You just won a new subscriber. although I am a Camtasia junky, I plan to use Descript to see if I can produce content faster. I plan to use it for shorter videos that do not require advanced editing skills. This channel should be a good way for me to learn Descript. Looking forward to more of your videos. Please let me know what recommendations that you may have for me. Always willing to learn and network.
Thank you! Glad to have you here. Never used Camtasia myself but from what I’ve seen, it looks a bit more capable than Descript for screen recording. But yes, Descript is definitely fast. Especially once you get into using templates you can really crank out content fast!
This was so good thank you!
You're so welcome!
Great polished Presentation- Glad I Found you- I really like using OBS Studio and CapCut but we are not polished speakers, because of your video I am going to try it for the eye-contact benefit- Knowing what may happen to Capcut it may be a better choice. I also really like Ramdy, he's such a great personality for the Brand. And, Good luck to you, I have browsed your videos and can see the hard work you have put in. I'm sure it will start paying off if it hasn't already
Thank you so much! really appreciate the kind words. I just used OBS for the first time for a livestream(on this channel) and was super impressed! Super easy to figure out, very capable, and FREE!
Yeah, I do 80% of editing (in 20% of the time) in Descript then the remainder in Camtasia (I've used it for years and am comfortable with the software).
I've heard a ton about Camtasia but never actually used it! Curious, what does it do better than Descript for the finishing work?
@@DescriptMastery it's faster for me to use the timeline and make finishing edits.
I'm sure that I can do everything in Descript but I'm a very basic Descript user who uses it for quick edits and the AI tools (which save me a ton of time).
Plus, I have existing templates set up in Camtasia already so while my workflow isn't optimal, it works for me.
Descript saves me hours with their fast editing and AI tools though 🙂
That makes sense. Totally understand why you'd stick with it. Also, I've seen screen recordings made with Camtasia and it seems like it can do a lot more than Descript in terms of zooms and making screen recordings more interesting.
I'm planning to make a "Descript versus" series so maybe Camtasia will be my next one!
@@DescriptMastery your videos are great and have helped me.
Yes, I would definitely recommend doing those videos because the keywords will allow your videos to show up in CZcams search when people search for other editing programs!
Appreciate that and great idea!
Doesnt DeScript have a web version?
Yes, it does! It's a bit limited compared to the app version though
I see you using the descript eye tracking software
Good catch! Yes, I use it on almost every video
