Normal Supplements get you like 350-500mg EPA. I’ve been taking 1 gram EPA for 4 weeks. I feel great, more energy through the day, my dry skin is clearing up too.
Fish oil has been shown to induce mania in people predisposed to bipolar disorder. It can also aggravate certain ADHD symptoms (hyperactivity and impulsiveness) while reducing others (lack of attention)
I take 7.2 g of ALA in flaxseed oil everyday (in liquid form). A single softgel contains 1.2 grams of ALA, so you'd have to take 6 in order to get what 1 tablespoon in liquid form contains.
Cod liver oil is the way to go 💯 Fish eater all my life, also supplemented with fish oil. But until I made the switch, I feel much more happier, relaxed and focused. It’s amazing 🙌🏽 MCTs as well
I take 2900mg EPA and 2100mg DHA. I feel extremely mentally sharp. Edit: Upped my dose to 4g of EPA and 3g of DHA. Effects are even stronger, I consider switching to 4g EPA in the form of Vascepa (aka prescription, clinical-grade EPA) and an equal amount of pure DHA.
@@Eserr7856 Yup. Still taking 4g EPA, 3g DHA. I take it the DHA for it’s profound effects on memory and mood, and the EPA for the profound effects on triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol Btw., I upped my dose slowly over months.
@@Zhdhcjen I just started to suppliment fish oil and the effects are profound indeed. I bought the refined one, with 2g of DHA to 350mg of EPA ratio per dose. Under what pretense have you gotten the prescription for the pure stuff? What did you tell or ask your doc? If I could get my hands on the stuff with healthcare, I'd even lie, not gonna lie.
@@laurabrewer3702 I’m in Germany, so you probably won’t know the brand. It’s called ESN Super Omega-3. 40€ Euro for 360 capsules with 400mg EPA and 300mg DHA per capsule. It’s the best ratio I could find anywhere all over the world tbh.
Get some Carlsons Fish oil. Great epa and dha to calorie ratio meaning you're not getting extra carbs and shitty fats mixed in. Also has the 'international fish oil standards" certification. Quality stuff
It's best to go with a supplement that has 2x the EPA as DHA. Spring Valley has an affordable version that is 645mg EPA and 310mg DHA per capsule. So take 2-4 capsules a day.
No it depends on the person, obviously someone with no inflammatory issues is not going to need “2x the EPA as DHA”. It just depends what benefits you really need.
@@mooncake6157 If you want to save money, take 2 a day. Although you can take quite a bit more, unless you have cheap rancid Ethyl Ester based fish oil. Plus with the fish oil you got means you’d be favouring the cognitive benefits over inflammatory which imo is the better option.
nope, plants don't contain any EPA nor DHA. Rather, plants and nuts will contain ALA omega 3s. ALA can convert to EPA, but it's at most at a rate of 10% which is not efficient at all. .. I think I will start taking fish oil supplements despite the fact that I'm vegetarian. Health comes first ✌
@@johndeer8489 I feel great my whole body feels happy and so does my attitude, I'm not grumpy or slugging, I'm 31 and my muscles from a hard work out have fantastic recovery time because of the fish oil. It helps lube things inside your body too.
