Not only did we have Blade (1998) and Spawn (1997), but we also had James Edwards/Agent J in Men in Black (1997) played by the notable Will Smith which was part of Malibu Comics who was bought out by Marvel in the mid-'90s shortly before the film was released. Black Panther was the furthest thing away from being "revolutionary" but the media hyped it up and considered it such to brainwash and leave a false impression on a young, naive, impressionable uneducated demographic. It was the same case as well with Captain Marvel where they acted as if there were no female superheroes in the leading role until Brie Larson. It was quite ridiculous.
It's always the first. Just like Wonder Woman was the first female super hero, despite Catwoman starring Halle Berry, despite her even getting an Oscar. If it's a black or female actor, it's always somehow the first, even if they aren't. Gotta sell your new trash on something, right? In a hundred years they will celebrate the "first woman in space" and in the cinemas the "first black protagonist" in a movie ever. No, those hundreds of times before that don't count because we don't have a selling point other than that.
@Dev0205 Which was odd, because a lot of Africa historians have also come forth and have said that a lot of the so-called 'accurately based' respectful displayed African ritual scenes and culture are 100% fantasy and nothing that could be compared to real African tribal culture, but despite that people will still act as if Wakanda was a real place or based on a real tribe, and act as if Black Panther was a documentary when it's 100% fictional fantasy conceived by two White men no less which many of its defenders seem to forgot.
It doesn't help either that the films are manufactured by a PC company as well that tries to sanitize the material and strip away certain things that really made certain characters and stories organically stand out, and replace it with outage cultured, SJW attitudes who think the important aspect of someone's character is their gender or race. If the Marvel films were even fractions of their comic depictions they would actually be more violent, R rated, and more adult-oriented and without the one Marvel film that was in Blade (1998) there wouldn't even be an MCU period. With that said, I don't even want to think about what the MCU version of Blade will be like.

Ok so, it's 2000, the movie was on HBO. I recorded the movie on my vhs. After that, i got the track from the credits, went to a internet caffe, i downloaded the track from a ++hub, paid the operator to record it on a audio CD. That was hard stuff to doo for a 12 year old, in Romania. But i had the track, and i was so God damn happy about it!!!

I will tell you my experience. The movie begins. Some kids couldn't stop making a fuss at the beginning of the screening. In the movie, a guy lets a couple get in into a room. Suddenly this music plays in the background. It's a nightclub where this sounds. Everyone in the cinema was in silent in the cinema, while enjoying the whole scene. It was apotheosic.

There is another version of this song in which the beat kicks in later after a relatively slow intro.
It went like this, the beat kicks in and hot water starts spraying from the ceiling.
