Budda Bud-Wah history lesson: These were designed by Jeff Bober and were originally just modified (custom inductor and true bypass) CryBaby Standard wahs like the one shown here. When Budda Amplification started, they were put into actual production (by Dunlop Mfg no less) and marketed as a stand-alone Budda product. They were also very inconsistent in tone quality but the good ones were really fabulous sounding!

I think they sound pretty similar, the real selling points for the buddah in my eyes is it being a true bypass pedal and the guts being of sturdier construction.

I’ve had the Jam Wahcko and the Xotic and the new Budwah. I’ve just purchased a purple label early one on reverb. For £60. Can’t wait

Tried a Budwah before. I noticed there is more sweep range and the vocal quality is better than a standard GCB95. But when I got a Yellow Fasel vintage wah, my prayers were answered.

Not sure if you pick with left hand or right hand... but left foot on the wah if you play right handed is weird.

Budda is more vocal which is my preference. Of course that might not be everyone's cup of tea.

My Buddha wah all of a sudden is very trebly on the down sweep how can I adjust this?

Reposition the teeth on the tone pot beneath the pedal. You loosen a screw and the teeth on the wheel and the other thing get space enough that you can spin the tone pot freely, you can adjust the range this way. It must have loosened up and shifted to the top end of the tone pot and then tightened back down and got stuck there. Most wah pedals can be fixed in this way. I went through a couple pedals before I figured this out!

I did it so my body wasn't in the way of the camera if I'd used my right foot.

You are aware that you are meant to put a wah before the distorion right? Otherwise it just becomes a phaser which you have done when you are wahing with the distortion

    • @peterwelsh1932

Wah was not built that way. Wasn’t even built for guitar. It can go in any position in a sequence. Wah after fuzz is not a phaser. It is just a filter, an EQ, literally a tone knob. A phaser las the sound back on top of itself, but out of phase, thereby creating phase effects. If a Wah COULD phase: IT WOULD DEFINITELY BE MARKETED AS $UCH
