A quest to find intimacy amongst the multitude becomes insurmountable. Is this crowded city able to give up space for that embrace? A short film about finding your corner where every emotion is in your face and yet…. you are anonymous!!

You know why they are living at peace? The women are at peace! The mother in law and sister in law were so sweet to Shalaka.
Subash Kumar wooahhh!! Not a good thing to generalise bruh. Women are very comfortable with “family”. They were born in a family, raised in a family, start their own families.....I don’t get your point? 😅
@@rakshahegde3856 can you handle this kind of situation....or be happy with that type house... probably not
@Subash Kumar the most important thing or any guys parent is to match the economic status with that of girl, if the change for a girl after marriage is equal or the change it for betterment then any girl can adjust. if the change is for downgrade on the name of compromise then its not right for the girl. These days girls have earned name, fame and income which guys havent. Thats where the problem arises from.
@@rakshahegde3856 u r right in a way. Girls are OK to live in a 4x4 room till they're with their parents.
But once they are Married, their wants increase & start harassing the poor husband for a bigger place
@subash kumar bro with this attitude you want to get married then girls will run away from you😂😂
Why so much hatred towards women?? Bad past?? Maybe 🤔
How about you try to first find a girl for YOURSELF THEN FOR YOUR FAMILY.
I know you wont be able to comprehend this as you grow old you will 😊
The last scene where the couple hugs each other is the crux of the message this movie wants to portray..
'Love doesn't need privacy it needs to be embraced'
Though they struggled to find space to love each other , a sudden adversarial situation took out the full emotion of love among them that overlooked the concern of' log kya sochenge'
Wo sab to thik hai par bachhe kaise honge
Rajat Thakur Bacche bhi sadak pe hi honge I guess.

i took a different message from this... DONT freakin get married until u get ur life together... make sure u hav ur own place before u bring another person into ur life... or else dont get married at all.
Absolutely 👍
That's your viewpoint. Others want to move on with their lives, and not put it on hold just because of space constraints. Life goes on. Marriage, kids, life in general shouldn't wait for the perfect job, perfect salary, perfect type of space/house etc. As long as people are financially and emotionally in a position to support a spouse, I don't see why they shouldn't get married and enjoy its perks! By your logic, a large chunk of Mumbaikars will have to remain single for indefinite periods!
@@seevic9821 completely agree to you. If person waits for having big space surely he will need to marry after 40 ... In mumbai for sure.
Same here :)
@@seevic9821 that's what he has said "I took a different view point", he is just expressing his viewpoint not imposing it on others, why you getting rattled as if he is imposing his opinion on others when he has cleary said its his viewpoint

A joint family live in a small apartment. They have shared love for one another. Basically, this story is a reality for the middle class in South Asia, where parents have been living with their future generation since many Centuries. That is why old nursing home is not popular in Indian subcontinent, even we do not let our parents die alone. And this documentary is praiseworthy. It represents not only love, but also culture. Love and kisses to you all.
Superb theme and well executed!!! One thing which struck me along with the main theme of this story is the family bond shown beautifully in today's world of nuclear family especially in the scene where he asks his elder brother for bike!!!!
Love can cross any barrier ,it has no ages ,it only needs privacy .🤩
Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Kaushal are the two best gems of Bollywood.

how they made a struggle into a smile 😍
Their chemistry and notion of love is priceless and the writer who have focused on this front is plausible

This space is the most common problem in city like Mumbai. One has to adjust to it otherwise you have to wait for whole life but you can't afford bigger place. People from small town or village find it very difficult to adjust. Very nice movie showing the way to live in city like Mumbai. This is the story of movie Piya ka ghar starring Jaya Bhaduri and Anil Dhawan in late 197os
Superb message. If you have love in ur relationship than money privacy nothing matters.. So nicely portrayed..
Yes u r r8 dear..we are living in a big house but there is no love😒
Honestly main concern is how can eight people share one toilet in that apartment
They would not. A chawl has common toilets which are shared by all the families on the whole FLOOR.
@@shr3yas Whose responsibility is it to clean the toilets in that case?
@@nidhibobal1133 they all pay equally to cleaners

There was a movie based on the same premise, Piya Ka Ghar, from 1972, with Jaya Bacchan and Anil Dhawan. It's both sad to realize that so many years down the line, the same problem is an everyday reality for many people of Mumbai and how mainstream Indian media completely glosses over such issues.
With population the problem will ofcourse increase
Exactly👍
What a beautiful comment
Right. Piya ka Ghar itself was a remake of Marathi movie.
