- Follow me on my journey renovating my old semi detached house in the North of England UK. I love DIY and will try my hand at anything. You'll see me getting stuck in doing most of the work myself including joinery, plumbing (occasionally some plastering) and a lot of decorating! In the summer you'll see me out in the garden keeping on top of my outside space. I'm not a professional but hope that my videos can inspire you to take on projects yourself that you thought weren't possible. GARDEN TRANSFORMATION | PATIO MAKEOVER | PART ONE
Hi guys, I'm so excited to share this with you - it's my garden transformation Part 1!
I've been working on this since getting the keys and for the past month, getting outside as much as possible on the dry days to give you some inspiration/ideas to make over your own garden/outside space as the weather begins to get warmer here in the UK.
I de-weeded the block paving patio, poured over some weed killer and patio cleaner, then jet washed to clean and brighten it up. I still need to pick up some kiln dried sand to sweep over to fill and gaps and prevent further weeds.
The fence was given two coats of Cuprinol Silver Copse and the stone inbetween painted in white. I added some stone chippings at the bottom to fill in gaps and freshen up the appearance.
I painted the external guttering and masonry, garden furniture, pots and chimenea (products linked below)
I picked up some additional plastic pots, hanging baskets and wall planters and filled them with various flowers:
Petunia, pansies, sweet peas, geraniums, fuchsias, hyacinths, roses, chrysanthemums, lobelia, clematis

Hi laura your new home is lovely its so nice seeing what you do with it. I bet you are loving having that garden space. I have some tiles on my step i want to paint what painr did you use for that. It makes such a difference. I like the pots xx
Thank you Lauren! Yes I love the garden so much 🥰 I painted the steps with Sandtex masonry paint. Not sure I recommend the black for steps actually, mine just look constantly dusty they really show up the dirt 😂 x
