Beautiful gymnos, Daz.. extra special as a gift from Edith. Love unboxing vids and gymnos are amongst my favourite cacti, along with astros and lophs.. such gorgeous flowers they make! Thankyou for sharing this wonderful video 👍🌵 EDIT: Love seeing them all potted up at end

Exceptional cactus... Amazing unboxing, stunning end footage - the amazing details in all the cactus! The cardenasianum looked even more amazing at the end and the spines fantastic, love the way they protrude up and out.

I have tried growing some seed of these plants not a lot of success but hope the ones I have got do alright I like these for their spine on of my other favourites

I find mealybugs hard to combat. When i get a new plant with those, it goes in the trash :x way to many plants have gone that way. Best regards!
I used to bin heavily infested plants in the past before I found a pesticide that actually worked. Pests really are the worst thing about having these plants, there’s a lot that like to munch on them! Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
@@Cactimania I did find those grains online, just seems risky to order from Denmark. Think chances for it to arrive are slim :x My paranoia wouldn't allow it..
@@zhaezz84 Yeah if you’re not comfortable ordering it then it’s probably best not to. If customs find it they will confiscate it and you’ve not only lost the product but your money, too. It’s a risk for me ordering it but a risk I’m willing to take as I have it delivered to a P.O. Box anyway 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
@@Cactimania it kills both mealybugs and spider mites? what about root mealybugs? PO box is a great idea :)
@@zhaezz84 Unfortunately it’s ineffective against spider mites. I just use the isopropyl alcohol for those. But pests like mealybug, root mealies, scale, aphids, vine weevil will die after feeding on a plant treated with it 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜

Gymnos are pretty easy the care for. In fact some species are very good beginner cacti. Like a lot of cacti they need a good amount of sunlight, can take a moderate amount of water during the growing season, but as with most other cacti less is best when it comes to watering. In the Philippines its a lot more expensive like £11-£15😔
