As a user and Creator who publishes to LinkedIn regularly I use and would recommend the square or 9:16. I've found both work well.
The standard rectangular layout works but the other two are better suited to social IMHO.

Is there a way to name/rename our highlight colors? Yellow = social clips, green = add to show notes…etc?

Okay so this is driving me crazy! I already have 9 x 16 clips that I use to promote my podcast. I am narrating so I am on screen but when I import the video into Descript it distorts the aspect ratio. There has got to be an easy way to do this since the video is already the aspect ratio I want it to be, help!!

GIF is a hard G not a soft G. Otherwise it wouldn’t be Graphics Interchange Format it would be Jraphics Interchange Format :)

I used to think the same way until years ago I watched the video of the inventor of GIF literally say it’s pronounced like Jiffy peanut butter because that’s actually what he named it after (and added the acronym later). 🤷🏻♀️

hahaha 🤣 I have been getting fussed at for so many years for saying that its gif (jif) vs everyone saying gif (gift). Gif (jif) just makes more sense to me 😂.

Just to be clear this feature DOES NOT WORK. As soon as you paste it randomly cuts out parts of words. Descript's customer support will tell you the solution is to turn off primary features that make the app otherwise useless.
