I'm so glad you posted this! I've been looking into becoming a Cuddlist, and I love your videos. It's important to hear about the good parts and the bad/hard parts.
Holly, I am also looking to do this too. I did contact cuddlist.com and I really like this training they offer. I just have to get a few things in place before I can start training.

I understand some people are super honest and legitimately need your services for different reasons, but i would be so nervous for my wife's safety if this was her job. You seem like a strong good hearted woman.

Hi Janet, I've viewed a ton of your videos and appreciate your holistic healing approach to platonic cuddling. Kudos to you for sticking to your boundaries.
The concept of "platonic" cuddling is so subjective as I'm sure you know, particularly in the non-pro realm. For me it's a holistically-therapeutic pursuit in the same family as mental health therapy or massage therapy. So cuddle parties or public cuddling is not really my thing, but to each his own.
As I've delved deeper into the space and have cuddled with a range of people, I've come to understand that it's all about communication, boundaries/consent, and openly discussing your idea of sensuality vs. sexuality and intimacy vs. romance with your partner before hand.
Being held and nurtured in a judgement free environment along with esthetic attraction is pretty powerful stuff. Particularly for many males that don't feel they can be completely vulnerable in their personal relationships for fear of being viewed as weak.
So, for those guys that haven't taken the time to explore how great platonic cuddling can be for their well-being, unfortunately, they will always get the organic sensual and intimate energy that comes with cuddling confused with sex and romance.
Leaving the sexual and romantic notions out of the cuddle equation is what platonic cuddling is all about -- making it so much more fulfilling than what this guy you are speaking of was out for from my experience. If I ever come to San Antonio I'm definitely going to look you up. Be well...

Thank you for sharing! It's great to know how you handled that situation. My question is if that person calls you for another appt would you do it? Not sure if this was the first time this person did this or did you warn them politely before?

@@JanetTrevino my wife and I have been sharing hugs on the streets in different countries in Europe for about 10 years and we also experienced many situations that we felt uncomfortable in Janet. I don't think that everyone will be ever ready in life to know what the power of a cuddling or snuggling can ever do in someone's life without being driven by sexual feelings...

I had my 1st 2 sessions about a month ago. They went well.

That's quite interesting, actually. Could you speak more to that? What do you mean by "show up strongly?"
Human nature is to select a person that you have some level of attraction to. Now combine that with sensual touching and closeness, laying with one another etc., I believe each person is straddling the proverbial fence. I get the titillation of the moment but as you repeat this, I believe it gets more and more difficult to separate natural desires. Just one person's perspective, be safe!
Yes. It is hard to separate all the pieces of human interaction. And for some of us, touch is the only piece in lack. It may be necessary to get it isolated from other connections. Be well.
Great share, thanks for sharing. In this video you mention you have kids. No everyone has a cuddle mom. What’s it like when you guys watch movies? Or bigger talks? Do you and your kids cuddle often??? :D feels like once I wasn’t a baby anymore, my dad stopped holding me
It’s been quite interesting to see how my kids have developed in all of this. My 13yo absolutely loves cuddling!! He can’t get enough. My 12yo seeks it out at bedtime. My 10yo while bashful to ask for it, loves it. My 8yo it’s everything. The first three are boys. Gender is irrelevant. We all need touch! And we don’t grow out of it!

Thank you for sharing. I am glad you left safely although it was a nerve wracking, annoying incident. It's one of the reason I can't do this professionally. No patience with those types of customers who don't understand firm boundaries. Curious though, can a female professional cuddlist only accept female customers? I wondered about that.

With Cuddlist, you are not allowed to discriminate w gender. At least the last I knew.

@@JanetTrevino I think I could lay my two cents and say that any woman would really appreciate the time you spend with them... You have a nice voice and perhaps a good listening ear to which most of them would just lay their head on your shoulder while being in the confort of your arms.
I can't speak for men, but since they are known to drown their loneliness and sorrows in booze, they just want in for the gratification of the touch other than the warm bonding and connection you have with women... Most of us just want to be cozy in someone's arms while feeling that the person is really there for us, even if it's only for a couple of hours

I’m a straight guy and I would really enjoy this without sex I really don’t get why they don’t just enjoy the session without trying to make it sexual, I find the cuddling to be comforting and that’s what I want in these sessions!!!

People who break boundaries aren’t usually in the most generous.
Cuddling is not about touch at all, it is about energy. We can take responsibility for other people energy giving higher taste and rising their energy to the heart. Lust is only perverted love so people have right to search on the way how they know. My experience is like that, some woman put me on fire and others calm me down. So just idea for introspection. Learn more about Tantra and heart energy. Maybee help. :-)

My viewpoint is that the energy thingie is really a biggie...especially that the cuddlist has family and kids. When two or more individuals interact, there is sharing, mingling, or transference of energy/vibrations, which benefit our clients; however, we are also affected by their bioelectromagnetic environment. We need to set clear boundaries and maintain them and practice a system of cleansing after each session before meeting another client or reconnecting to family an friends.
