- I recently discussed some guest house/ADU options from Amazon but there's more to the story, so here's an update.

Sears sold homes back in thev50's
Try 1920’s and earlier. I’m living in one from 1916
@@westwoodworth7626 They still sold them into the 40s
@@westwoodworth7626wow!!! That’s amazing
those were actually nice
But they weren’t this small tho
Add on all the extras, wire, water, power. Septic. Add on. 30k
Great point!
Yep, wiring, insulation, sheetrock, shower, sinks, AC, might as well by a fixer upper house
Fixer upper would make more sense but then you have to find one that isn’t in a high crime area
@@derrickwolter1fixer uppers and I mean full remodels are 300k in Cali low end average home price 750k
40+30= 70k plus a 10,20k land thats 100k to 120k which is good for a home instead of paying 300k+ .
Read the fine print. All you get is the steel frame. No doors, staircase, drywall, wiring etc.
Yes, and I could have made that more clear in my post. But you can buy all that stuff at HD and they'll even teach you how to do it. But still I'd hire a guy to do it professionally. Especially if you want it permitted.
I’m picturing it folding in on me if i built it. One strong gust of wind 😅
President Nixon's Father built the Family Home with a kit.... CZcams actually has videos, documentary-style, explained I was Bill and also tour the house which is still standing and in great condition
Its literally only the steel frame and parts to connect them, EVERYTHING else you have to buy yourself.
4 times more expensive than regular wood framed house. The frame is a small part of the overall costs to build a house. Land, excavation, foundation, rough plumbing, electrical, hvac, sheathing, insulation, decking/roof, lighting, counters, tubs, shower, drywall, painting, cabinets, exterior cladding, and on and on.
Awesome thank u
just inherited farm land and plan on getting permits to build a tiny home. Looking at designs if you have any please send them my way!
Hey! May your plans come to be 👍🏽❤️
I have built a tiny home on a 19k land I bought in a tourist area and i airbnb it, I make good money on that tiny home.
@@Mr.Bryan1234hey. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you make?
@@bryanjimenez5845 I have made enough to retire at my current age of 21, But i am going to keep hustling until 35 at least to leave some inheritance.
@@bryanjimenez5845he makes 40k a day ik him he my uncles sisters cousins weed man
Thanks
Thanks for the follow!
Apparently Sears and roebuck used to do the same thing
Yeah, but they were really nice and built out of Redwood and are still standing today.
is it stable?
I wonder if I can buy land for cheap in South Carolina than buy a home from home depot then rent it out and collect rent every month 💯💪🏾I’m from New York tell me if this a bad business plan
It's viable in New York where a closet costs like 3000, but in SC no one's going to rent it
@@ANONYMOUSAdmin232yeah, California's rent is crazy only really in San francisco, you go out to Santa Fe and it gets a lot cheaper a lot quicker. Make it right outside of the major city limits, and it astronomically drops.
Can you review the Architect Chin Rose Pine Cabin?
Amazing that my car costs far more than a small home! Crazy, most cars cost more than these. 🤪 crazy
Yeah, but this price doesn't include any of the major components like roofing, flooring, plumbing, etc. It'd be like if Ford sold you a frame and then you had to buy (and install) the engine, electrical, wheels, etc., (by yourself).
Are there plugs in here ? And lighting?
What's the name of the music u used to make this short ? and nice informative video.
I ain't gonna lie although that looks amazing on paper I would rather test my luck on getting more money first before I do that I want more than enough money that way I don't have to worry about being homeless and broke all the time
assuming these people don’t have homes on the first place. where do they get it delivered?
Erm to the land that they must own for the house to go on…💩
any idea on how long these sheds are rated to last
Tuff Sheds are rated for 40 years. You'll have to compare quality of other manufacturers to them.
what is the resale market like on these and what is the average maintenance cost compared to a traditional home? what about in a colder climate what are the r values of those walls@@TheSoCalRealtor
at the end of the day my house is over 60 years old and i can sell it for over 200k idk seems like these things are a scam@@TheSoCalRealtor
In California, you can now sell your ADU on your property as if it were a condo. So that should have some effect on the resale market, but it's too soon to tell. And as a realtor (not a contractor) I can't really speak on r values or maintenance. @@RealHexJoker
@@TheSoCalRealtor i have a feeling these things are going to depreciate in value similar to an automobile
These so called " tiny" houses don't fare well in a storm snd some states are not allowing you to put one up!
But isn’t is just the frames
Mostly. You need to buy everything including flooring, roofing, ... So they aren't as cheap as they seem. Tuff Shed has some better options.
Do you need a Permit?
Assuming you want to consider it an improvement on the property, which is most likely a yes, then you would need permits. Each city and county are different though, so go to Symbium.com to check your address.
They are way more expensive
Yeah these home are deceiving. Theres a whole lot more costs not covered
