Dust seals --just a bit more R&D
The quality and design of these trailer campers is impressive. Well done.
Also good. It’s cool how you do the tours and the adventures. Plus occasionally the chill Walmart over nights. So good man!
It’s amazing how this trailer are made ! Awesome 👍
The guys at Overkill Trailers are awesome people. They are truly passionate about making the best trailer on the market!
Cool dude, sweet design and engineering and that Land Cruiser!!! Yeah!!!
Hell yeah! been waiting for a new vid!
Saw this video the other day and had to go check one out today in person being built. Very nice.
Awesome camper, that is wicked bada$$!
Sweet, perfect for my purpose,I will be checking how to get one shipped to Florida.
Keep bringin the awesome videos Phill
Heading to the badlands off road park in Attica Indiana tomorrow for a few days
For the price, that thing is KILLER. The space utilization is perfect. They need dust seals and a positive pressure fan to keep the dust out, but I'm sure they could figure something out for a nominal fee. Compare these guys with the Conqueror4x4usa trailers and you'll see that you're getting a deal here with Overkill. Thanks for the tour and showing us options! Great intro to what seems like a good company
That is badass!
Fantastic small unit
Freaking awesome dude!
I passed you last night going east through northern Idaho! I knew that rig looked familiar!
Nicest trailer on the market right now. Craftsmanship is outstanding.
Really really nice job. I like the use of the 80/20. Would recommend incorporating a positive pressure system and better seals to keep it clean inside. Otherwise WOW great setup thank you.!
Overkill trailer? Is totally awesome n amazing... but with n overkill price tag too.
Unfortunately, not in my price range.
For the price, I'd want something that's sealed a lot better. When he pulls out the backside trays and storage, they're covered in dust! Should be sealed to prevent that sort of thing, and all of your stuff becoming a mess.
I spoke to them about that , the rear hatch was accidentally left open on the trail after a tow vehicle breakdown. In all the haste it was over looked the rear hatch wasn't fastened
@@paulwilson5890 wtf??? Left open???? Its not like its a little door, its huge. Good cover up story though. Doesnt explaing why it wasnt mentioned in the video if that really was the case. He acted like dust on your interior from the trail was a normal thing.
@@htownsfinest87 or it was sitting outside at overland expo for 4 days and got dusty? I would like to hear a response still.
@@htownsfinest87 I agree, he did act like dust in the back was nothing which makes me nervous. I was looking at a company off grid trailers in Canada, the doors all have this unique double twist system which compresses the seals to avoid this dust issue. I love the interior of this better but yeah I’d be pissed if the dust got in like this.
I need one of these In my life! But I need a truck first lol. Love the vids btw!
Doza check out the off grid trailers!
I like those headlights on the Land Cruiser.
I would think keeping dirt and dust out of the cooking prep area would be something important. Where else do they lack this issue? Time to step up your game guys.
Definitely needs some effective seals
Damn it, it's so hard to choose an off road camper trailer to tow behind my gladiator. Every time I make up my mind to buy a particular one, a new one comes along that I think I may like even more. This thing is sweet!
Did you find one? I am in the same boat
That Landcruiser though...
It's so sahweeet!@
Awesome trailer, better start saving lol
I love these guys. Fyi Kimberly campers from Australia had a slide out tear drop trailer at overland expo last year so technically overkill isnt the 1st. But probably the best. Plus Kimberly campers is probably out of business by now??? Or just not shipping to the US?
Keep The Videos Coming!!!!!!! 👍👍💯
Will do! So many amazing people out here, can't wait to share more with you
I want a pickup truck canopy with right and left slide outs single beds for 2 dudes when we go out fishing.
And a way to make a full sleeping platform for me and the wife when we go on vacation.
Gear can be stored on the bed sections then pushed in together or slid under the platform.
A taller head room version pop up tent sides.
A slide kitchen is cool.
But a simple table for setting up by the truck is fine to.
A tail gate tent area for changing clothes and whatever.
Yeah. This is probably the tallest teardrop I've seen, and the first with this kind of slide-out. That slide-out is kind of a game-changer for teardrops, but it almost doesn't classify as a teardrop. It's more of a sawed-off, heavy-duty, American-style, off-road travel trailer. It'll go anywhere a stock pickup truck can take it.
2 pull out slide outs, kitchen & plug cooler ck,&ck, Plus rear hatch opens all storage & table prep, like teat drop only way better.
Maybe first US made with a slide, the Mobi Lodge made in South Africa and also sold in Australia has a slide out bed, inside toilet and shower and positive pressure to keep the dust out
I’m Down2mob! Love your videos and this trailer is super sweet!
Heck ya! Thx so much :) I love this trailer too, a lot!!
I thought they were one of the highlights of OE. My video of their trailer seems to be on fire lol. Probably alot of both love and hate.
mixflip saw this first on your channel and couldn’t help but subscribe! Keep up the great work! Making it a must to to go to the overland expo next year because of your video!
In wall heat pumps over kill in home use but perfect fit w/Arctic windows^6 in campers.
Look at the Australian built small campers like this, dust sealing is more important than any accessories fitted.
We have a very fine talcum powder like outback dust that finds it way into any vehicle.
Reason why most carmakers sent their development vehicles here for extreme testing.
Is there anyway to keep the dust out?
I remember seeing a company out of Australia that had a system the pressurized the cabin when being towed that kept all the dust out…
It’s awesome, really - but that 42k price IMHO means it makes little sense to all but the most hardcore buyer - and perhaps that’s the point. Great product.
Lower right side at 3:48 the dust seal does not follow the contour of the hatch, it does on the left but not the right. I wonder why not use a seal similar to the ammo box can, simple rubber with compression fitting so its water/air tight
2:05 four or five full size humans, thats great
Sweet rig...
☝️ that says it all
Looks like a lot of dust gets in! Not quite there yet, it is all a learning curve ;)
I bet the dust is from having the trailer opened up in Flagstaff for 4 days with big wind storms going through.
I believe the dust gets in the rear from driving down dirt roads. From years of driving trailers off road I know the dust is worst in the rear of a vehicle. It needs quality, double sills to keep that dust out of your kitchen area. Just too much and too thick of layers of dust to be from simply having it opened up in the dusty wind.
Something that small needs only an articulating table. Also only needs a good 100 ah lithium battery 👍
dope shit
Looks like dust can get through on the back slide Outs?
stop n see Jason from Primal outdoors youtube channel.. He lives around the area . very cool dude
guess its not too overkill if it cant keep dust out fo that overkilled price tag. surprised they even wanted to show this off with crap seals
I doubt its the first. Australians have been doing it for years. However its great to see Americans get on board. Not enough offroad trailer options in the good ol US.
Just another reminder that life isn’t always fair. M
5:20, bent door..
This would be perfect if they had designed a pop-up roof(like tetonx hybrid/mission overland), would be more roomy and can stand up inside.
I was thinking the same.... make it where its usable with the top closed or have standing room and loft bed.
Yes! Make it happen!
This slider type no longer available?
I'll take 12.
how much $$ ?
This is way more functional, but like all U.S. builders they are way too proud of their stuff. Oz and south african builders are still miles ahead
Nice! Any other colors besides white?
Yes Dirt.
Beautiful setup but it would bug me to have to walk around the kitchen to get to the fridge. Maybe they should face each other?
You can face the stove either way you choose.
What is the tent on top for?
Umm sleeping??
This pull out model what retail price we looking at? Did you say 42k ? That’s a Ford Raptor and a Kmart tent.........
The only thing that is overkill is the price.
In my view this trailer is not for the average camper. this is ideal for the adventurer. The price of 28,000 US is really an overkill.
Interested
27,000. Hahahahahahah. Good luck.
This design & build is strong. Why can't every trailer hve a cheap manual slide out somewhere or multi small pull/outs.
Yeah my fav feature after pull/slide out & 2 pull trays is the rear storage hatch w/ love it. The tent on top & extras really jacks the price but u can sleep 4+kid.
If u can buy in pieces & upgrade as u go that is outstanding expandable system.
How much does this beauty run for?
John Rodman not much, just $42,000...🙄🤦🏼♂️ Overlanding=overpriced camping stuff for rich people....
Gotta pay to play for sure and this is a quality built machine that I could live in and wheel hard every day.
42,000 that is nuts!
What is MOB?
Make Out with Boys.......(jk)
None of that so sealed properly, hence all the dust and dirt inside the actual components, sink, table, grill, battery storage ... crap
BRAZIL
Cool, but I could buy a stinking decent 5th wheel camper for that 😱
You could, but we would not be going to the same spots!
Apples to oranges. Oranges don't have the maneuverability/ground clearance apples do. Or maybe it's versa vice. Either way, the perfect rig is the one that fits you.
@@MrMinimalst 👏 you said it my man
This is true. Offroad trailers are kind of neat, they just don't appeal to me so much.
They are too expensive for what you get in my opinion but as long as there is a market out there they should be fine
Hahha that price you've got to be kidding me! No thanks illl just build my own
No one cares!
@@hollywood21639 you cared enough to respond 🖕🖕🖕
Roberto, Like Kramer never built his “levels” I think it’s a safe bet you never built your own off road trailer...
Pretty nice design but very expensice. Do they make a midsize pickup camper?
Too bad audio quality is so poor on this vid. Cant really hear what he's saying.
mechanical slide out a child can do so no electric or motors sounds like better option off roading or camp ground manual.
What about Shower?
$28-42k
Wonder what kind of insanely rediculous high price they want for this? The other one of theirs i was not impressed with
tip down suitcase storage box, guy said is simple, I don't get it v/cool.
All that money... And not dust proof?
You guys need to be careful with these statements. They have been doing that in Australia for a very long time.
I understand that they just got back but so people can CLEARLY SEE the TRAILER it would have been BETTER to WASH it OFF! Otherwise it APPEARS to be a nice trailer.
You Americans are just catching up. Had them in Australia for years. Mind you I think you checked ours out and copied them just like the Chinese.
Mmmmm seems like they have a problem with their seals. It's not dust proof.
Which part of the video are you seeing that at? I didnt notice. The inside was spotless from what I saw, but what do I know, I live in a dirty ol expeditio camper Haha!
@@Down2Mob hahaha I saw it at the boxes&table at the back and the storage place in the front if you look next to the slide out railings. Or they where camping somewhere bloody dusty and left everything open.
Hatch was accidentally left open, I spoke with them about it on the phone
@@paulwilson5890 oh cool, thanks so much for that info Paul!
@@paulwilson5890 nice one Paul! Cool stuff then for sure it's a awsome trailer.
Dust everywhere... SERIOUSLY. For that price should come with a maid!!
Nope. I have the smallest off road trailer with slide out. 🤗
NO AC but pass thru can b a spot for 1 but even more doe$. If they mass produced these few 1k or so per yr I hope the price could come down but u get what u pay for, & most 80+% would by lesser trailer, to camp, not b happy w/ not upgradable & not worth much after few yrs.
Don’t like all the suitcases the price is ridiculous
This guy might live in bend, but i bet he wasnt born there
Not likely, but possible.. But who said he was and what does it matter?
Been to your website. Hate its design. Too much bother to check out what might be pretty great stuff. Sorry.
Finally sorted it out. Still don't like the site design, but got the info out. People just get so fancy and web designers so want to strut their stuff for a cool look that they forget the purpose is to pump out knowledge.
@@harrymills2770 not trying to hate but the spelling and grammar goofs on their website gives me pause about the quality they're putting into the overall product
Lmao. Nobody sees my past post. But really! I have the first smallest slide out! Chk out my link. 👍👍👍
Why would you show a filthy trailer. Turned me off and didnt finish watching
