I love this performance, she doesn't use playback, she's so right on time and tune. She doesn't need her dancers.
Altrought Confessions dancers were amazing: Daniel Campos, Jason Young to name a few.
Well, i do miss that disco breakdown they do and then "I dont know what to do"
wonderful performance and she's so beautiful here - as always. This is one of the greatest albums she's produced.. so uplifting, so personal and so spiritual... all blended with a wonderful homage to the disco era

In fact, in 1979 M was for 5 months backup dancer to the French 70s Disco artist Patrick Hernandez in his Paris tour.

OMG children, learn about her, for the fuck sake. She paid a lot of good money to get the theme melody. And this entire album was an homage to john travolta disco fever, era etc.......
Actually the melody is very different to the ABBA song Gimme, Gimme, Gimme. She samples just the intro to that song and repeats it as a motif throughout. Lyrics very different. Spirit of the song very different. Love both songs. And as you point out, she paid handsomely for the sample. And both of the ABBA boys are also on the writing credits so can't see what all the fuss is about. COADF is an inspired and inspiring album. One of my very favourites of all time.
