2:36 There's a fine line between 'simple' and 'easy.' Vanguards and Wrathwalkers are simple in the fact that if you let them breathe in your general direction you just die. Fighting them without losing a lot of units is hella spooky.

The Vanguard is unironically my least favorite unit in the entire game simply because of the impact that it's had on custom campaigns. Everyone loves giving factions their "correct" units but you just fight so much Tal'darim it gets really old really fast. The official campaigns made a very deliberate choice to give enemy Tal'darim regular immortals even in LotV; the Vanguard was never made balanced to be used against players simply because it was never intended to be available to the AI, and as a player unit it's less broken because the player actually has to pay for their units.
Plus one for the level 5 so that Grant's future economy is stretched even more thin.
Don't get Perdition Turrets cuz Grant will forget about Perdition Turrets until All-in !
And he will just build one perdition turret instead of two, so they don’t one shot zerglings.
Yes Grant "absolutely" shouldn't get them because he would "never" build them. "Absolutely" not.
Perdition turrets are kinda useless with that massive anti-light damage of usual turrets. If only Grant bought that +2 upgrade...
He will also forget the lvl 4 and 5 of weapon and armor upgrades, so this is not the best tactic

5th tier upgrade let's go. The gang stand their ground and blast the Tal'darim in every direction is absolutely pure cinematic there. All In is gonna be a real masterpiece to witness ngl.
This plays out like an episode of a kid show. Tychus and Pals just styling on the Tal'Darim in a hardfought battle, but their plot armor (Grant's ability) just keeps them alive.

Wow, I was really scared at the end of that mission. I don't know if the Laser drill counts as a building for the "no buildings" loss condition, but I saw 1 building left standing on the minimap at the fade to black. Somehow, though, Grant pulled off the impossible and not only rushed the dig but did it first try!
The Laser drill is also ally owned until he hacked it. So legitimately might have lost if he didn't.
You know that mineral mining idea would be a really fun idea for a meme for the laser drill

HUGE appreciation that the Modder had a big pop up for the Hacking Codes in the CC. That sort of stuff is usually missed even if it's a casual mention, so using red font and lots of space was super helpful to see!
Also I have no clue what All In will be like but I fully expect the team to be against the artifact in the final stretch just doing anything they can to survive.
Grant, Tychus' ultimate isnt attack speed, its weapon damage. He does 20% more damage per other outlaw
L5 upgrades. I think an appealing part of this campaign is seeing the fully upgraded outlaws popping off in the late campaign.

As for the upgrade, I agree with other posters. You're already so strapped for cash at any given point that the perdition turrets are probably just going to be a drain. Unless they're buffed I also don't see them being much better (if at all) than the current slate of static defense options. Go for the level 5 upgrades!
The detonators upgrade also gives the turrets a bomb on death effect. Its super good.
a 'cloaking' shield is bascily a thing that is in development IRL
It's more of micro cameras on the front to be displayed behind the shield.
@@dvd1098 look up "invisibility shield" with a bit of Lenticular curved plastic you can even make one yourself without any electronics
Get the "Outlaw Weapons and Armour", as it could prove useful at some point. Pettition turrents are just worse versions of the normal turret you have - shorter range and only ground attacks.
Especially considering that there is an upgrade to buff the turrets damage versus light.
The mining drill playing the exploding animation when you won the last missions was pretty funny.

I'd suggest the Level 5 upgrades over the Perdition Turret. I very much doubt the Perdition Turret will have as much value.

New video let's go also I think you should go for level 5 armor and weapons upgrades I know the turret is good specially in this mod but I feel like making the outlaws bigger might be better
I feel like those little boosts of troops that you get at the beginning are really cool so giving them the survivability and utility they need to actually be useful alongside the outlaws makes the bunker the better upgrade to me anyway
As per usual, our boy Blaze, the best unit in starcraft 2 the firebat is a hero. One day grant will see the light of the perditions tower and firebat!
Crooked Sam’s stun upgrade is really really bad. I think grant is slightly confused by it? Or am I missing something?Maybe he is thinking enemy gets stunned when you stick the explosive? But With the upgrade the explosion stuns the target. Almost no normal unit survives the explosion to get stunned. The explosion deals 500 damage without upgrades and literally no one has more than 500 hp in this mission. So the 700 minerals and 250 gas has literally 0 value in this mission?
assume nothing change like in coop,Sam stun nade stun when you stick it in enemy, i dont sure if the mod maker change that,because if the stun is after the nade then it's quite bad
pretty sure the mod maker didn’t change it at all. You can clearly see it doesn’t stun at all throughout the video. Very clear tell at @12:40. Vanguards blasting with the bomb attached. I’m about 95% certain the explosion actually stuns not the sticking of the bomb in coop too.
@@easymodegaming7334 the bomb stun and disable detection when sticking in coop,it's stun even the hybrid,the only things the bomb cant stun is the ultralisk with the frenzy ability, so i think the mod maker change something in this mod or it's bugged
@@uc-cr7uq the mod said on discord that it doesn't work against heroic in this mod cause it would make all in and other missions piss easy so it has been changed; however it has been buggy where it didn't work at all
I like the idea that you have to pay for the laser control. It shows that there is effort in doing it and you have to make the decision when to pay for it.
10:47 It's odd. I got the mod updated about 3 or 4 days ago, and started playing through it for the first time.
Crooked Sam is properly rendered on my end... Maybe it's something related to a specific graphics set up?
loving this series as Tychus is genuinely my favorite coop commander; i love the "babysit your troops, not your base" style of his setup.
Also, the main reason nobody uses the Spectre hero is because every coop mission just SPAMS detection on hard, and that is her main function.
Grant, the final upgrade on Sirius is OP. His turrets provide an enormous DPS boost, they tank, and (I am pretty sure) they apply fear as well. On coop, with the Lone Wolf prestige, Sirius can solo every Brutal +1 mission (with a teammate).
Rank 5 weapons please! It's fun to watch the outlaws cleave through entire armies, but it also makes it a skill based thing, if you take the wrong outlaw won't matter how much better their guns are, thus rewarding smart gameplay.

I'm actually glad you played The Dig without grabbing the lab upgrade. I've changed my mind. The bunker is way better then the turret that gets blown through like tissue paper, and reduces the need for a health upgrade.
Eugh. The Tychus grenade not even stripping Vanguards of all their shields is painful to watch
I'm honestly shocked Grant didn't do what I did on this mission. Small numbers of those turrets really don't do much, but Rattlesnake makes a huge difference. You start with 4 turrets around the base and once tychus was built I salvaged them to instantly get rattlesnake.
Constant action? No real option for static defense? I think this is the most fun Grant's had with a mod in a long time haha.

I wonder how hard it would be to kill the Tal'Darim base here, considering you need 1k 1k the target the drill haha
I don't think this mod gives you any scans/flying buildings for Drill vision, so you'd need actual units for that. And if you actually manage to get Outlaws inside Protoss base, they'd be able to deal with it quite efficiently on their own. Still, this would require some additional Lab upgrades, there's quite a bit of extra power in those.

wow, this was super scary. with none of the usual terran safety measures this mission feels completely different. the last stand at the very end also wouldn't be possible with the usual forces.

I'd say at this point get the turret, just go all in on becoming the master of turrets.

Level 5 upgrades will be great for the later levels when you have tons of money, you can spam predation turrets in any other mod.

5th upgrade will be more used and useful for Grant's normal play style in my opinion, so naturally I will request the resource dump of the Perdition Turret because I love watching Grant struggle needlessly :)

Got to love the half health hero SCV who ignored everything else going on in the base to keep the laser drill repaired. Man spent half the video doing nothing but working on that drill.
Sad he never tried to clear the base, i would have loved to see his reaction to the 50+ ascendants that hang out at every base lol
Hmmm, Healion, HEAL-ion, Hea-LION.
I’ve got an idea.
Healion: fast support unit that heals biological units and can transform into a melee tank.
Abilities
Heal: heals friendly biological unit by X ho for Y energy
Lion mode: drains energy to transform the Healion into a single target melee tank (turns it into a predator)
Armory upgrades
Twin-linked nano-projectors: Healion can heal two units at once for the same energy cost. You can bring half as many Healions and more real fighters in their place, or just have more healing in general.
Lion’s pride: Healions in lion mode count as biological and passively heal biological units in a radius around them. It started out as a bug where the healers never turned off but the people alive because of it aren’t complaining, so let’s make it a feature and pretend we meant to do that.
idea, grant; if you could get this to happen? heroes only campaign. basically every time you do a hero mission, you unlock that hero, like this; but ONLY the guys you use (like Raynor at the beginning of wings, you get him for the rest of the missions. then you would get the next hero, but till then you only get Raynor)

2:04 actually... would make sense, would probably also be somewhat easy to make.
For that type of Cloaking, you really just need the inside of the shield to be a display connected to a camera on the outside of the shield. keeping that camera safe would probably be the biggest issue, honestly.
it just occured to me that if the enemy is dropping into your backline to target down your SCV's you can just medivac the SCV's & put them right back down where you got them to give them cloak & healing so they dont die while you walk over. thats a really unique strategy to this mod

The best upgrade on Sirius' turrets are not life and damage, it's the one that makes them explode on death. It can be much stronger that even the missiles, don't forget to get it!
It makes the turrets into very strong grenades that can also shoot if not killed.
Edit : Oh yeah, I forgot it also makes Sirius deal that explosion.
But wait, in coop the damage is huge ... 50 for the turrets here? Do I remember wrong or did they get nerfed?

Just tested it, and Lt. Nikara autocast heal can heal any unit, both bio and mech; still can't heal structures though, so it can heal Sirius for sure, but idk about it's turrets
Nothing a few outlaws can barely handle.
I honestly hope that, just like in Heroes of the Storm, they give you the laser drill to drop and to upgrade later in this mod! GGWP!
I think at 9:30 grant picked SCV with medivac. Because once he unload it, around 9:36 you can see SCV with stealth. And only way to get it would be the medivac effect. So it maybe picks all units, but you need at least one hero in it to activate?
The D99 detonator ability also makes the turrets deal damage on death
I think that Sam's grenade never actually stunned anyone, the team always just kills the enemy before the 5 second trigger

At least in Co-op, Sam's upgraded charges stun *until* they explode not when.
Sam is in some ways the least useful outlaw once you build the deathball. might have been better with Nikara.
@@glenmcgillivray4707 Sam dps is really high tho,only after tychus when he get all his upgrade,but his range and the low hp make him less useful when you got someone like Nux to simply blow the wave combine with tychus nade,and if grant pick Nikara then he can't clear the wave fast enough to defend other side

The best videos are always when you have fun, Grant. Prime example today. I comparatively don't even like the Tychus mod that much, but today's video was totally great.

I'm genuinely shocked that Grant chose the Bunker over Outlaw HP. Felt like Grant's distaste of Static Defense would've swung the vote to Outlaw HP.
Anyways, Pros and Cons of the Research Upgrades
LV5 upgrades
Pros: It's LV5 upgrades
Cons: It's expensive and time consuming to get
Perdition Turrets
Pros: Massive AoE and burrow, good survivability
Cons: Auto-Turrets already covers Anti-Light, and Burrow means it can't tank ranged damage for the Auto-Turrets like the Bunker can.
Honestly, I, that is myself, would get Perdition Turret mainly because, aside from my(very real) Perdition Bias, I'm not familiar with how strong Tychus is, and I don't know if spending the time and resources to get 5/5 is worth it compare to just getting Gear Upgrades and blitzing the mission faster, that is, if you even have the time to research 5/5 upgrades in the first place.
If you're patient or confident enough in Tychus's strength, go for 5/5 upgrades, but if you're being more aggressive and out there with Tychus's "army", Perdition would be the safer choice. Even then given how money hungry Tychus is it's going to be difficult even building some semblance of Static Defense, as we've seen just now, on this video.
Still, given that the Missile Turret is salvageable, I presume Perdition are also salvageable as well. Not sure how good or important that is, but it's still good to note.
tl;dr The option to get 5/5 is a bit of a commitment in both resources and time to even unlock it, let alone research it, while Perdition is always ready to be build, even if Tychus doesn't want to be spending money on Static D.

Samsung Safety trucks were introduced 8 years ago. Wireless camera in front, screens on the backside. Showing drivers behind if they can overtake.
Should be applicable to a shield.
16:15 Have you ever tried toggling Auto cast on an upgrade or Outlaw? Basically instead of waiting and clicking, you toggle it to happen the game tick it is ready.
23:10 The turrets also get it, making them grenades.
Definitely want Perdition Turrets so that Lewis, Miles, middle name, Blaze, can have some pets/friends
Just a little reminder that the last Tychus upgrade gives damage, not attack speed :O
sirius's dps comes from the turrets, not from the hero - you can usually let sirius tank a bit, but you may need a bit more micro to move him forward
We just cleared one doom mission, so clearly the next location should be the other challenge run doom mission: Trains!
Rattlesnake heal also heals buildings and since its a %hp heal it completely trivializes repairs on big buildings lol
L5 weapon/armor, cause why would you build the perdition turret when you already have a turret... and Sirius.
And on that note. Fully upgraded Sirius is amazing, he can hold the fort down all by his lonesome (note that due to the charge, cd and duration of the turret, you can pre-place them such that you have like 8-10 online for a fight). This will allow you to do a 4-1 split and not have to constantly go back and forth.
The normal turret range upgrade is a nice combo with it, as you can have those in the back. It's the reason I didn't get bunker as well, Sirius turret can do all the tanking in terms of defense.
You should get the Third last upgrade for the Reaper. Makes him survive like 80% more often.

The MEDIVAC works on the SCVs! 9:30 I didn't see the scv picked up the first watch but the cloaked scv seconds later stood out like a sore thumb to me. Lv 5 upgrades are best because they are proper Tychus mechanic

As for the lab choices, i'd say perdition, because at least you won't forget to build those until all in...right? XD
Also, does the turret armory upgrade affects the sirius one? if so you should grab it, and the sirius explosion is great for zerglings because the turret also explodes
The healion could work like the Queen transfusion in the other mod that is running.
sirus's ult is nice as one of the last ones to grab just to make the turrets better at tanking but probably not worth it for more than that
Sirius is my most liked character, he is not that durable but he got Turrets which can distract enemies and does damage which is cool
Lvl 5 armor is so huge. Think about the dmg of hydras, roaches, and mutas. Each armor reduces more damage percenrile wise so 6 total armor is huge. It brings so much survivability. The damage is nice because more dmg lesds to less getting hit
Grant, Rattlesnake's abilittncan heal buildings, and Tychus' ultimate is for 20% damage per outlaw. Not attack speed. Cheers!
