Sublime guitar work from Bob Weston; he had that sweetly eerie and haunted sound that helped define the best Fleetwood moments. I'm so sorry he's gone.
He was a friend I haven't seen for 15 years, I always hoped to meet up with him again, sadly not. He drank in the bar I worked in 'The Neptune' and I joined him when not working. All the best to his family and frineds. John
Thanks so much for posting this! I never got to see Bob play. I enjoyed the early incarnations of Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green, Bob and others. Still have the vinyl. But my first Fleetwood Mac concert had Lindsey Buckingham as guitarist. I got to attend three FM concerts in the 70's total but this vid has me regretting not seeing them earlier. RIP Bob.
Thanks very much for uploading this. I have to admit, it's the first time for me to see Bob play live with the Mac. Nice 'southern-rock' feel to this track. Christine doesn't look half bad in this clip either.
Thank you for posting this great clip of Bob with the Mac. Check out his last public performance on You Tube: Hampstead Christmas Festival Part 3. Hopefully now he'll get the recognition he deserves.
Interesting at 3:38 Jimmy Page licks from Moby Dick solo and then also the switch selector in middle (2 pickups on) from Gibson Lespaul like Jimmy Page likely. Despite this Les Paul have a third P90 pickup in the middle. Beautiful guitar.
RIP Bob Weston...RIP Bob Welch.
That is some mighty fine guitar work. I'm surprised he didn't get more top level band work after leaving Fleetwood Mac.
@jblacktree I agree- Bob's playing was sublime - I was lucky enough to know him as a friend and musician. He will be missed
The great Fleetwood Mac before it became a pop song machine! RIP Bob Weston!

This will always be my favorite Mac line-up. So bummed to hear about Bob Weston.

Killer slide solo on the album.

Interesting axe Weston has there....a P-90 sandwiched between two 'buckers....gotta try that.
