The judges usually go into court cases already thinking defendants/crims are guilty until proven innocent. They look for reasons to convict, regardless of what’s been argued and shown in court.

The DoJ was out of moons control. This is on crane and whoever else has control of DOJ ooc. It's been a shit show all of 4.0. Worse than 3.0 forsure.

It was always MoonMoon’s plan to f up the server, then f off to variety. I don’t blame him though. I blame NP management, which includes Koil, for making him an admin. I blame other senior admins like Saab for not permabanning him when he constantly broke rules, for constantly being toxic IC and OOC, and for abusing his power. I blame cop players for wilding out when they were given free reign on the server. I blame the biased and incompetent DOJ for not keeping balance and always siding with PD.

This is basically my pov as well. He tried opening eyes IC before he went OOC solutions.
I truly don't know how someone would fix the DOJ because it's not a position that people line up to play, plus it takes at least a decent understanding of the law.
My only suggestion is to turn it into an SBS clown court so it's at least enjoyable. The cops should not want the case to go to court because of that. That way they don't push stupid charges. Just a fun thought.
His jurisdiction argument is trash though, #1 it's based on semantics which if you allow that then every legal argument will be that n the law will have to be pages long with definitions of meaning of every word pertaining to that law like irl #2 it's a new world with a new government so Blaine county or San Andreas doesn't necessarily have to exist, if there's nothing in legislation for it to exist then it doesn't.
I agree though the foundation and structure of the government and laws is very weak but so has every update as I believe they should have built a much better structure so roleplayers would then have better direction of how they want the world as this update and every other one has seemed like they're targeting ppl/groups or putting up buffers taking ppls rp away. It just seems like no one puts more then 2 minutes of thought into anything on nopixel and the server literally makes ppl millions of dollars, it's quite amazing actually.

You would think that if the server owner wanted the whole place to be Los Santos he would tell his devs to delete everything that talks about Blaine county, no?

@@DakotaTheRotaLMAO, that's kind of point in the second paragraph that NO ONE in nopixel is willing to put more then a couple minutes thought into anything so no I don't n obviously the owners didn't think or pay attention to anything as they gave the power to a few ppl that then put barely any thought into it n called it a day like usual.
With that said just because some names/signs are still there doesn't mean there's any meaning to them without legislation giving them meaning to it. If the United States n the states government falls and Texas takes over then there is no more meaning to Minnesota and others states other then those are old signs that have been there. Legislation (laws) is what gives things meaning and what soze and koil for that matter fail to realize is the old government fell in the lore of 4.0 nopixel so therefore what was in the past no longer exists. Hope that helps you understand how it would work as no if the US did have a civil war and texas took over i dont think it would be anybody's main priority to change/take down all the signs.

Adams is the same judge that didn't listen to anything in the cg case. After checking phones they saw that they had already made the decision before the trail and he was being ordered on what to do by crane.

ive been saying it since he started playing soze again there is nothing he can do in character to fix these issues because the people creating the issues dont want them to be fixed once people in power start letting their feelings and egos control their characters theres nothing you can do in character to fix those issues unless soze becomes some kind of dictator

this is one of those "do you understand the words that is coming out of my fking mouth" moment. soon the judges won't know the difference between then and than, there, their, and they're.
Also if they are going to keep going back to letter of the law, why isn't the lawyer that CG planted the gun on her isn't charged? by the letter of the law she is guilty.
"letter of the law" should never be used in roleplay. If they go by the letter then arguing semantics should be allowed and then roleplay court will be 99.9% arguing semantics n laws will have to be pages long including definitions of the meaning of every word. I believe that judge just likes saying it tbh.
You also can't turn around and use spirt of the law when it suits your arguments, it's a dichotomy.
@@DakotaTheRota I agree with the choosing between the two is bs, but the spirit of the law (reason the law was created) is the only thing that should used in rp court.
Example if you remember wrangler would love to twist meanings of laws to put ppl on holds even though everyone knew why the law was created. Spirit of the law would shut that done even though using letter of the law, he could argue the semantics of the law n technically have an argument.
The ego act for example is meant to help protect citizen groups from being bullied by gangs, but technically the way it's written you could argue semantics that gang v gangs could be charged with the ego act as well as gangs are technically citizens (letter of the law) which in spirit of the law (reason for the laws creation) would be shot down. Spirit of the law is the only thing that should matter in rp court to streamline things and help keep ppl on the same page to stay away from semantic arguments.
I think its pretty simple. Letter of the Law should be used for all matters regarding the constitution, and everything else uses spirit of the law. Constitutions are short, simple and by far the most important document any government has. If you can't follow the letter of the law of a constitution then you have a problem.

I like willy and everything BUTTTT i honestly think 99.99% of all judges, cops and anyone with power inside the city is just bias toward max and his leech. Idk if its because they are worried about what could happen if max and his "leech" doesnt like them or if its because they like max and his "leech" but i feel like they are all bias to the point anyone that goes against anything max and her side with then they will just get fucked. Now i will say i think things will START to get better since ppl are investigating it now BUTTT i will say it will take alot since she has alot of inside ppl that could just get evidence fucked with and then get thrown out if needed. I just feel like there was 1 chance for the server to get better and koil(soze) was working toward that and it still might even tho he lost the case BUTTTTT it could also go downhill fast because 2 ppl have just as much power as a true god does on this server.

Angel was actually pretty good with the law yesterday. I'd say the only part she had trouble with was the treason charge because she still thought Soze was technically guilty but she was pushing for not guilty by way of insanity & Adams agreed but basically said he didn't want to do that because it would be a slippery slope then the jurisdiction stuff they both agreed Soze was correct but adams said he refused to rule that because he didn't want to do all the paperwork for the other people who have been arrested up north & refund all that money

Sad part is i was watching kylies pov of the deliberation & Judge Angel tried so hard to have this be not guilty but not because she understood the argument between "of the state" & "from the state" but because of the jurisdiction stuff & because she felt soze was crazy & need help not prison time & admas agreed with her but he basically said im gonna find him guilty anyways because i dont want to have to refund everyone who has committed a crime up north & do all that paperwork because the police didnt have jurisdiction so we can just give him a smaller sentece instead & recommend they fix the legislations then still messed that up by giving him 4 days with 3 served when he had already served 4-5 days between the first hold & first trial.

Adams should be removed as a judge for that. It wouldn't even be hard to refund or do the paperwork for that stuff. You can just copy and paste the same note into every case file stating that they were refunded. The criminals had already served their time. It'd be so easy. Literally just tell people that you aren't compensating them for the time they spent in prison as everyone assumed that Los Santos had jurisdiction and that the defendants could have brought up jurisdiction during their case but failed to do so. Just refund them the money they were fined. Its super easy. Also the vast majority of crimes were committed in the city, so it really wouldn't have been a big deal. If a lot of people push civil suits to be refunded, they could just combine all of the victims into the same trial and knock it out in less than 30minutes.
