  • I made this plasma table out of an old oil drum to make plasma cutting easier and cut down on mess, I gave it wheels to move around the workshop. I can also use the angle grinder on it and I made an adapter for the belt sander
    If I get really desperate I can use it as a barbeque

    It slices, it dices, it cooks and cleans up too! What more could a fella want?! Love the attachment and shield, smart thinking. Great little project,

    I just use outdoor barbecues people throw away in the States. Pretty much ready-made plasma tables. If they get too beat-up, I just find another one.

    Total DROSS.
    I already wanted to know how you built this from seeing it in a video you posted, but that little detail let me know I'll be watching this video 100 times in the future. Cheers.

    Nice work. I am not sure you need to bolt the top on, seems to me it would be hand to be able to take it off and on quickly.

    Congratulations on the project. I was very interested, I intend to do using the same materials. One question, what would be the measure of flat bars. I'm from Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, Thank you for your attention.

      @@projectmayhemUK yes to drill the holes but some kind of hydraulic punch to put the bolts in

      @@intheshedwithjohnnyg8894 That's called a Zert Nut tool. It's like a rivet gun for bolts to screw into. If you don't have one, get one. They quickly become a shop favorite.

    Couple of things. The flat bars where the material will rest shouldn't be welded, over time you'll have to change them. And bolting the top will make harder to retrieve small cut pieces that fell inside

    • @1966cambo
      @1966cambo Před rokem

      I agree, and seeing as how there is a lip left from cutting the top off all that needs to be done is weld spacers to the ring so the flat bar can be located and sit on the lip.
      Good use of a barrel though and it catches the sparks/molten metal.
