lol yeah, let's not forget their claims that they are doing this so that they can limit the Mayor power... but they don't mention that when Max became Mayor, the position had almost no power and he, an admin, had to petition OOC to get the mayor position more power, and he kept doing it, and kept getting more power added. Anyone that wants to pretend that a non-admin Mayor would have ever been given anywhere near the power that the Mayor has, is being intentionally dishonest.
The next Mayor that is elected will have almost no power again, and they will say "You saw what the last Mayor did! We HAD to limit the power!" instead of being honest and saying that they want the Mayor role to be cosmetic, and management had to keep appeasing moonmoon so that he didn't go to a competitor server and take his viewers with him.

I mean the argument kind of makes sense if they're implying that not much happens on the weekend (meaning that the sentencing has less of an impact on the character/city than it should for a terrorism case), as well as bringing up the idea that they were deliberately sentenced over a weekend to make it as easy as possible for the streamers, ie giving them special treatment.

Kind of funny if you think about it. If the characters are the ones who are supposed to be punished by the laws, why would they care if it was done on the weekend when the streamer has his days off? It's almost like they want to punish the player for their actions, not the character.
They are so upset that CG only spent a few "Years" in prison for what they did, wouldn't it make sense to say that for the RP those days in Prison were 10 years each instead of the normal 1 year each, if the amount of Prison time is only a character punishment and not a player punishment?
This is one of the big issues that I have with people who whine about "Consequences". Beyond their extremely selective position on who consequences apply to, it is that they think they are entitled to apply consequences to other players, that has nothing to do with the character actions.

Honestly 4.0 was going ok for the first week or two and then it's gone to dog shit, I can see alot of people leaving the server. I think Nopixel needs a Admin restructure, A cop restructure and a law restructure to fix it. Max and Siobhan needs to be removed from their positions.
I would have thought the server would go for a corrupt free mayor for the first few terms to set up a government. I remember when Max targeted Etta, then he got mad at a doctor and took it out on both doctors and EMS (funny now his wife says high praise for health care in this country). As annoying and dramatic as this situation has been I think it's important for the longevity of the server to determine how realistic they want to make laws because idk if anyone realizes but punishment just doesn't work in rp. You can lock someone up for a week or a day and they will still do the same actions again just more carefully. Or maybe punish them enough that they'll make rp'ers get on other servers but thing about that is it usually only hurts the server who gave that rough in game punishment esp when it's involving big people like CG. This effect is even more so when the community agrees with the people who got punished. Thing is if what Ramee and K said about their talk with Buddha/Koil they tend to agree with how the laws should be made to make sense in their current world which couldn't be further from reality. Tbh moon should try Red Dead rp I think he might like it plus the slower pace allows for more realistic storylines.
