I use Santander as my current account and also have NS&I direct saver which pays 0.5% and I have only about £200 in that. Basically my premium bond winnings get paid into it. I have £50’000 in premium bonds which I use as my emergency fund. Current prize has just been increased to 1.4%

Good overview for those new to fintech. Couple of minor comments: - Monzo don’t charge for the roundup ‘save the change’ type feature. It’s the advanced roundups that come with the paid accounts. - Starling also offers tablet apps and online banking which is a big deal to some people and is worth a mention.

Not yet, Chase and Revolut are two banks I hear about but haven't tried... yet. If you are with them, would you recommend them?
