Just noticed that Tzeentch flag banners have a shimmer when barrier is active, and loses that shimmer when barrier is down.
never noticed it. Good eye!
It's shimmering only when the barrier is regenerating
Beastmen worship either the chaos gods (in which case they separate into Pestigors, Khorngors, etc), or chaos undivided (by that I mean chaos as a concept, not the 4 collectively). They don't worship Morghur (not in Warhammer Fantasy anyway), even though he is essentially a deity, being pure chaos in a physical form.
The manner in which they worship is also more sporadic and ritualistic, they don't have an organized religion, it's more that they listen to and perform the rites the Bray-Shamans demand, and no Beastmen would intentionally kill a Bray-Shaman out of fear of retribution from Chaos unless they're either crazy, like Ungrol Four-horn, or "beloved of the gods", as was the case with Gorthor the Beastlord (essentially the Beastmen version of Archaon), that he could do anything they wanted because the chaos gods favoured him above all other things.
Incidentally I do hope they add Gorthor to the game, he would function like the Beastmen version of Volkmar.
They see Morghur as a kind of avatar of Chaos. Although he's not revered on the same level as the actual Chaos Gods, Beastmen do make pilgrimages to bask in his presence, sometimes receiving visions of the future or grand cosmic understandings that usually propel them to the ranks of powerful Beastlords of Bray Shamans. It's far more likely they'll go mad from the revelation, turning them into gibbering vegetables or physically mutating them into Chaos spawn. So although Morghur isn't quite a "god" in the Beastmen's eyes, he has developed a cult following due to his transmortal and eldritch nature.
As much as I would like to see Gorthor, we already have a Beastlord character (Khazrak), which is why I hope for Ghorros Warhoof in the future to spice things up.
I would love to see Moonclaw, he ist a really unique beastmen, acts like a combination of beastlord and shaman with his own mount... n_n
@@EyebrowsGaming Pilgrimages yes, but outright worship? They don't do that to Morghur.
@@Faelivri Khazrak and Gorthor are quite a bit different, their abilities do not really overlap, and comparing them is like comparing Boris Todbringer to Volkmar.
Super lore accurate that tzeentch would bring all the hungry cygor's to the yard.
Can't wait to see this matchup but with tzaangor! Love the brayboys and birdboys.
Oof that double hit box bug is a rough one.
Chariots seem cursed all around in Total War Warhammer. If it's not one thing it's something else.
@@Kasaaz Pretty sure chariots have been a mess in every total war game they've been in.
@@Kasaaz They've been cursed since Rome 1.
Britanian Chariots.
THE BEASTMEN WORSHIP CHAOS GODS
TAUROX WOULD NEVER WORSHIP MORGHUR
Technically they worship chaos, as they see the gods as a form of order.
@@florians9949 TAUROX DO NOT CARE FOR TECHNICALITIES 🐂🐂🐂
@@TauroxTheBrassBull would taurox worship hashut since he's also a bull?
They Cygor's final stone absolutely obliterating a friendly centigor cracked me up
Turin when firestorm rocket destroy 2 heavy knight unit with 1 friendlyfire volley :"I think it will be fineee"
Also Turin when Cygor miss once and take some light skirmisher :"D I S A P O I N T I N G"
YES BEASTMEN!
Hai Taurox big fan thx bie
Damn going all the way back to warhammer 1 with the double cygore. Can you do some videos with old builds in Immortal Empires?
I live in central florida and just got my power back after hurricane Ian knocked it out and this is the first video I watched. Thx for the content, Turin!
Stay safe out there!
Beast men are actually really fun in Domination. What also can work is a strong mobile force with Taurax
What a pleasure to watch!
Double Cygor was a strat used back in WH1. Was pretty good back then too. Add that with a Bray Shaman summoning another one and Morghur being able to summon 4 Chaos spawn instead of 2 and you have a top tier faction.
Don't know about the Bray shaman lord pick in this. If Tzeentch lord can pick off the Bray Shaman so easily then I would have used Morghur instead. Probably would have gotten a lot more value out of him.
Chariot hitboxes are very funny. It's not limited to chariots either. Big things like mammoths had them too, don't know if they still do. If a luminark shot travels cleanly down the length of one it chunks the HP twice.
I used double Cygor since 2016. lol
It really fun to see little Dwarfs rush to me after boulder smash their ass. They can try snipe Cygor with Cannons, I don't care. My 1 Cygor trade with killing 300-400 Dwarfs Infantry is very profitable.
i just hate the way chaos looks lol. I've never once played them in my 2300 hours of WH2
Different tastes! I've never found the Empire interesting and only played them once for the achievement. I *adore* Chaos.
@@ashisunblade same! Though I like the Empire, they look boring to me and I’ve never played them. I like Chaos because of their playstyle and aesthetic. I love heavy metal melee factions
@@Nickelback8469 i generally gravitate twards 1-3 factions in a game like this.... but toal warhammer? i play and like literally everyone, xept brettonia. ik they have great calv, i just have no interest, havent even tried them. empire was surprisingly fun despite being humans in a game full of more interesting races. very versatile, have great artillery, and still have some interesting units like griffons
Hah, i’ve been mulling on this build in DOM for a while when I saw the comeback of arty lol.
I still think the whole "unsummoning" thing in domination is a stupid mechanic. Once you summon in a unit, it should have to remain on the field until it dies. Unsummoning Lords or ranged siege type units once they run out of ammo to re-summon later just leaves a bad taste in my mouth
I think unsummoning is too fast, and ammo loss should be factored into the refund. Otherwise I don't really have an issue with it.
w00t thanks for covering the beastmen
Good stuff T!
So many turin videos with unlucky bugs
CA should either increase cygor accuracy, or make their better in melee, or simply make them a bit cheaper (like -50/100 points) otherwise they really struggle to gain their value. Even in this fight two cygors got 3300 value but their cost was 3100, so pretty close, and it was the Ideal situation for them with High tier infantry on the field
gg, neat to see the tech of chariots vs tzeentch barriers. I assume the impact excess damage contributes nicely to knocking that out.
TURIN GORHERD ASSEMBLE!
Okay, so about what Beastmen worship. Basically nothing, because only weaklings beg Gods for boons.
But the ones that do worship the Chaos gods often are not in a warherd. Sometimes Beastmen just get boons from the Gods, because the Gods feel like doing it.
Morghur is a weird one. He is a Chaos deity (still around in Age of Sigmar, baby!), but he's seen more as a test of strength. Beastmen that join his herd (it's even less structured than an actual warherd, because of Morghur's maddening aura) and come back to their own herds - with or without mutations - are seen as incredibly strong and very cool.
So in short, Beastmen just mostly value strength and think religion is dumb and civilized.
Ahhh this is way better than I expected it could be! Thanks for sharing the intel xD
True nihilists, nothing is sacred.
I think you're describing AoS Beastmen. In WHFB all the Beastmen worship the Chaos Gods but are pretty much like ignored children with the exception of particularly strong ones like Taurox. I personally prefer the AoS Beastmen where they predate the Age of Chaos and generally disapprove of worshipping for boons like you said.
@@MorbidRitual that’s how they work in fantasy too, source: i am a beastman
@@TheRealActualPaincake "The warherds lack the resplendent weapons and baroque armour of the human servants of the Chaos Gods, for the Beastmen already belong to the Ruinous Powers and the gods have no need to bargain such trinkets in exchange for their souls."
"Hence each warherd is led by the strongest amongst them, a Beastman marked by the favour of the Chaos Gods."
These quotes come straight out of their 7th edition WHFB army book. The whole "boons are for weaklings" thing came out of the Beasts of Chaos battletomes for Age of Sigmar.
omg this is my video, i love cygors.
GGWP awesome fight.
love artillary fights; just arti is almost never good to use (armies are properly too small to really make it viable to invest so much in something which can't bring much back in most fights)
and this mode where you got objectives is soo much better ^^ honestly would like to see some with even more units and more time; like a real strategic game where you got time to unsummon and resummon several times (your limited resource should be more summons than actual time; like think warhammer 40k games pvp, just without it feeling so shitty bc Every units is so ridiculessly important the entire game :P too stressful man ;)
Competitive beastmen! Sign me up!
when a lord character get killed by 3 missile spells of the cheapest version o.O
honestly i hate how easy it is to snipe lords in tww series; in table top and in all logic it should be VERY hard.
all it need is to allow lords to attach to a regiment of semilar size and they should be untargetable as individuals forcing targeting of the regiment they in; realistic, good balance, fixes the lame isues etc... its baffling they havent done this and sad.
weird shield doesnt have a cap when regen does ;)
just saying its one or the other :P
where's that juicy modded UI?
Doesn't Tzeentch have access to marauder hunters on horses?
why is there no skaven?
BM win rate in the 30s? challenge accepted 👍
where's that juicy modded UI? Vanilla is haggard by comparison
Hey, you Haggard dark creature of the night. Where's my damned H2H campaigns! I demand tribute, feed me more cringetep juking Okoii's Taurox!
srsly tho more H2Hs would be much appreciated
SOOOON!
GG
Feel like the barrier should stop regenerate if it ever reach zero.
that would essentially defeat the entire point of it and make it pretty much useless
Where is the Great Bray Shaman anyone?
why would you pick spawn over minatours? other than unbreakable minatours are way way better
any AOE content coming soon? I'm addicted to the dreaded FFAs
Wait, the Wargors aren't op again are they by accident?
Where's the BLOOD?
My 2 favorite factions, yay!
beastmen are not conventional. those factions always sruggle more. you ca see this with the mono's aswell. think tzeench is stronger then khorne but becaue khorne is more straihtforward it has beter winrate
BM for life! could turin be a closet BM main? search your feelings, you know it to be true.
Toxic style of play using the army ability... based :D
whoa I'm early
I loathe cygors. Strong at range, and even if you run them down, they fight plenty strong and are pretty hard to finish.
I hate domination, I refuse to play it.
Cool
