I really believe that bit at the end there when he discusses his inability to showcase his full skillset due to his limited fight lengths. I think he's going to impress again in his next one. So grounded and quite genuine in my opinion, makes the statement feel real. Think he's seriously going to take over
During the fights I noticed that the crowd was electric - thought it was amazing! ... but when I heard the roar of "YEEAAAHH!!" immediately after Paddy got the submission & then after Tom won his fight, it sounded like I was watching an Atlanta Braves home game win over a super competitive back'n'forth game 7 World Series. (For those who no nothing of Atl Braves baseball - the electric atmosphere that Braves fa ns create & the fans themselves are known as Braves Country) Braves fans are the best fans in baseball. To compare mma fans to baseball fans is crazy because the reaction to a world series win is a reaction that has been brewing up for 162+ games & sometimes for years, even decades.
Any way... the O² crowd was freakin amazing. I just think it's beautiful to see fighters receive support to that extent & can feel as accomplished & appreciated as they deserve to be. I know that it adds so much sustenance to their lives & gives them a moment which 'special' doesn't even begin to describe.

Bruh, Tom could literally be fighting for an interim title in his next fight. We do know that there will be a heavyweight interim title fight in the summer, and ideally that fight would be Jones and Miocic, but with Jon's troubles with negotiations and Stipe's potential retirement, it is very possible that fight could be between Tuivasa and Aspinall, or one of them against either Jones or Miocic, so Tom better get ready quick.

I know everyone will hate on this comment but ive known tom for over 10 years as i trained jujitsu with his dad so he was always on the mat anyway with everyone. He is the most skilled fighter ive ever seen no matter the weight. I could confidently say tom could kill francis in the same fashion as saturday no cap hes that good and youve all seen maybe 40% of his skillset.
Tom is spot on at interviews
He has a tough job now against Curtis Blaydes, but if he wins then he'll be ready to fight for the belt and I'm an Aspinall fan here in Brazil 🇧🇷

Tom's by far my favorite HW fighting right now, his personality and skill are undeniable. @Eight Loco well u assumed wrong.....not even close, although Gane is a good fighter I'm not a fan. My fav HW for the last 2 decades has been Andre Arlovski, dudes a legend. While hes still winning some fights, he'll never make another title run, but Tom's unique and exciting in the HW division. His movement is insane for such a big guy, plus I think hes got the personality and the skillset to be a champ fairly quickly
What Tom did to Volkov was so impressive!!! Dudes had 40-45 fights or something like that and only been finished I think 2x before, but nobody did it as easy as Tom!! Yeah Derrick Lewis ko'd him but only after getting his ass beat for 14:50 and then he just happened to land one of his sledgehammers on Volks head lol. Tom's a future champ, and I think MUCH sooner than 2024!!

the truth is even if Tom is one of the best, he knows he can lose to anyone in the top5, especially at HW. But he also knows he has the tools to win against anyone.
This game is about making the less mistakes possibles and be close to perfection on a specific night.

Stipe got skipped over for the interim. Ignored for the trilogy. People still talk about Gane getting an interim shot. Stipe has put in the work, best UFC heavyweight of all time. Most defenses. He gets the next shot, trilogy with Francis or interim. No question. Props to Tom for saying Stipe deserves it. Really really, next for Tom should be Gane or Lewis. Tai should be fighting Stipe for the Interim.

Tom's good no doubt, his style though seems really explosive with the striking and how he fights. I can see him slowing down in round 3 a lot. It's his speed advantage at 6,5 this guy ain't a joke but Jones beats him

I think he just wants more experience. Also I think there's quite a big jump in levels between Volkov and then the likes of Gane and N'Gannou.
Why 2024 tho? He wants Tuivasa and Tuivasa is like #3 or #5 after KOing Lewis.
Because the UFC isn't paying him enough to fight the top 5, so he doesn't want to do it yet. He is smart to call out Tai instead of Gane or Stipe, so when he wins, he will get a better contract...

From what little we’ve seen of Tom he has amazing speed, fight IQ, technical skill, all Francis has on Tom possibly is strength and that’s ALL! He just said he’s going to put on more muscle, but he’s only got 13lbs of room left in his frame…I can’t wait to see in any case.
