  • We are celebrating a new haggadah created with young learners in mind. More on that later this week, but in the meantime, here’s a question for you and your children: Can a cat swallow a whole goat? In the world of make-believe, in the cumulative Pesach song Chad Gadyo, it can - but the song keeps adding characters from the goat, to a butcher, to the angel of death and the Kadosh Barukh Hu. Whether or not this song refers, as some contend, to the historic nations that have conquered the land of Israel, the poor goat is still in a bind.
Sing along with this jolly song from our new Pesach album, in ‘country’ Aramaic and Hebrew. Wishing you a sweet Passover!
Music trad. as sung by Cantor Moishe Oysher, arranged by Oran Eldor
    Music Director: David Enlow
    Audio Producer: David Bowles
    Video Editor: Evan Schapiro
AV: Oscar Acevedo, Erik Van Batavia, Justin Goodman

A friend and I played this for her five year old grandson, a budding musician, who was mesmerized by it. How did he do that? he asked in awe. We both said, practice.

Thanks so much to Park Avenue Synagogue, Azi Schwartz, and all the wonderful musicians who made this possible The arrangement couldn't be better. I especially loved the tuba and piccolo parts. How generous that you would share this with the world! I'm always amazed at Azi Schwartz voice, vibrato, and musicality!

    This is so good.
You won't believe how I found this song lol.
I was listening to Mohammad Ramadan's song "Bye Bye Thanaweya" and it reminded me of Chad Gadya so I searched to see what youtube versions of Chad Gadya were available.
