i remember..... on day zero i was passing through Dispur
i spoke about my cab driver he mentioned that this place has all the major government offices, its a locality that's part of Guwahati....any ways - fair input.. thought to pin this comment so others can see this too.....

But you will surely be surprised and mesmerized by the hidden beauty of this lovely land. Which you would never found in West Bengal. Don't miss the upper Assam and it's non veg cuisine. You will feel much better in case of food and will be shocked to see it's heavenly mountains and tea estates.
    Best of luck!

Best wishes from Houston, TX. I rarely comment on youtube videos but this time I had to. For making me remember my motherland. It was emotional. Tbh this is the first attemp in Indian TV to highlight the beauty of Assamese food and culture in so much depth. An incredible effort! I learned so many things about Assam which I didnt know even after being an Assamese. Also, this series highlights the fact that how beautiful assamese food is, with so little use of species so much incredible cooking. Assamese food has the potential to be introduced as a world class food because of the simplicity, variety, uniqueness and extremely natural nature of the food ! Americans who dont like Indian food becuse of heavy use of species will love assamese food !

There is so much of India that's yet to be discovered by us. So much variety in culture, cuisine, landscape, clothes etc. It is thanks to vlogger like you who go to these places and allow us to travel virtually with you. Keep traveling and discovering more remote places of the country. One thing which I found rather disappointing is to see VIP queues in places where all human beings should be treated equally. What an irony that if you are able to pay extra, you can get ahead in the queue to go inside this place of worship.

I watch your show from Auckland New Zealand and i simply love it. I fancy your discourse, very easy to understand and follow. One of the best i have seen in ages.
I believe you get both Pumpkin and Eggplant fritter coated in cornflour in Kolkata too. And it is quite popular as well.
I have seen your entire Kolkata series and it was amazing. You've covered the best and took your time to explore in details.

@@visa2explore ... "dahi-chiwda (poha)", is part of traditional food across eastern INDIA and a very popular one. as for "peetha or peethi" is concerned, this too is a customary festive food popular in eastern and southern parts of BIHAR, as also in Assam. "peetha or peethi" is made from rice flour batter, just like the South Indian "idli", with a sweet stuffing inside, usually, dry roasted "teesi seeds" (तीस्सी के भुने हुए बीजों को गुड़ की गाढ़ी चाश्नी में पका कर) boiled in thick jaggery caramel, in Bihar's Bhagalpur (ancient Anga and Tirhut) region. the word "peethi / peetha" itself means, "a stuffing or a filling inside something" and the traditional way to eat it is by soaking it in a bowl full of milk, like milk & porridge. ...
