Or buy black powder revolver gun.

      Yes I bought a .177 caliber pellet rifle called the Black Ops a couple years ago. It a break barrel style. I was working nights and one morning I swung by Walmart on the way home and saw it and bought one. It was around 7am when I popped the barrel out the back door and fired a pellet towards the lake. It sounded like I'd just fired my 270 lol. It has a lot of knock down power. I've shot numerous rabbits, ducks, squirrels and a few coyotes. No deer though because I don't want to injure one and it run off and be lamed possibly. It came with a descent scope BTW.

      Tooling up takes time and a major financial investment. The manufacturers understand that this will eventually catch up. Then they sit on an unused investment for years until the next run on ammunition.

      I get it, but there's a Billion dollars of back ordered ammo. That's a lot of money. You don't have to tool up for every caliber. Plus if you're a multimillionaire, the patriotic thing to do is to focus more on supplying the masses with what they need to maintain freedom, and less on making a profit.
      These multimillionaires might lose everything, if the wrong group takes control.

      Explanation:
      The Great Reset is wiping our way of life off the face of the earth and installing an overtly tyrannical rulership. If you google "Georgia Guidstones" and kind of read between the lines you will get an idea of how comprehensive it is. 911 was the start, Covid is the continuation, and dictatorial authority and global nuclear war are the final acts of the takeover.
      Deep State have put their plans for us into the movies, tv and news for many decades. The above pasted list also has a few 911 references so we can see how they tell us what they're gonna do, then they do it. We all know 911 was done by the US gov, not Arabs in a cave.
      They've been telling us about 923 (probably September 2023) at least since 1986 (movie Labyrinth with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly). I can only assume that the nukes will fly then.
      Be aware that some of the 923 references are obvious, others are obscure. For example, the letter "I" ("I" for India) is the ninth (9th) letter of the English alphabet so is another reference to "9". Also, the number "1" (one) looks like an "I" so it is sometimes used along with "23" to indicate "923" - this technique is use in the introduction to "The Simpsons". Other variations use a "6" as an upside down "9", and various combinations of the digits such as 239, 329, etc.
      Stock up on B Vitamins (B for Brain). B supplements are necessary for us to handle stress.
      This stuff can be scary at first. But after 3 months you will be very calm again.
      Go through the list then pass it on to loved ones so they can be at least mentally prepared. These 923 videos are telling us about a significant event (probably nuclear war) in the future.
      To see what they have done in the past, copy and save the list below in a Notepad document for future reference. It explains A LOT of things about the world and how it works. • @Freakingstang
      @Freakingstang Před 3 lety +3

      You have no idea how the world and production works. Obviously.
      If you are an Ammo supplier, and you project let’s just say 12 millions rounds produced for 2020. That means by mid 2019 you have to have your orders in for primers, brass, powder and projectiles.
      So 2020 rolls around and you are doing 1 million rounds a month as projected. Then the virus hits. People freak out. People that normally don’t buy, buy. People that normally buy one biz a week are buying 10,20 or 30. So all your projected stock is gone before you can make it. You sell 12 million rounds by March.
      Companies don’t just make 4x what they normally make for shits and giggles. That’s how companies go out of business. Now couple that with hoarders, resellers, normal shooters and. The big and. 5+ million new gun owners. They need Ammo to shoot. So. You have 10x the demand for the supply, then you have limited production due to lack of supplies from the shut downs.... it all adds up, whether or not you can figure it out or not.
