    I've always had the belief that the more you break down the veggies you put into your pets food the easier it for our little guys to get their nutrients. With broccoli I like to use raw fresh and run it through my food processor first. Since I like to get all my ingredients prepped and ready first it tends to sit like that for a bit before I put it all together. With what I'm understanding from this video I think I'm doing the right thing.

    Hi Rodney, would freezing the broccoli after going through that process retain the nutritional benefits? I have been making power cubes to add to my dogs dinner with some water, fruit and veg. Thanks!

    Rodney what about broccoli sprouts? After seeing Rhonda Patrick’s advice on the benefits of Sulforaphane about 5 years ago, I looked them up for dogs and found some info. stating it was toxic for canines, so never gave them to my dog. Going back today and looking for that same info again. I can’t find that nor anything stating it is indeed toxic. My dog has Insulinoma and ironically he loves raw broccoli stalks (he won’t eat the head) and bok choy, however the broccoli stalks are now too harsh for his gut. I’ve always felt sure he goes nuts for the broccoli stalks because he can sense the powerful anti-cancer compounds. He doesn’t like cooked broccoli either, he’ll only eat raw stalks. Thanks for your advice today, I’m going to try this. Would you kindly consider talking about your thoughts on broccoli sprouts for dogs at some point? They have a higher concentration of sulforaphane and would be easier to digest.

      Rodney loves broccoli sprouts and talks about them often. He's done videos in the FB group, Inside Scoop, in the past about how easy, inexpensive and beneficial it is to grow and feed broccoli sprouts. The sulphoraphane content is much higher in sprout form as well. Definitely offer it to your pup. It is a powerhouse!

      I had the same question! I live alone and half the time I cook single portions of foods either for me or my pup and that’s actually a bit harder to do in full size pans. I’ve wanted a set like this forever but all I find online is for kids play kitchens 😂

    Wow, this is the first time learning about increasing benefits by chopping and holding the broccoli! And I didn't know cats should be eating some broccoli too. How about juicing them instead of chopping and let it sit? Would that increase more benefit??

    • @qwertykotchka394
      @qwertykotchka394 Před 4 měsíci +1

      That's what I wanted to know - juicing is so much less work than chopping!

    • @Hipoporita
      @Hipoporita Před 4 měsíci

      Actually, for me, cleaning the juicer is a lot more work😅 I don't mind chopping and my cats eat them mixed with food (I tried yesterday) but I thought liquid form might be easier to absorb, like we humans do. It's just you don't get much juice from broccoli florets🥦 Hope they'll give us more details like how long chopped & held broccoli can be kept before losing its benefit and if it can be kept frozen🙂

    • @nogames8982
