- Wanting to learn about the Tether Stablecoin token? In this video we talk about how the Tether stablecoin works, what it's purpose is, and some drama surrounding rumors of their liquidity.
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

One thing to remember is that not even banks hold most of their "reserves" in actual cash. Instead they have loans, securities, and bonds on their balance sheet. What is most important to a bank is the insurance and in order to maintain that insurance, they are audited by a third party and also examined by their primary federal regulator. So Tether should be audited.
Do you think that they will have any problems? How, then, have they existed for so many years? Your fears are in vain.
That would only be an issue if banks could issue new money which they don't.
And federal banks do not need to be checked lol?
@@TNoel-ol8es his fears aren't in vain. Their unsecured debt is coming from Chinese shadow banks, since no US Banks are crazy enough to do business with Tether. (it will unravel soon, there's a $1 million bounty for any investor who will spill the details of Tether's unsecured debt)
Once China's real estate bubble pops, Chinese banks holding the $62 Billion unsecured debt bag will be dragged along with Tether on it.
I have followed this Tether rabbit hole long enough and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

A dollar, by definition, is a weight and purity of silver coin. A bank note is a receipt for said dollar. Banks have failed in their obligations, and then we only use receipts. Now, we use tokens which may or may not represent receipts.

Apart from that with other cryptos like bitcoin volatility is up or down so you can win big or loose big . It all depends on if the person behing the controls is honest or a crock. With blockchain today the actual question is not security or trust because that issue has been improved substaincially the real issue is world stability that all currencies depend upon cryptos and real money.

If the company really has its major part of funds invested in short term loans or cash equivalents (Treasury bills for example), it doesn’t make sense to force them holding cash. Their funds would be liquid enough to repay anyone who wants to give back their coins.

With everything that you can find out about Tether, I'm shocked that it is still the largest stable coin market cap. It really makes you wonder if that's because they just printed so much more than they should have. Something like USDC has very transparent and frequent audits, and doesn't have a murky past nor the super shady founders and owners that tether has. And it's not "rumors" about Tether and Bitfinex, they are literally owned by the same people.
But what about the activities of USDC and Circle? In my opinion, this does not compare with all Tether FUDs

I'm saying USDC is much more frequently audited, their reserves are much more transparent and are made up of much better things than Tether, and their leadership doesn't have as shady a background as Tether. Especially with the Tether and Bitfinex issue.
@@plan9203 Rumor has it that more than half of the card purchases of usdc on the official merchant partner site circle are used to fund illegal offshore betting and gambling sites. Affiliates buy usdc and send them to such sites right away.
Over the past few weeks, Circle has been sending letters to partners asking for legal opinions and proof of their licenses. They should have done normal KYC before giving them affiliate access, and not trying to cover their tracks now. There are clearly no such stories for Tether.
@@markrodgers8941 not as big as Tether selling ungodly amounts of Tether with an undisclosed low price to Alameda Research, Cumberland Global which was then given to market makers to collude on the launch of artificial Crypto Bull run.
