Eerie how much I relate to this. Although I've never been proclaimed to be a child of olokun, I learned of this orisha shortly after learning how to scuba dive for the first time. I feel I connected with their energy beneath the ocean, and their name appeared to me once the dive training was done. I relate to the points on voraciousness, the notes on dress and the color black, and DREAMS especially. My dreams have been incredibly long and vivid since I was young. It has been very hard for me to find really good characteristics and explanations on Olokun. I initiated to Osun first and then about 4 years later I was called to initiate to Ifa and Olokun. Olokun has been so intense and this video really was what I needed! You are completely spot on about Olokun and how they show up in us humans. I believe I’m a child of Olokun…Ive never really focused on Olokun but I had a dream it was almost like a cartoon. I could tell I was deep underwater and a being that I just knew to be Olokun was coming down like a long royal aisle and he had guards behind him (no face by the way) it looked like he had some form of adornment on his head and around his face. He turned to me and touched my hand and nodded his head and kept going. And just about all these traits describe me I was slightly shocked.The decorating of the house, the dreams, and all that really shocked me because I go through all of this. I dream nightly and very vividly and spirits seem to tell me things while I’m dreaming or I’ll get messages about people or see events. I also dream sooo much about deep dark water and I never knew why.
