  • This is the last but one vid in this series, near the end I look at the worn parts I removed.
I was hoping to get it all on this vid, but ran out of time so there will be another one of about ten minutes to finish off.

Had to change the Chain & sprockets & sort out the clutch on my TR6. What great help these video's have been. Showing the worn parts & what to look for was superb. I love your Vid's. I'm from Gods country in West Yorkshire. Trar

Well done! I've opened up my clutch today to change the springs. Thanks for providing the worn part examination at the end. Great for comparison. Helpful, educational and interesting as always. Cheers from Canada.

Wow! great tip on wrapping the splice with the copper strand to hold in place. Always struggled and fussed with that PITA. Simple always works!

good 'un John. Here's a stupid question - Why dont you use bullet connectors on the wires?

a little tip for you when soldering, take a plastic cap like off of a bottle of spray oil or stove spray or whatever, any thin plastic cap from an aerosol can, or the bottom of a plastic bottle, and put two slits in it, one on either side. It will hold your wires for you and catch all the slag solder and everything.

Hi srcheney :-) its a more permanent way of joining the wires with next to no chance of a bad connection unlike a spade or bullet.
It will be quite a while before I need them separating, then I will just cut them, until then the wires are as reliable as I can make them.

I want you to know that you inspired me to start a page up on the Hinckley Bonnies which doesn't seem to be a lot out there. You Meriden blokes tend to be a tad more resourceful. Good stuff and I really enjoy watching your videos even though I don't even have Meriden Trumpet yet!
