Beautiful block. I love watching and listening to your posts because you always have beautiful blocks and I love the sound of your machine. It brings back memories of my grandmother sewing clothes for me when I was a child. I own that Singer sewing machine and it looks a lot like yours.

This is my first time watching your channel, and I’m so glad I did. What a pretty block, and nice and easy to assemble and sew, too! Just as you said, this is a great block to get started on matching points in the pinwheel center. 🥰

This is one of my fave blocks. I've included it in 8 quilts so far.

My only thought was taught when started quilting - put the white (solid) piece on bottom when sewing to HST rectangle. The reason is you are able to see where your point is when sewing. It helps to prevent losing the point in the finished seam. Also helps ensure the seams are going where you want them to before sewing rather than having to rip out afterwards. We were also taught to make sure the needle is down before pulling pins or adjusting unsewn portions.

Love this block Susan especially the two different blues used in the flying geese.
Good information on the dynamics of your process.

Yes this block and your original block are both beautiful. The block is quite interesting, I’m currently trying to finish two different quilt do the quilting on my sewing machine. Yes challenging but it is what it is, I have to say I prefer ruler work to free motion which I’m not very good at. I definitely would rather be sewing block together. Can I ask your opinion on interfacing? I have a quilt that someone else did, they’re in blocks and have been embroidered. I’m concerned because the fabric is lighter in weight, thinking it need to be interfacing faced. Do you have an idea as to what to use? Any suggestions would be fantastic, thanks for sharing your block, it’s on the back shelf for now. 👍❤️🙂

I have interfaced blocks before using a light weight Pellon fusible interfacing. It worked really well.
