thank you friend :)
Whenever I watch a video on your channel, I am guaranteed two things. I'm going to learn something, and I'm going to laugh. Love what you do, and thank you.

Its also National Ice Cream day so happy Soft Serve Sundae too
SoftServeBall? SoftBallServe?
Ryan, I am teaching my grandsons guitar…. They are 10 and 7, this song is perfect for them to play and sing…. I believe the timing to be not so difficult…. Thanks too, for not stretching your pointer to the D, and just using the open D string, these kids have small hands, and moan at the prospect of stretching their fingers…. Lol, thanks again, Mike
cheers mike! best to your grandsons
You're my favorite guitar channel on YT. Always positive vibes, and you go into painful detail with the extra little nuances and flairs of the songs you teach that a lot of other channels would just skip entirely.
you're a gentleman and a scholar sir ;) thank you.
By the way, thanks for the work you put into this every day. You are a legend!
appreciate you friend.
I picked up how to play this song ages ago just like via tab, but I'm really glad I still checked this video out, because the info about the interchangability of chords in the song was 👌
hoorah!
What a great teacher! Wow!
I actually hate this song but I still clicked on the video, which is a testament to how entertaining you are!

cheers to you rufus.
Thank you, Ryan. You're so cool.
Hi Ryan, glad to see you’re still uploading videos! You’ve been a great help the past few years as I’ve been learning guitar. Have you thought about doing any Sleep Token tutorials? Especially acoustic versions would be cool!
Thanks for all the great tutorials you’ve made!
cheers friend!
you're awesome!!! Also this is one of my fav songs.
cheers vish thanks!
Really great lesson Ryan. I think this is the first time I learned a song right from start. This is a nice song, there are some nice live versions of Chasing Cars. Thanks again!
cheers brinky!
Thanks again I mix it all up but I like less fingers. Like I said in my first comment. This is honestly the first song that just worked for me in riffs. What I am trying to say is I don't understand why people complain? You will always have a true following and fan base. Thank you one more time Ryan. ✌
Great info in this for a later beginner ...🎸💯👍
Rock on!
Nice one, dude. I'm sold. New sub.
I really love switching out the E for AM7 and the D for D sus2, that sounded amazing!
glad you enjoyed that sammy :)
This guy is the reason i know 99% percent of the songs i know. Probably the best guitar channel on youtube
honored.

cheers damo :)
Please teach how to play why by limp bizkit! I love your videos and love how you make things easy to learn and I can’t find a single video anywhere how to play the song!
thanks for being here tyler!
This might be a great song for a looper pedal😊 sounds great dude🤘
good thought!
And there he goes with another banger
:)
I have seen a lot of chord charts tabs and videos showing some form of E chord but I have also seen a video of Gary Lightbody playing it solo with an acoustic guitar and he definitely played AM7 based on the E shape barred at the fifth Fret. For the AM7 he dropped his finger to play G# on the low E string.
ah yes, however that wouldn't be a softball sunday AM7 :)
Fair point. It does reinforce the idea that it should be some form of AM7 but as you say the version played around the first and second frets is easier and sounds good.
Awesome
danke
Hey Ryan big fan, have you ever done a lesson on touch, peel and stand by Days of The New??? If you could do one, it would be very helpful!
good idea blubzy!
So many of my synspses snapped together I had to have a cold shower. Thank you ❤
:) love it.
Nice breakdown. Do you ever do play throughs of the whole songs on your channel?
thanks riffman
Thanks!
Welcome!
Ryan, any chance to do a campfire version of 3s and 7s by QOTSA?
Keep up all the great lessons man 😊
great idea thanks rich!
Best guitar teacher on you tube👊
the kindness.
anytime ryan legend thanks for all the help man
could you please do control by puddle of mudd?
Hey Ryan Man, good? Man, if you can, could you make a tutorial of Doors' Soul Kitchen campfire version? This song kickass! Good day.
Hey mate, any chance you could do an IDLES song? Perhaps, Mr. Motivator, War, Crawl, Model village...? How about Amyl and the Sniffers "Starfire 500"?
Not only is the guitar beginner friendly, it’s also not that hard to sing decently well for a poor vocalist. All around a tremendous work for a newbie.
can you do 16 by green day?
Summer has come and past, the innocent can never last ...
Hi Ryan. I was wondering what strings you are using on your guitar? Are they lighter gauge? I have been buying different ones but just can't to find the tone. This sounds great on your guitar.
I use elixirs 80/20 bronze - my favorite strings ever
@@RyanLendt Cheers Ryan! Definitely going to get those.
Good lesson. One minor correction after listening to the song again: the very first A at the beginning of the song is 16 times, not 8 times.
Hi Ryan
Im following you for a little bit now and i love your work, but im a really really poor guitarist, like terrible. But i would love you to do Foos February stars or generator as if i ever could play guitar, these are the songs i would love to play. I spent a long number of years singing in bands but never playing. Do you have any idea where is a good place to start. I follow your videos but i think that they are a few steps ahead. I play along with what i can but give up on harder parts
love the question Dom - find the easiest possible song and play it until you're bored to tears of it, then branch out from there. May I suggest Long Road by Pearl Jam?
@RyanLendt I will gladly take both suggestions on board. I was a singer in various rock bands between 19 and 33 but I'm 44 now so trying to learn to play better. Just to play a few songs from start to finish is the goal, so trying to teach an old dog a new trick. I'm talking about me here. I don't even have a dog 😀
Thanks. I'll keep checking your videos but try concentrating on your suggestions too. Maybe one day you could try those two songs. I'm sure others will be interested too. Thanks again
Hey been watching your vids for years you've actually taught me angry chair by Alice in chains what I'm requesting is for you to play some marcy playground they're isn't any CZcamsrs that cover they're music . I think you should be the first ( Small request but
-Hotter than the sun , Memphis ,Blood in alphabet soup )
cheers mate! for the record I have done sex and candy :)
7/23/23. Great song with a great video by Snow Patrol! I’m going to watch that Snow Patrol “Chasing Cars” video after I write this comment. Hey Ryan, I’ve got an idea for you: Why don’t you sing this “Chasing Cars” song while lying down on the floor in front of an escalator at the mall, and let people walk over you. Let your son repeatedly get off the escalator, and every time he walks over you, he accidentally spills something on you, like an ice cream cone, or a milkshake, or hamburgers and french fries smothered in ketchup. Eventually your son drops a whole watermelon on you, breaking your guitar, and making your body bounce-up in the air, but you still continue playing the song on your now broken guitar. ... Do a SATIRE version of this song, changing some of the words, so you own it like Weird Al does... ESCALATORS are cool!!! You’ve got to do this video!!! And have some “hot” women wearing dresses walk over you, so you have a nice view of... This video would be hilarious!! Ryan, will you do this video? Take care, Ryan.
always a pleasure MM :) :)
Green turtle pick.
the best kind.
Yes sir.
SOFTBALL SUNDAY 🎉😎🤙
batter up!
Split the difference. Instead of a E Major, play an E6 chord
now THAT'S thinking!
In 14 days I will fly to Ireland. I will chase Snow Patrol in a car... U2 want to join?
hehehehehe
You wanna show me your plucking direction? Why, sir, that's a little bit personal, wouldn't you say?
only your parents or your doctor can see your plucking direction
@@RyanLendt 🤣🤣🤣
The dullest song ever heard
