    One day, perhaps while some of us still draw breath, The Elder Scrolls: VI will finally be released, and we will learn what the canon outcome of the war actually was. ='[.]'=

    • @teleportedbreadfor3days
      @teleportedbreadfor3days Před rokem +4

      It was either an Imperial victory that took more time to achieve or a draw because the Dragonborn had his own quest and never actually canonically took part in the Civil War to turn the tide. Besides, the Empire is already dealing with enough as it is to canonically lose Skyrim to the Stormcloaks, who definitely make more of the province unhappy than the Empire does.
      Personally, I’m more curious about what’s being planned for the Aldmeri Dominion. A Second Great War between them and the Empire sounds inevitable and too big of a conflict to skip over and make apart of Elder Scrolls lore. I don’t care if it happens a couple of hundred years later, I want it to be an in-game focus. Hell, I can’t even unsee it being in the Elder Scrolls VI, the Aldmeri Dominion would probably want to build up their military might for a few centuries over so there won’t be anymore compromises or additional wars with the mortals they find so grotesque.

      @jayl5032 Před rokem +3

      The next game might not be a direct sequel, in terms of what happened in Skyrim. Bethesda and and Friends™might skip a few several hundred years,(like they've done before) and completely gloss over or downplay TES5, thus making the civil war outcome meaningless. Just speculation though, as we all currently have no evidence of any story for TES6.

    • @teleportedbreadfor3days
      @teleportedbreadfor3days Před rokem +1

      @@jayl5032 I just don’t want them to skip over the Second Great War. As I’ve said before, its consequences, stakes and the overall conflict itself sound too big to just skip, and it doesn’t yet feel unfitting for them to wait a few hundred years, the Aldmeri Dominion building up their military in all that time to wipe away the Empire and enslave all mortality in Tamriel. They were willing to go as far as to start another Oblivion Crisis to achieve their goals.

    Hot take: These responses only made me side with the Empire more. This genuinely feels like the bad ending, and Skyrim is in a worse condition than with the Stormcloaks in charge. The only positive to come of it is free and open Talos worship; everything else seems like a mess.

  • @adamallen8787

    I’m sorry but the evidence is overwhelming that the stormcloaks are the good guys. The shouting priest in whiterun gets imprisoned and if balgruuf wasn’t there he’d probably be stolen by the thalmor since balgruuf is also a Talos worshiper. Tulius literally tells Rikka to exaggerate the impending Stormcloak attack to force the legion into whiterun. The battle borns knowingly imprisoned the son of a family they were best friends with and then LIED about it to his grieving mother. The jarl of Morthal is gonna be overthrown by the empire if you take the right steps. The jarl of falkreath is openly corrupt and is paid for by the bandits that prey on his people. And the jarl of Markarth has no choice since he’s being held hostage by the thalmor. You can’t tell me the imperials are perfect. Of course the stormcloaks have their fair share of issues but At least they don’t appoint maven black briar as jarl

      I personally am a imperial supporter, due to how it is hinted in the game that the empire will potentially have a rematch with the dominion, therefor a United empire stands a better chance against the elves. (And Yeah, the stormcloacks are a bit discriminating against other races in Skyrim which I personally have a problem with) however, I do have my fair share of issues with many of the supporters of the empire, who either is corrupt or doesnt even care for their people, like you said.

      @frikitiki5403 Před rokem +24

      @@shadow5o while I prefer the empire's jarls, let's face facts; the empire died with the septims. The Mede dynasty is a parody of their former glory. Without skyrim, all they have is cyrodil and high rock. Black marsh left them after the oblivion crisis. Morrowind, after being left high and dry by the empire during the crisis and red year, hates them and dissolved the house that was most pro empire. Hammerfell left them too and successfully fended off the thalmor independently and skyrim should follow suit rather than cling to a sinking ship.
