Tarantino is like the only 1, and he's done it for 30 years and never missed a beat. Some of his films were better than others but wouldn't call any of them flops. They will be studied and amazed over for years to come, I'm sure. Nothing overrated about that.

its because of how modern audiences have short attention spans. we live in the age of social media and instant gratitude. look at movie trailers today. its like a machine gun flash bang edit with each clip being no longer than 3 seconds. im not even that old but I feel like im having a heart attack by the time the trailers are done. Same reason trailers literally give the entire plot away. its not only a shame but its quite frightening to think of the trajectory this is heading. in 20 years entire movies will be like these trailers, well they almost already are. they cant even hold a camera on someone as they deliver lines. have to cut back and forth 30 times between actors. well paced and beautiful films are gone

I'm a lifelong Tarantino fan and was incredibly lucky to be working at RED Digital when The Hateful Eight was filmed at their studio in Hollywood. Tarantino brought in massive air conditioning trucks, parked on the street all around the outside of the the studio, to keep the set extremely cold. I got to walk around the massive cabin they built inside the largest sound stage at the studio. I got to witness Madsen, Dern, Roth, Goggins, Russell, and Tatum casually standing around, in costume, just chatting it up. When filming completed, I was able to buy a ton of memorabilia from the set, including a huge pair of snowshoes. I consider myself insanely lucky.

if Quentin actually said he only referenced 2 movies in the Hateful Eight, he was missing something...that many of the scenes come almost directly from "The Great Silence" directed by Sergio Corbucci. The bounty hunters and sheriff all together in a stage during a snowstorm is almost completely taken from this movie shot by shot! there's now way he couldn't be referencing it in the Hateful Eight since he clearly loves spaghetti westerns and loves Corbucci!! somebody needs to get their facts straight!

Cool video. Love The Hateful Eight and Tarantino. Didn't know that he had announced a Star Trek project. As a huge Tarantino fan, and someone who's never been into Star Trek, I REALLY hope this isn't his 10th and final film

Upon first watch, this was easily my favorite Tarantino film. That being said, I think I has some of the worst rewatchability of any of his films, because the suspense and lack of knowing who’s who the first time is so crucial. I still absolutely love it, and I think it’s the greatest example of Tarantino’s ability to make dialogue truly and utterly intoxicating to hear

I’ve watched the extended cut a billion times. What was weird though is that the first time I watch this film I didn’t necessarily like it or at least I thought it was one of his weakest films. But for some reason I decided to go back and watch it again maybe a year later, and I was absolutely blown away at how good it was. It must’ve just been the mood, I was in the first time or maybe I was just trying to soak it all in but the second time I learned to really appreciate what was happening. Since then I’ve gone on to watch it once every six months or so, which I rarely do with movies. Only a couple other examples of a film I do that with and that’s the thing and 13 assassins.

Tarantino for me can come off as a jerk lots of times true or not . Some people can just come off that way at times but the man is a artist in his kraft , a genius in many ways of movie making . Any time he has a new movie coming out it gets your attention to want to know about it .

5:36 I'm sure no one needs this reference to be explained, but Sam Jackson was referencing a line from his previous Tarantino film, "Jackie Brown", where he played an arms dealer, and said something similar about the AK-47.

Hateful Eight, especially the extended edition we can see on Netflix, is INCREDIBLE. I am not surprised this is your most viewed of the Quentin Tarantino series you've done.
And what a saga, Disney is really that afraid of competition. Theyre still doing the same tricks these days. This monopolistic behavior from Disney is going to lead to divestment if they keep it up.
