Cantor Azi Schwartz is the Senior Cantor of Park Avenue Synagogue in New York, as well as a world-renowned vocal performer and recording artist whose music reaches Jewish and interfaith audiences internationally. Azi’s ministry has cultivated a growing online following with over 25 million views. His craft of Jewish liturgical music has been described as emotionally moving, spiritually uplifting, and artistically dynamic.
Passionate about bringing Jewish liturgy to the broader world, Azi performs in concerts internationally and has released over 18 albums containing traditional and new Jewish liturgical music. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden and the UN. He was featured in a PBS special and plays the cantor’s role in Richard Gere's movie Norman. Recently, Azi helped to produce Shabbat on Broadway at the St. James Theatre, the first Jewish worship service on Broadway.
Azi is married to Dr. Noa Schwartz, and they have four children.

The first three words, giving thanks, I roll in my shoulders in a position of humility. Giving thanks is preceded by humility. You can't be thankful when you think you are the power. Saying thanks is a submission. Melech Chai V'Kayam - I raise my hands to the sky to acknowledge the vastness of Hashem. For returning my soul. I open my hands to the sky to absorb all that the universe is sending me. The soul is the lifeforce for all the capabilities that we have: our body, out intellect, our feelings. The ability to appreciate our blessings. Rabba Emunasecha. I open my arms to spread all the good coming from heaven to spread the goodness to my surroundings.
