I love when actors get huge from one role and spend the rest of their career chilling out and just doing fun cameos and passion projects. I get that vibe from Mark Hamill and I’m very happy for him
It's the best-case scenario for most actors. Everyone knows who you are, plenty of money, but not so ridiculously in-demand that you gotta take *every* role, instead just doing what you want to do when you want to do it. You get all the fun with none of the grind. And frankly, I'm not sure there's any actors more deserving of it than Mark Hamill. Dude is legitimately a wonderful person, who regularly goes out of his way to please his fans. I can't begin to imagine how incredibly annoying it must be, to be asked to recite Star Wars lines or Joker quotes *all* the time...but he'll do it, and not just do it, he'll give it his all.
Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement must be really liked.
...Do you think Mark Hamill has just been chilling since Star Wars?
Definition of Daniel Radcliff
@@BLUEKOMMEH No, but if he wanted to live modestly he easily could.
My regular bartender hates how often I order "one human alcohol beer please."
Not to torture my own regular bartender… but I’ll probably start using that quote, too
Actually had me howling out loud laughing! I'm definitely going to be ordering "one human alcohol beer please" from my local pub from now on 🤣🍺
maybe shake it up a little, like ordering one human alcohol martini
If he hates it, maybe he's not a regular human bartender.... check for reflections in the mirrors ;)
Yup...that's how I order beer 🍺 now 😆
I love that Laszlo looks genuinely surprised that Jim's cup was empty.
You must mean Jackie Daytona. Laszlo isn't in this scene.
He must have seen him without the toothpick
@@karuwal Laszlo? Not sure who that is. Sounds like he might be a wacko. A real sunovabitch though.
I often popover to the local bar for a human alcohol beer myself. (Tosses pint over shoulder.)
I love those subtle little touches.
Mark Hamill makes everything better, even something as perfect as this show
I agree, but my favorite part of this scene is when he throws the dishes in the dumpster rather then clean them.
I love how Laslo looks at the camera reminding the audience that Jim the Vampire is totally not noticing that there are cameramen following around this 'human' bartender just like the ones following Laslo.
"How did you know my name?"
"It's printed on your card quite clearly."
"Oh, right."
God, that part kills me every time.🤣
The sinister music and then the immediate relief following that makes me laugh so hard!
When I first saw this, I thought oh Jackie, you messed up 😂
I love how he still took the time to paint his fingernails black.
He tosses the dishes because familiars does all that, really good details
Jim should have suspect something when he notice the documentary crew in the bar.
Well thank god this ain't NCIS
*Bar footage was pulled from security cameras.*
He thought it was for the volleyball team. Like Basketball Diaries. But with Volleyball. And Jackie Daytona.
he didn't see Lazlo standing right in front of him
We’re talking about the guy who wouldn’t recognize you if you had a toothpick
You can tell Mark's having the time of his life.
I can tell
Has anyone noticed no one ever pays for drinks in television land?
Most of the time. There are instances of them being paid.
i rarely pay for my drinks while sitting at a local, its called having a bar tab.
Or work.
@@inquisitiveone3579 Or say goodbye before hanging up the telephone.
@@MrStephenRGilman Yes, that really bothers me.
I love the way Matt pronounces "sonofabitch" the same way Stephen Merchant's chef does in Darkplace. Flipping chicken!
I'm genuinely sad for the people who haven't discovered the genius that is "What We Do In The Shadows"...
People are missing out on this. Doom Patrol also.
I don't wanna offend you in any way but is it good? I saw the movie and I loved it. I had a good time and good laughs too but I saw the trailer and a few clips from this show and It looks cheap, in the bad way, would you recommend it? And BTW "Doom Patrol" season 1 is one of the best superhero shows ever made.
@@JairBPena Oh yeah the show is an absolute blast. The cast is perfect together. The tone and humor is exactly the same and they did a great job with exploring new avenues of the concept. They play with every single aspect of the horror genre.
i agree. but its not on netflix so a lot of people cant relate to people like us ahaha
HULU has better comedies. I actually paid for the DC App until Swamp thing fell through. Even then, Harley Quinn is a really good show but I can't just keep subscribing for one thing at a time. I already have comixology.
I love that Lazlo doesn't even pour a full pint haha the little details in this show are amazing
Suspiciously atrocious pour at that.
That's not Lazlo, it's Jackie Daytona.
@@JoeBlac Zero foam, just how Jackie Daytona likes it
I don't see Lazlo here, am I missing something?
One human alcoholic beer please! 🍺
Delicious!!
You got it friendo👍
One human Alcoholic bear coming up. mind if I join you in a pint
"Great pint!" 🤣🍺
He tosses the busing tray and dishes into the dumpster! LOL
Jesus this show is so good.
My favorite episode so far.
Absolutely !! I've re-watched all of Season 1 and the last 5 episodes about 7 or 8 times. Just a great show !! Cheers !. 🎸
@@rufusgoldstein2655 Jackie Daytona is pure legend.
@@slowemm The hero we need.
Especially since season 2 was better than season 1 (which was also good).
Jackie Daytona is the heart of that volleyball team!
One of my favourite episodes. This and the baron’s night out episode were too damn funny.
The best part is that his whole vampire beef started because laslo won't pay the rent he owes
Matt Berry has such a wide range of characters.
I never get bored with his accent. It's mesmerizing
Vampire, sword, moomin
YEEEEEES
A wide range of characters who all have the attitudes and mannerisms of Matt Berry, lol. I like him too but try not to make it so obvious that you don't even know what it means to have range and you're just repeating a compliment you once heard someone give to a different actor.
How? Did you know my name?
It's printed on your card very clearly.
😂
Matt Berry’s posh cadence is so funny
After binging this show recently, this episode has to be my favorite. I didn't notice it was Mark Hamil the first time, until the credits. Great show.
Mark hamil the vampire lol
"Yes I Can Hear You Clem Fandango!"
So I hadn't seen that bit before, I googled it and I was not disappointed! Matt Berry is amazing
Don't worry son. I've worked with many actors whose asses caved in at the last minute.
What? The work experience boooooy?
Mark Hamill sounds like the joker being a vampire
That's funny.
I thought he sounded like Fire Lord Ozai....
Weird.
Andy Wilson True he does
When Luke joins the dark side
You wanna hear something funny? There is a Batman movie called Batman Vs Dracula where the Joker actually becomes a vampire
@@sirgrantelton1081 lol 😂 That’s interesting
Just from a simple toothpick in his mouth and he can't even recognize Laszlo....haha, are all these vampires really that stupid? Hahahaha...man, I love it!!!
It's the whole ensemble, & the toothpick completes the disguise. 😃😃
Best disguise since Clark Kents glasses...
@@dringo-qh1ox actually I heard somewhere that the glasses have a hypnotism effect that makes people think he's just a regular guy and not Superman
Victor M no it’s more the idea that if you were an immortal super being why would you ever go around as some normal guy
@@victorm152 Not exactly, they just kinda dull his eyes to look more grey. That along with his whole demeanor as Clark being kinda clumsy amd not very confident is more than enough to trick basically anyone since well nobody expects Superman to be a regular guy as well. Superman is exactly that above any man bright blue eyes, proud, confident why should he have to act human?
mark hamill is obviously a VA treasure, but it's a little disappointing how underutilized he was in live-action for years. very underrated actor and despite his obvious love for his star wars role, you can see how hard he worked to expand his repetoire to avoid being typecast.
Came here from a cast interview they did had no idea that was mark hammel . Now I know it’s him I can’t unsee it
Matt berry's style of humor is still just as funny as it was in IT crowd 🤣
there are multiple times in the episode, I can picture Joker doing a european vampire impression.
Two legends in the same bar.
Closest we'll ever have to William Shatner & Brian Blessed in the same scene.
If they ever do a reboot of the Lord of the Rings, Mark Hamill should play Radagast.
mark hamil should play every role! xD
what for? Radegast in the book is not same as that annoying character in the hobbit movies...
@@richardides2035 You have read different books than I did. Peter Jackson interpreted Radagast's detachment from reality differently than he was in the books. But, that does not mean it was in error, Radagaast in the movies did portray one aspect that was not directly voiced in the books, his cooperation with Gandalf. In the book he was all about animals and nature and yet he has the wool pulled over his eyes by Saruman. Radagast was not a weak Istari, none of them were, but the movie they were downplayed because Peter Jackson did not want to go full wizard on anyone. A re-make might see that differently and Mark Hamill would be an excellent choice to fill that role.
@@cadengrace5466 sled pulled by rabbits was really stupid ...
@@richardides2035 Probably, but it could have been done however unlikely. Radagast was used as comic relief by Jackson and he was not funny at in the books, rather he was detached from the importance of anything not of nature.
I had no idea it was Mark Hamill under all that until I saw the credits. He just became that character.
I like that Mark Hamill get's the joker voiced done especially outside his joker role....
I love his voice work. He also does a wicked Skesis voice in the new Dark Crystal series.
I got so happy when I saw Mark Hamill in the thumbnail....😂👍
For those wondering, Hamill voiced Dracula in the What a Cartoon Shorts Mina and the Count. Most of the ancillary cast members played vamps.
I love the brief look of surprise on Lazlo’s face after Jim “drinks” the beer.
Wait, is that Mark Hamil?
yes
No, it’s Jim the Vampire. It’s printed on his card very clearly.
@@michaeldeboer9940 Suspected as much. Can conjure too many voices.
*Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 (PC) looks amazing!* :D
Mark Hamill is such a treasure.
0:19 wait What?! That’s mark Hamill as a vampire. Count Markula.
Anyone notice the lack of foam in those beers? I like that little touch since Lazlo can’t drink beer, he has no idea it’s flat
Not only that but as laszlo is an old english vampire its more common for ales back then to be flat so it would be more akin ti what he knew when he was human
It looks like an ale.
Only an amateur pours beer so that foam forms...it's supposed to be flat.
I’m so glad I finally checked out the show. I didn’t think it would be as entertaining as the film. I was so wrong 😂
Actually I think it’s better than the film!
Same!!!!
I was laughing really hard when watching this, Please bring back the old vampire to another episode!!
I love the way the camera zooms in on his card
Jim didn't pay for his damn drink
Vampires not paying for things is how the whole mess got started!
MARK HAMILL!
Mark Hamill is amazing.
Would love to see the outtakes from this episode, easily top 3 on my list. XD
Lazlos being scant with the beer poursss, didn't even fill the schooner
Next time I go to a Bar I’m going to order a Beer just like Jim the Vampire. “One Human alcoholic beer please.”
This is the best episode
1.42 that suspense spine chilling sounds converts to humour 😆
This is the best show!!!!
This is the funniest few minutes of my life
Very clip I watch I love. I can’t wait to have all of these on a streaming service or dvd
Jim the Vampire lol
I didn't even know this was Mark when I watched the episode
I didn't know that was Mark Hamill when I first watched!! Can't believe they got him for this show. I love it tho.
Frickin’ knew that was Mark Hamill. Dude’s just too recognizable at this point!
The voice clinched it for me before the visual!
LOVIN' IT!! The Superman disguise!!
Whoever decided to cast Mark Hamill as a vampire that can turn into a BAT is a genius
This is the EXACT tension that happens when you're working behind the bar and another bartender comes in late night when you're trying to close. 🤣🤣🤣
Hahahahaa, I never thought of that but it's a perfect metaphor
My favorite episode 🤣
I was watching this while drinking one regular human alcohol beer
That last bit of theme at the end reminded me of Toast of London. Maybe they share the sound designer.
For dat guy 🤣😂😂
I'll keep my Peeper's Peeled for that guy...
Trickster Gone Vampetite.
What a waste of beer!
LOL
How TF did I not realize Mark Hamill was in WWDITS??!
I like how he throws the dirty dishes in the garbage.
Anybody know the name of the song Billy Bass plays in this episode? It goes something like 'Still busting moves, still breaking scales'
0:28 Dr Sanchez from Garth Marenghis Darkplace lol
I love that Lazlo skipped out on the rent like 100 years ago and probably just won't pay like 20 bucks.
How did you know my name. That cracked me up.
I love mark he will always be my luke skywalker but he still has my heart 💖💖💖💖💖💖 I LOVE THIS SHOW
I love how they toss the drinks out and no one in this tiny town care.
He just threw away the dirty dishes lol
I am so stupid for not realizing that was Mark Hamill till now
I knew it Jim Halpert really turned by that bat bite's
LOL Awesome. Mark Hamill X The IT Crowd? Yes, please. :)
God this episode 😂
Fuking lovely writing, holy heck
God bless Mark Hamill
hahaha this episode made me love the show even more
Why is nadja's theme playing?
Ordering one human alcohol beer the next time I hit the bar.
omg im Geeking out so hard
"GREAT PINT"
oh damn I didn't know that was Mark Hamill!!??
I really love how incredibly dumb these vampires can be sometimes... most times
But wait! I didn't see anyone invite Jim the vampire in the door.
Maybe there’s a welcome mat!
@@ttintagel Or...or...a welcome MATT!! haha
@@coverversionoftheday9941 HA!!
The joker with a Transylvanian accent
We're gonna have to change that name to "Matt Beary"
Look everyone it’s Count Jokula!!
Darth Jokula
at first it makes you think Jim knows his Lazlo, then the mirror scene.
Me:what? Oh they got me!
Hamill sounds EXACTLY like a Khajiit.
"Hamill has wares if you have coin"
😂😂 "May your path lead you to warm sands."
Oh man imagine if they ever do an Elder Scrolls movie and he plays whatever the main Kjajiit character is... perfection.
This whole conversation look very similar to any tavern discussion in a larp.
How did I not realize this was Mark Hamill💀💀💀💀
