- Having never driven a recent Jaguar or any form of electric vehicle, I get to grips with £71,000’s worth of Jaguar i-Pace 400 HSE Black, kindly supplied by my friend Steve who also co-hosts this video.

Excellent presenting Boaty, especially the introduction segment. Has the BBC been in contact yet? 😍
Conspicuous by their absence I’d say! 😉
@@Mr_Boaty Probably because of the whole Tv licence debacle!!!
The best bit was when boaty shit himself at the end 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👏👏👏
I thought you might say that! 😉🤣
Really enjoyed the video Boaty great job 👌🏻👍🏻😎
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it…😊🙏
Cracking video Boaty . I’ll be sticking with my old Honda for a while yet !
Thank you! Really appreciate it…😊🙏
Excellent work, mate 😊
Praise is never more welcome than when it comes from the master! Thank you…😊🙏

I bought one a while back. It is indeed a superb car. Glad you liked it.
It was a revelation. I’m happy to have finally had the opportunity to form my own view of EV’s…
Great video Boat
Thank you so much! 😊🙏
Great video!! Were you expecting to enjoy that as much as you clearly did?
Thank you! And no, I wasn’t quite honestly. I’m not sure what my expectations were, though I didn’t expect to NOT enjoy a £70k Jag! But I had no clue that driving a powerful electric car would give that level of involvement and enjoyment. I thought I’d probably like it, but it turned out I love it.
Best video yet 👏 👍
Aw thank you! 😊🙏
And I think you might be right…
Blimey I can't remember watching one of your 30+ min videos. This one was outstanding. Hearing your excitement and surprise at the cars performance.
Aw, that’s brilliant to hear! Thank you so much…😊🙏
Excellent video & interesting you like it
Thank you! And I more than liked it…😉😍
Red is the new black ?
Very possibly!
Shame is that JLR has ignored since its introduction except for destroying its ability to supercharge. MY20 owner
Indeed…
Excellent video, Boaty. Whilst Steve's wonderful car is electric, you have encountered here modern car electronics. They are all like this, regardless of mode of propulsion.
Whilst the tech is fantastic, I fear for anyone driving a modern car outside of warranty.
Of course, thinking of it no doubt they are. Are they unreliable though, the electronics? I mean my elderly iPhone 6 is about four decades out of warranty, but still functioning 100%…
Oh, and thank you! 😊🙏
@Mr_Boaty apparently the majority of AA//RAC calls on modern cars are for failed electrics, and the outcome is a tow to the main dealer!
Over in the USA at the moment I'm driving a 3.5 v6 petrol Toyota Highlander SUV. It has analogue dials, loads of buttons on no touchscreens. It's nice. It does have a bloody CVT box, though 😳😳
Overpriced ev, being left behind by cars half its price.
They must be quick to leave that thing behind! 😉
Not any more. Amazingly affordable for a 2-3 year old model and they are just -so- good to drive. The only real comparison is the charging which sadly does lack way behind competitors. It'll be a big deal for some, but no problem at all for others. The latter are lucky to be able to drive this and enjoy it!
@@Mr_Boaty It has only been left behind in charging tech, not in driveability. It's still class leading. Yes I'm biased but I'm not alone. A real shame JLR have abandoned the i-Pace entirely.
I'm picking up a used one later this week, slightly lower spec, 3 years old, £25k. For the same money I could have had a 3 year old Skoda Enyaq which is nice but no comparison. Glad I didn't get one new, the depreciation is ludicrous.
