These videos still rock they're still helping people even though they're new to the hobby I had the same problem with my new flying wing you guys help me out you guys rock
Guys I'm old school, used to use a sliding aileron servo attached to the elevator servo, I was well confused here. You didn't mention one servo goes in the elev and one in the aileron on the Rx but I soon worked that out. Thanks for a great tutorial, got me all sorted with these new fanged electronics on transmitters, so much easier ( cheating even). Thanks again! Vass.
I've been having the same problem with my flying wing you guys corrected it once I switched the servos and reversed the servos you guys rock thanks a lot past two days I've been going crazy with this everything is working well
Thanks for the video. I frequent your channel for the awesome videos and I needed to find out how to mix with my HK6S. I had a feeling that it had to do with the Mix switch but I didn't want to break anything so I double checked. Great video as always.
Just a tip, when cycling through the Spektrum DX series with the roller only use the top of the roller to select the feature and when you're done there is no need to go back through the menu tree to "Main" just hold the roller down for more than three seconds and it will save settings and return to flight mode (beeps three times...). Hope this helps some out there.
Thankyou for this !! Recently i just finished up the Mickey RC version 3 plane.. and ordering the DX6i..I know mixing is not that hard but looking at this video should be perfect =) thankyou.
The DX8 has two elevon wing types so you don't have to swap servo leads from the receiver. You also don't need to hold back and clear button to gain access to the system menu. Holding down the roller menu button does the trick while powering on.
does this apply to the mini arrow too? Because i have a spectrum Dx6e transmitter and the settings are so different compared to the transmitters you guys show... could you guys help me out? im just a begginner
Now I have a turnagy evolution and there is no mix option on it i was wondering if there was a way to manually mix the elevons. My transmitter is a turnagy evolution and the recover is a fly sky fs ia6b
hey guys im having trouble mixing the blunt nose versa with the hobbyking 401b gyro and the 2 servos are connected with y cable i have a turnigy 9xr pro and the receiver is a frsky d8r plus 2 any mixing help would be great
OMG THANK U i git the stryker and followed the directions on setting it up but accidentally had the ailerons reversed and couldent get them to be correct i have the dx6i and all i had to do was reverse the wireing !!!! Thank you!!!!!
how is that possible... if u have an Y (donno if call it in the same way, the 1 in 2 out cable) going to the ailerons and one in the elev? do I have to put one ailer in the elevetor?
Nice point mate, the issue cost many their planes. In Australia the seller has to repair or replace for such defects. Somehow I doubt the Joshs' read these forums much...
I just got a Freewing 64mm f16 and I use elevaon end it has banking, but it doesn’t have elevator only left wing uses elevators, riggt juts stays still, alierons are hooked to elevators aswel.
They have it correct actually. The left aileron deflects downward, essentially increasing camber and therefore increasing lift on the left wing. This action causes the left wing to increase lift and force the plane to roll to the right.
+Miguel Boisvert switch the channel you plugged your elevator and your ailerons in the reciever around. It should fix the problem. Français par hasard?
oh, you are right! I was confused with the elevator. Thought it goes up when aileron goes up. Well, planes aren't my thing. I'm still flying an old lmh corona helicopter ;)
Iv got a problem with my stryker. Pulling a tight loop, it rolls out of it half way in the loop. At the ground i cant see any difference between the left and right elevon. So not shure why its happening. Any ideas?
Im surprises horizon being your sponsor didn't hook u guys up with one of there newer models that finally have back plates on the elavons. With all this talk about elavons I thought u guys should have mentioned how great the new models are now that you don't have to worry about the control horns coming of and destroying your stryker.
you guys should have really added something in about onboard mixers for the people who dont have programmable radios, $5 alternative and works just as good
ive spent well over $150 on my first airplane and im trying to find out how to do elevon mixing with my hkt6a. im to the point i wanna throw it out the window! please get back with me
I cut my finger to the bone and got 5 stitches a few weeks ago because I forgot to reverse my throttle when I bound my dx5 to my visionaire... The propeller blade is still stuck in the sheetrock on the other side of the room... So yeah, taking the prop off is a good tip.
No problem....I got mine used off of the RCGroups(dot)com classifieds section but I got a good deal...you can get them new from horizonrc(dot)com or spektrumrc(dot)com sorry, youtube doesn't permit links so i had to do the (dot)
DX5e costs $60 without receiver, $100 with. I bought my DX6i under $100 used, dx6i only, nothing else. DX5e is just regular channels, trim, dual rates, reversing, and elevon mixing. In my opinion, the DX6i is much better, even for the price.
These videos still rock they're still helping people even though they're new to the hobby I had the same problem with my new flying wing you guys help me out you guys rock
These old videos are so iconic and still helpful. Much love to all the old crew ❤️💯🫡

LOL, Doug and Bob McKenzie all over again!!
Thanks guys love your stuff. Very helpful
You guys are great! been watching your vids for several weeks now. Love the website too!
well this answered my question about programming my DX5E for my just ordered FT MINI ARROW .. thank you FLITE test for the best videos and help ! !
Thanks for the video. I frequent your channel for the awesome videos and I needed to find out how to mix with my HK6S. I had a feeling that it had to do with the Mix switch but I didn't want to break anything so I double checked. Great video as always.
Thanks for the great video, love the channel !!
Awesome! Thanks so much this video helped a ton!
Oh the nostalgia of Josh and Josh.
Exactly what I needed
that vid helped me out a lot!
I like Flite Test! Informative and funny too.
you guys are great!!

You guys got the answers to everything. If only they were easier to find.
Hey Bix
Be proud of MANSHANS
Without them we would not be where we are today
keep up the good work all of you.
awesome more more more. i love you guys
Thankyou for this !!
Recently i just finished up the Mickey RC version 3 plane.. and ordering the DX6i..I know mixing is not that hard but looking at this video should be perfect =) thankyou.
forgot my DX6i can do this! Thanks for the reminder!

Hey Josh,
Great Video...By the way when are we gonna see the Hyper Taxi reviewed.
Now I have a turnagy evolution and there is no mix option on it i was wondering if there was a way to manually mix the elevons.
My transmitter is a turnagy evolution and the recover is a fly sky fs ia6b
So what slot should the servo's that go to the elevons be in on the rx? Ailerons or elevators?
Thanks for that :)
Great tutorial! I am finding out the hard way that elevon mixing on the Taranis is waaaay harder.
How do you adjust equal servo throws for elevon mixing on the DX6i, servo throws on one side is more than the other side on my new EDF
hey guys im having trouble mixing the blunt nose versa with the hobbyking 401b gyro and the 2 servos are connected with y cable i have a turnigy 9xr pro and the receiver is a frsky d8r plus 2 any mixing help would be great
Nice work :-) I love my stryker Q :-)
On the dx8 when I plug the dragonlink as slave I miss the configuration do you know how to fix it?
Do u guys have the dx5 and the dx6i in your store if not where can we get the controllers
why is it age restricted?
Is there anyway at all i can do mixing with my turnigy evolution!? any help would be much appreciated!
OMG THANK U i git the stryker and followed the directions on setting it up but accidentally had the ailerons reversed and couldent get them to be correct i have the dx6i and all i had to do was reverse the wireing !!!! Thank you!!!!!

Can you hardwire mix it? So it's not a function of the radio but hardwired into the plane? Because I don't have a fancy radio like you guys.
Is the noise come from the Stryker? And is noise happen only when you programing it?
thanks, do you know any websites that sell them? where did you get yours?
When I tried this on my FT versa wing, it would not work even when I switched the servo leads on my Spektrum receiver. Please help.
how to conect the servos to the reciver in elevon mixing?
5:42
- "give me a right" (plane goes left)
- "give me a left" (plane goes right)
.....
"we are good to go!"
xDD
its right though
thanks !
hey please respond, how much is a Dx5e cost? in your opinion, is it better than the Dx6i in price to performance ratio? i wanna know i have 2 planes
you guys should make a V-tail mixing video too! it would be helpful
What is the cheapest transmitter that I can elevon mix with?
Nice point mate, the issue cost many their planes. In Australia the seller has to repair or replace for such defects. Somehow I doubt the Joshs' read these forums much...
Is it possible to do with a spektrum dxe?
Yes
How use ELEVONS and gyros ???
Where conect them ???
Hi from México.
where can I download all these models to my SD card? I just got a DX8.
Is this necessary with a plane that has SAFE?
i have a turnigy 9xr how do i do the mix for these on here
Please list the planes and what battery, motor, servos so I know what to get for each plane thanks

Nice
what are dual rates?
I just bought the Dynamic-s after watching it on the show but I don't know what i'm doing with a V-tail either
why is this age restricted
props man props
When I go up or down on the stick it goes right and left on the plane vice versa, anyways to fix it?
+Miguel Boisvert switch the channel you plugged your elevator and your ailerons in the reciever around. It should fix the problem. Français par hasard?
btw, you have really nice videos ;)
I'm planning on using a HobbyKing 2.4Ghz Tx/Rx combo for $30, another thing, it comes with the simple Mix switch directly on the front. Yeah
oh, you are right! I was confused with the elevator. Thought it goes up when aileron goes up. Well, planes aren't my thing. I'm still flying an old lmh corona helicopter ;)
(at the end) Hey, you forgot your prop!
They were actually right. The side that the plane rolls, aileron goes up. So if you press right on the stick, the right aileron should go up.
Iv got a problem with my stryker.
Pulling a tight loop, it rolls out of it half way in the loop.
At the ground i cant see any difference between the left and right elevon.
So not shure why its happening. Any ideas?
check the lateral balance f your plane. one wing may be heavier than the other
3:11 Why is only one elevon working?
Why would it say that when everything else says Flight Test?
switches wich increase/decrease the amount of deflection of your controlsurfaces.
TOP ADVICE GREAT GUYS LISTEN UP LEARN MUST

why tf is this age restricted?
cause josh s farted, bummer you can't watch😂
Turnigy 9X Rocks!!!
Age restricted???????
Especially with ER9X
Good video. That screeching was rough though
you guys should have really added something in about onboard mixers for the people who dont have programmable radios, $5 alternative and works just as good
I'm the kind of ppl that, JUST WANNA FLY without referring to the boring manuals! And there they're, the HEROS, i lovvvvve them, HEHE :D HEHE :)
ok how is that guy talking on 5.59 is it the left side of Josh brain o.0 ( love hes how, what, when, character do : )
ive spent well over $150 on my first airplane and im trying to find out how to do elevon mixing with my hkt6a. im to the point i wanna throw it out the window! please get back with me
Sorry I mean COULD I fly the Stryker if I can fly the Parkzone Trojan
Is the title supposed to say 'Flite Tip' ? :D
can the Graupner HOTT MZ-12 also elevon mix?
.
Komeng Her I
Plug and Fly is Hobbyking. Getting your sponsors mixed up? xD
omg, where did 9:11 go ? xD
18th?
dul rates is the percentage of travel that you allow your servos to have
you can't see the other aileron from the camera angle
Building the VT VERSA! its coming soon!!!
You mean Horizon Hobby. :P
I cut my finger to the bone and got 5 stitches a few weeks ago because I forgot to reverse my throttle when I bound my dx5 to my visionaire... The propeller blade is still stuck in the sheetrock on the other side of the room... So yeah, taking the prop off is a good tip.
Ahh, they just changed it :P
