Matt, anyone who has the logic "How do you not expect me to drive it like I stole it when I have to hot wire each time I start it" deserves a place on your team.
Absolutely.
Best line of the video! Hilarious! :D
Great delivery too. Nailed her line.
She was just reading her lines. You could tell those were not her words but what she was told to say
@@stephanequimper1871 Second best is obviously, "You guys get paid for this?!"
Kaitlin has jokes, scares Matt, beautiful smile, not afraid to send it......she will make a great addition to the team!
Nice Girl! Samorri needs a turbocharger.
@@alvaro2338 and gears.
Just needs to work and weld like Lizzie...that's the main thing. She already has a BIG part of the driving down.
The pagehits go down quickly whith less blondes around. ^^
Loved the "How can I not Drive It Like I Stole It when I have to hot wire it to start it?"
LOL
Dang, that little lady is hard on equipment but I love her smile AND Matt's look of sheer terror. LOL
A new crew member with a personality that is different from every other team member while being open to the fluid style so prevalent in the normal day to day opporating process throughout the company. An absolutely perfect fit.
"Don't scare me." "Then don't ride with me"..."You guys get paid for this?" Her one liners make her invaluable. Don't let that one get away.
Kaitlin, "You tell me, don't drive it like you stole it, yet I have to hotwire it every time I start it". 🤣
Matt: Dont scare me anymore...
Kaitlin: dont ride with me then....
PLEASE GIVE HER A SPOT ON THE TEAM!
That was so fun to watch. Number one hire Kaitlyn she fits in great with your team. She drives like she stole it and does not apologize for doing so. She made Matt show some fear on that one hill. You can tell the whole team was having a good time. Lots of smiles. I know y’all will turn the Samorri into an awesome machine for off roading. Can’t wait to watch the re build.
Put the old Ranger 2.3 4cyl in it.
It's a simple engine and parts are available everywhere.
PowerNation built one awhile back.
The dirt track racing world is full of the little Ford 2.3 L Four Bangers.
The 2.3 would be perfect
Matt: No more scaring me.
Kaitlin: Maybe you shouldn’t be driving with me then…
Matt’s Mind: Hired! ❤
he's learning how jamie feels on dodgy roads
"don't expect me not to drive it like i stole it when i have to hot wire it to start it!" best quote ever on this show, Kaitlin is a thousand times yes!
The wife and I believe that Kaitlin would make a great addition to your crew. Plus she adds to the uniqueness of your crew since Lizzie has gone away from your daily work, etc. Still loving your programs/videos.❤
Yes Matt, Tom and the MORR Crew...definitely hire Caitlyn as part of the crew...she has a great personality, she's smart, adventurous, fearless and fun (remind you of anyone)?! She will kill it as part of the channel!
Kaitlin would be perfect. She’s an accomplished rock crawler, fearless, has a desire to learn welding, and above all else has an infectious laugh and smile. I think she’s a perfect fit for the MORR Team.
My vote is a big YES for Kaitlyn! She’s beautiful and Fearless. Anyone who can throw a scare into Matt with a mischievous smile on her face is an awesome team member and definitely a keeper!
Yes. She`s adorable.
Yes, hire that young lady, with her off-road experience that's a plus!
We agree that Kailyn will be a great addition to your team. Tom's rig needs to be painted retro two-tone.
As for the Sami, it needs more weight in the front. We love this channel and watch it daily.
Conversion to vw1.9tdi for Sammy has bin done many timesand very succesfull. Bonus is the weight in the front.
Absolutely hire Caitlyn! The fact that Matt was terrified and she just kept giggling was priceless! The girl seems to have no fear! Great addition to the team.
Miss Lizzie and Miss Caitlin are like blood sisters. I remember the joy Lizzie got being dragged at speed out of the desert in that derelict car, no wheels, no door locks, and more. I reckon Caitlin would be enjoying it just the same. She would make a great follow on.
She's a professional rock crawler, she has personality galore, and i think she can fire back at the crew....what's not to love about Kaitlyn? She's a keeper!!
Well stated. That's it exactly.
Agreed!
new lizzy drives better than she welds
for now
Hire the girl! I'm sure Caitlin will add some polish to some of the rough edges! She's got my vote! 👍
I like the idea, but clearly that thing will need A LOT of work. You're going to need practically a whole new engine to avoid stalls and give enough weight to actually cling-and-climb. Lower gears, and some pretty serious counter-weights not unlike how the Mega-Wrecker is occasionally braced. This is going to be a very interesting build!
One vote for Kaitlin! Her smiles are priceless...
That young lady's father has to be proud. He raised her right. She doesn't care how many tires are on the ground. All four could be in the air and she will hammer down laughing. Matt is pounding the panic button, and she is not letting up. Matt your viewers love her and if you don't make her part of the crew, it could be a bad business choice.
She already has a channel with her dad that competes in off road events.
Who is this girl??
You should do DigDug in the classic brown/cream panel finish, with a chrome pinstripe around the two tone. Classic and elegant. 😊
This will be fun.
Hire Katlin!
A consideration. I spent 31 years in big wreckers. I've had Samurai's & a Vitara. Great offroading because they're short.
Your issue will be wheel base vs front end weight. Wreckers hang most everything off the back. So remember this formula.
Empty Front Axle Weight (A) Diveded by 2 Times the Wheel Base in inches (B) divided by the overhang (C) Equals the maxium save weight you can tow & maintain steering. (X) (A÷2) X B ÷ C = X. I know.... it's algebra. But the math doesn't lie.
Overhang is the distance from the end of the boom to the rear axle.
1500 faw /2= 750
750 X 80" wb = 60,000/ 60" overhang = 1,000 lbs save lifting weight to tow.
This is if your front axle weight is 1,500 lbs. Hopefully you can get there by adding a winch. Since the Samurai's weigh 2,000 lbs.
If you 4 link it & stretch whe WB by a few inches? It might help!
Have fun. Make It Katlin's project & ride! This will be great to watch.
Thanks
Kaitlin is incredible, don't let her get away! The looks she puts on Matt's face are worth a million alone.
Definitely hire Kaitlin! Her never ending smile and enthusiasm will light up any situation Matt gets her into! She nailed welding on her first try!
The samurai is a great idea! Take a look at some of the old Willys rigs with booms, like Moe the Toe a ‘46 CJ-2A. Keep it compact, full of torque and low low gears. Make it so you can cary a small rig out when they pancake all 4 wheels, no trailer, no dragging but pull it up and carry it.
You would probably be better off using a Long wheel base Samurai, as a base for your recovery vehicle. More stable, better ride and more room for power/transmission upgrades.
Caitlyn is a breath of fresh air! You're already teaching her to weld and she is an expert in the off road vehicles, bring her on!
I want to see her handle the Big Wrecker and the Bombee! She's a natural. 👍😎
Kaitlin would be an awesome addition to Matt’s Off Road Recovery!!!! Anyone that can scare Matt is awesome in so many ways! I bet she could scare Paul in a demolition derby.
Hey Matt, if you're looking for a mini wrecker look for one of those bongo trucks or mini truck. It already has a 8ft bed on it. It might help you save some time in modifying that Suzuki. Then you can turn the Suzuki into a mini banana so you have a support vehicle for the tiny trails. Just my suggestion, really enjoying the videos. Take care.
I always thought the SaMOORi would be a support vehicle. Extra gas, keys, victory pies, water, food, more gas, etc.
Ok, this has to happen. For those of you who may not know, the Double Sammy trail at Sand Hollow, apparently got its name when 2 Suzuki Samurais rolled over there. So, i think the ultimate test for the future "Worlds smallest offroad wrecker", should be the conquering of Double Sammy. What do you say?
💯 percent agree!!
Kaitlin is just what MORR needs!
I think that was the first time I saw FEAR on Matt's face.😂
I was wondering if Caitlin would stick around. She definitely has the pedigree with her rock crawling background. 👍
It was great!
The boom alone makes that Samurai look like it’s going to pop a wheelie. 😂
Tom I am no engineer but the two tone brown old skool paint job would look great with the bed of the truck!! Tires and wheels.. great truck 🤙
Add another YES vote for hiring Kaitlin! She has skills, personality, perseverance, and a great sense of humor.
Kaitlin's fearless, smart and has the right sense of humor for these jokers.
Tom, my suggestion for Dig-Dug's paint scheme is three-tone : white, cream/tan and brown.
I love the concept of a micro wrecker and like another viewer wrote, it's going to need a lot in the way of power and suspension. What intrigues me the most is how you can keep it anchored. The point of a boom on a small vehicle like that is for lifting while on very narrow roads. In the case of a shelf road you'll want that boom for lifting small vehicles that have gone over the side. For that to keep such a light wrecker on the road, you might think about either more winches, one on each side, or adding telescoping or folding out riggers that can widen the foot print when lifting. Loving the Channel, Keep up the great work!
I love how Matt always brings 3 or 4 people on recoveries but keeps building wreckers with 2 seats, lol.
Maybe they could harvest a Subaru BRAT rear seat and put quick-locks on the mount to move it from truck to truck.
@@jrrarglblarg9241I think some rear facing jump seats ontop of the wrecker's toolboxes would be fun.
@@raydelien7947 oh ya and with a 5 point harness belt for security
That's why he keeps building MORR wreckers. To bring MORR people!
Why not hang a sofa off the boom of the wrecker! Put it in a sling and have at it.
Matt: No, No, go right! You’re scaring me.
Caitlyn on the hard obstacle laughing all the way up: Maybe you shouldn’t ride with me. 😂😂😂
❤
Yes! Please hire Caitlin as a member of the team! I remember when you added Lizzie, I think Caitlin will do exceptionally well !!
Friend of ours got his F250 sunk in the mud out in the woods, like Blue Steel. It was sunk to the axels. Called several wrecker service and no one wanted to come out. Until refered to a guy who specialized in this type of situation. Guy shows up in a Isuzu pickup on what looked like a 6" lift and mud tires. It was just the frame, motor, and the shell of the cab with a roll cage built around the cab. Huge winch mounted on top of the cab. Made sense, we all doubted but he pulled it out no problem. Smart actually and coolest thing I've seen.
Hire Kaitlyn, she’ll fit perfect in your mold. Lizzy came along ways with MORR. I can only imagine where Kaitlyn will go.
Hire her! She has a great foundation with off-roading to build from. I'm looking forward to seeing her learn and develop new skills.
I think dig dug would look great in a gray kind of like the shirt you wearing, similar to what the bed color already is. It sets it up on the MORR color scheme but still sets it apart. And absolutely bring Katelyn on. It's good to show girls that they can be ANYTHING they want to be.
A definite yes to hire Kailyn. She is a no fear get it done driver and a good welder.
Katelynn would make an amazing addition to the team! I wish we could see how she and Lizzy would work together, and Lizzy train her on everything she knows.
Caitlin isn't afraid to give it the beans. I knew this was a testing period for Caitlin. Bring her on. It was great seeing Lizzie grow into the position. Pass the torch.
Love how Matt does function over fashion we dont need name brands - keep it real
Peanut in the back of the samorri was adorable!!
Kaitlin seems like a solid bet, her banter is great and she is hands down a fantastic driver😊😊😊
Is it possible that Caitlyn/Kaitlin (?) is the best off road driver at MORR?
@@markmcleod5079Not yet... but I bet we see her turn into that!
Don't let Kaitlin slip away. A great asset to the team
Dig Dug is quickly becoming my fav truck of this channel i cant wait to see what Tom does with it !
I love how she just SENDS it.
This channel works best when Matt and other experienced employees are put in the seat of being educators and work dads. That was refreshing to me with Rudy, Lizzy, Rhett and now Kaitlin. Great show guys!!
What engine are your going out in for more power
Hire Caitlin? Absolutely, she is fun, fearless and safety conscoius - even wears a seatbelt!
Rory also has the torque of a big block. Certainly can tell Caitlin (sorry if I misspelled your name) is use to timed events. Just watched the end. Caitlyn would make a great addition to the team
Definitely paint dig dug tan and brown, I’ve always loved that color combination.
Nobody will replace Lizzie, but Kaitlin fits right in. Looking forward to future videos with her!
she has a young trevor/rudy/jamie energy
Well said! And Kaitlin already knows how to drive, whereas Lizzie had to be taught.
Miss Lizzy but Kaitlin is a joy to watch. Nice fun young lady keeps Matt on his toes! Hope she sticks around.
yeah i miss Lizzy too,,,, she was with the team for a very long time....
What happened to Lizzy? I’m new to the channel!
@@bigsirenguy Eventually left the Recovery game to focus on ranching full time from what I remember, as that's what she truly loves doing.
@@justinlynch3Plus, she got married.
The Samorri looks like a playful puppy playing for the first time!
Katelyn yes hire her. The Samurai will pop wheelies with a boom in the back. Having a huge winch and a heavy front bumper can help distribute more weight
Seriously, hire her! She’s got great team chemistry! And awesome screen presence!
Seriously? Don't you think that was the plan all along?
Lizzie's a tough act to follow but it looks like Caitlin can blaze her own trail!
She quit?
@@chuckwalla2967yah, earning minimum wage and she got married.
@@chuckwalla2967 - She’s been gone since like springtime, I think. Working on her husbands family’s ranch.
@@DarkHawk666 Where'd you hear she was making minimum wage. I find that very hard to believe.
@JsonKravitz she was a welder I doubt she was making minimum wage
Matt always bring out the best in his crew in the nicest way. It's so great to see.
Tom, think ya should paint it a desert tan like the old land cruisers. Still yelllow, but your own shade.
Hire her! From the one liners to giving you a scare she'd be an awesome addition to the team.
Kaitlin needs to be part of the crew! It looks like she fits in well with everyone and is willing to learn the ropes. She will make a great addition the crew.
Paint on digdug I like the 2 tone, but follow it through on the flat bed. Most of it being the light color, would make it flow and look good. Yes I think that Kaitlyn would be a good addition to your team.
So I am a little late to the party, but first, yes hire Caitlin, I want to see more of the faces Matt had in this video! Priceless!!!! Secondly, Dig Dug, I think the two tone brown would be sick looking!! Course it would remind me of “The Fall Guy”. Keep up the amazing videos!!!
Kaitlin is the one that keeps this whole thing from being just one big "Boys night out".
I've heard it fraised differently....something about sausages. Must be some bbq thing.
katelyn is doing such a great job! already has experience in crawling and has the drive to learn and expand more on her offroad knowledge! i see too many people mentioning her as a “replacement” to lizzy, but let’s not see it that way, and more so as Katelyn being an “addition” to the ever evolving MORR family!
I think dig dug would look good with the cream in a stripe across the middle, brown on top and below, and white on top and below the brown. Like a 5 layer cake
Hi Matt and crew, As an owner of several Suzuki Samurais and one that has a quite a few mods done to it I will say that Trail Tough products out of Oregon has a really good selection of quality parts and they are great people to deal with when it comes to Suzuki stuff. You would be wise to put a suzuki 1.6 motor in that with stock transmission and go with the Sumu 6.4 gears in the t-case. Lockers in the diffs - Chromolly axles and lower diff gears - the small motor needs all the help it can get. As far as the suspension - you guys know that part hands down.
She is fearless! Matt says don’t scare me anymore, and she says the best thing ever. “Probably shouldn’t ride with me then.”
Yes, you should hire Kaitlin. She knows how to drive, fearlessly, and she has a great sense of humor. It will be fun to watch you teach her things, and watch Tom teach her how to do the correctly‼️🤣
Dig-Doug should get an awesome wrap or paint scheme. Maybe a design contest for us fans? 😎
Tom go with the two tone paint job, retro the heck out of that retro wonderful truck. and of course Caitlin is a must hire, she has the confidence on the pedal and seems to be a natural in front of the camera, win win for you all
Katelynn: You can't expect me not to drive it like I stole it, when I have to hotwire it every time I start it
Yep, she definitely fits right in with this crew and is not afraid to just send it. She's a keeper for the team
Definite +1 for Caitlin. She's got skills.
Matt's shear look of terror made me chuckle! Nice runs!
Tom, the best paint choice for old squarebody General pickups is always going to be The Fall Guy Brown/Champagne and eagle hood! 🙌
Kaitlin is this wonderful mix of quiet and sweet with confident and very capable. She has a steep learning curve and appears to love what you do. Hire her before someone else does.
I love the respect that the team give Caitlin, she is clearly an impressive driver and a great inspiration to young girls
Heck ya Katlin is a definite YES
Tom Tom! Paint it in the two tone scheme like they came from Chevy...brown over tan! As for the mini wrecker? Awesome! Based on how much weight you need to lift could one build a telescopic boom to reduce to length of the boom when traveling to a recovery site? Just a thought and heck yeah! Hire her 'cause her experience with wheeling will be an asset for sure! Thanks for the vid and peace out!
I can't wait for the upgrades of this Samurai.
Lockers and suspension upgrades.
Never ever have I seen Matt with so many scared looks on his face as when Kaitlin is continually sending it! You go girl!
its a zook.. in my experience in a zook you are either full send or stopped, there is no half way. In the words of the great Yoda - "Do or do not there is no try"
Kaitlinn definitely has the sauce for sure! Hire her and give her a raise already! 👍👍👍
Definitely need to hire Kaitlyn. Lizzie who? LOL!!! Love watching the channel and Kaitlyn will add a lot to the value. She drives incredibly and am loving watching her behind the wheel. Very inspirational.
Keep up the good work and looking forward to watching you build out the saMORRi.
All the best,
Pat
I love it, I hauled a motorcycle out the back of mine, from California to Washington. Strapped the front tire to the rear seat mount. Can't wait to see it.
Never seen those expressions on Matt's face before. Awesome driving Katlyn
Definitely hire Caitlin. She's an accomplished rock crawler, She's a fast learner and she scares Matt. What more could you ask for.
Absolutely, bring her on! Also, Dig Doug almost HAS to be 2 tone brown!
Cannot wait to see this build!!
Absolutely hire Kaitlin! She's very capable and already a great addition to the team!
Definitely need to hire Catlin. She is a great character in the crew with a new injection of fun.
Hi Matt and Team
Wow I would like to point out that I have been watching your channel and I very much enjoy it as I am disabled now, but the problem is You tube will not allow me to watch your or other channels whilst of have an add blocker on so I am sorry to say unless you tube change their policy I will be saying goodbye.
I do realize that it is how alot make money, but I also realize that our freedoms are being extinguished especially since i have been watching for so long it may seem like a little thing but when your main entertainment is you tube it is a big thing and I do not feel I should not be forced to pay for no adds. let as see what happens.
regards and best wishes for the future. you are one of the best youtubers out their.
