It's weird to think that we were all once the size of a cat.

Na, they know very well that this is human offspring. I had cats tending to my children exactly like with their offspring, even licking, when i was not looking..... Especially with female cats. Male cats think that way with their own offspring.

I love how curious and semi-scared cats get when they meet newborns. They're alywas like: "Woah, I didn't know humans come in this size...must be some kind of freak"

I think the cat knows this is a human baby, and she knows its fragile. A very different human dynamic than anything she's had before. Sweet sweet little baby..
So, that's a human version of a kitten. It squirms and makes noise, but I think I'll learn to love them
The funniest part is when that second cat comes sauntering in (1:56), with the same, surprised look on its face in seeing the little thing on the floor. The first cat does not even acknowledge the other cat in continuing to stare at the new thing on the floor!
"I am not sure about this at all. Better get some distance between me and that guy". That cat looks shook with this situation and his mate already knows the situation by keeping a distance. Bless!!!! lol

Very cute the cats are befuddled because they have never seen a baby obviously 😅 I see some people in the comments saying their behaviour towards the baby looks dangerous they must've never owned a cat in their lifes not a single sign of aggression only curiosity and confusion. Please don't ever get a pet if you can't tell basic obvious emotions. 👍
I suspect one source of confusion is for the baby to be asleep AND move around that much.
How long does it take for a cat to figure out a baby is a little human? Im sure you all have seen the video of a momma cat introducing her kitten to a baby on the floor.

Yep and it’s actually not safe to leave babies around cats bc the smell of milk makes them get closer and closer to where it might sit on their face bc that’s where the milk smell is coming from the most.

Cats have functional instincts and poor analytical skills (some, but not much.)
The infant will develop (hopefully!) an ability to think, but has dysfunctional instincts.

IMO, if someone I knew gave away their cat when they had a baby, I'd wonder if they were trading one pet in for another. Not a good look.
