India is so beautiful and diverse. East to west north to south its blessed with nature and beautiful culture. Why to waste money on foreign trips when you have such beautiful places in your own country.

I went to meghalaya in 1976 with my father who was inArmy as captain, we went to Baghmara&tura & Verma border. At Verma border, there was tribal haat, no money was exchanged, barter system, we had Jackfruit, Exchanged with pineapples, memorable experience. Ur video refresh my memory.

For the benefit of your viewers, I would like to mention a fact or two about the Mawphlang Sacred Grove. This grove was started as a ritual site by our ancestors and prayers and sacrifices were conducted then. Famines, plagues, illnesses whenever occurred in villages around Mawphlang, elders would go to this Grove to pray and find the reason for such incidents. Offerings and gratitude in the form of festivals was also held in the neighboring field for good harvest and prosperity. Thence, Christianity had not arrived in the khasi hills. However, these festivals are also held nowadays(Monolith festival). It is also said that to be near to the divine, preservation of nature is withheld by not taking anything from the site. It's one way our ancestors took key on how to sustain the environment. Such groves are found in many parts of the Khasi and Jaintia hills.
The episode was phenomenal. Concise, informative and correct. Thanks. Love, a Shillongnite.

Wonderful video,I am an Assamese.I was a student of St Anthony's during '80s . I became nostalgic with your breakfast as those were my favourite recipes for breakfast in this particular restaurant...In police bazar there was a hotel known as " Dellhi Hotel" which was famous in those days for Tandoori Roti- Butter Tarka- Mutton gravy.. Right now I am not sure if it exists or not.Thank you so much.

Sir... Your personality and way of presentation is unique... I have seen many youtubers doing great videos on places they travel, but you tend to stick to the basics that we as an audience lure for when we see it... Your inquisitiveness about certain typical things is somewhat related to a huge populations common interest that helps us relate to your videos very easily... Great presentation and showmanship Sir and kudos to your channels success... I wish you cross 1M soon and get the gold button which you truly deserve...

Teer(shooting with bow and arrow) which is local gamabling in our state is legal. For re 1 you can earn rs 80. Actually in olden days the male were often engaged in war. So the female had to take care of the family and that is the reason children here take mother's surname. Boy here are expected to be independent.

I enjoyed Meghalaya tour through this CZcams it's really wonderful and ur presentation is excellent in picturing, demonstrations and every movement is memorable. Thanks lot. I have been there only in Shillong 47 years back in 1977 stayed there 3 days in the verge of my student life. So I again like to visit these places within a short while.
