Technically, the EVM is a cloud computer that is operated by all the nodes that contribute to it. This means it’s not a single computer somewhere, it’s the accumulation of thousands of computers around the world. In reality, each computer on the Ethereum network runs a piece of software that is basically computing the output of smart contract transactions.
Minor correction, Cardano actually uses Plutus (basically a fork of Haskell) to process smart contracts. Not Rust.
Can't wait for the class!
Technically the EVM runs on a single computer. Many computers running it is more of the process of coming to consensus and validating the chain. But great video nonetheless!
Very informative! Easy to understand and this fellow speaks great English.
1st innacuracy: the evm is not a computer, the evm is software that runs on a computer. more specifically the evm is a system of interpereting hexadecimal strings and then operating on the given values based on a system of semantics determined by 2 byte op codes preceding said values. this is only a computer in the technical sense, it is not hardware it is all specific software running on generalized hardware.
Excellent way to put it
You’re describing the “VM” in “EVM”
3rd innacuracy: the transaction does not get skipped when you have an insufficient balance and the transaction has been submitted. you will spend gas and still get a failed transaction as you are paying for the verification of your failed transaction.
Hey Ryan, what do you do? You seem really smart and I’d like to meet you if possible!
Thanks for this
Thanks for your contents, they’re really helpful. And can you please tell me what whiteboard animation software you’re using? It’s for educational purpose. Thanks again.
2nd innacuracy: the evm does not read bytecode it reads op codes and value pairs, bytecode is simply a binary format that needs to be translated into a decompiled digestible hexadecimal format by the interpreter, the bytecode is a lot smaller to pass around but is not directly read from as it is a compiled mass of bytes.
EVM stores bytecodes right?
As far as I know bytecode is a sequence of opcodes, each representing a specific instruction for the EVM to perform. The EVM reads and executes the bytecode directly; it doesn't need to translate it into another format for execution. However, for human readability, bytecode (which is in binary) is often represented in hexadecimal format. This representation is more about making it easier for humans to read and understand the bytecode, rather than a requirement for the EVM's operation.
Love the review part
Hola como siempre dándole las gracias por sus comentarios, un abrazo 🤗
Best time for a video comparing centralized exchanges to DEXs?
Great idea
Whiteboard Crypto saved my marriage.
Solana uses Rust, but Cardano uses Haskell for smart contracts.
You are correct. Cardano uses Haskell. Rust is used also in other blockchains like Radix (Scrypto/Rust framework) . There are also new supersets of Solidity like Move.
If OpCode is the only piece application determine the gas fees, then how come REDLC blockchain (evm compatible) doesn’t have any gas fees, or simply put gasless? Is that mean REDLC doesn’t have OpCode?
Would love to see if you'd be interested in doing a video on hunt entire Sphere finance DeFi ecosystem
I like your funny words, magic man!
What are the best assembly language opcode tools?
PLEASE can you make a video about ICP Definity!!?
the link redirect to DeFi beginner not the web3 bootcamp details. pls advise. thanks
Fixed! Thanks so much :D
@@WhiteboardCrypto not sure if this if fixed. Maybe the course is closed by now
Waiting for BOOTCAMP any eta on it?
I’m interested in the bootcamp…
Pls do video on creating dapp using react Native
Cardano uses Haskell (Plutus) for now..but evm supprt is on the way.
Speculative investments are contributing to inflation as well.
This seemed like an explanation for the Ethereum blockchain. Not fully understanding the difference between EVM and Ethereuem.
how much is web3 bootcamp going to cost?
Could you please look into CULT DAO? There’s been a lot of talk around the crypto industry about CULT and the zk-EVM blockchain they being built. Rumors are, CULT dev is Ryoshi (shiba)
This is Alpha. Take it at will. 🤝
Do eosio / Antelope next!
Where all these block.number, msg.value, msg.sender global variables are stored in EVM??
Bro could you explain it here only so that every person get the ans.
ZkEVM is live on test net by polygon...
Mainnet coming soon.... Ohhh yeahhh
Are you a dev?
I do a lot more than develop, but in the next few days you'll see some things I've personally built ;)
The ERC-404 is bullish and that's why I'm buying some ETH on Nexo!
The bots here are crazy
You really should do a HEX crypto and it's great use case of value soon
@Hes hahahahaha "Rekt"?? You mean hex? Einstein this is a bear market , what's not wrecked? LoL. People like you who post like this post because they believe negativity and the reality is HEX has done soooo well and soo many people are jealous. Yes it's down now Einstein.....BUT EVERYTHING IS DOWN. Buying in a bear market makes millionaires. Watch Hex go again over. .49 cents all time high to near $100 dollars when people finally acknowledge it and see how the unfailed flawless code has never failed and never will even after R. HEART passes away one day HEX will still be working on the blockchain flawlessly. Wait until Pulsechain launches. Thanks for playing
I’d watch that

Hello Whiteboard Crypto, we are big fans of your channel wondering if you would be interested in collabing to making a video in the future. Maybe about Cold Storage "how to" or if you are open to joining us live we would be excited to host you
Excellent presentation of material. Whether you like it or not, you'll understand. Keep doing the same. Another request, can you also tell us about liquidity mining using the example of a grizzlyfi or any other project? or altcoins like $GHNY

Fantastic. I am a 52 year old female veteran that started learning Blockchain coding 2 years ago when my identity was stolen. I have even entered a hackathon.. this is great for me to share but I am so broke from being reked. My project is workable and built for payments but I need a team to keep the dorks from messing my life up.
Gonna share this with the Gen-xers of my community this will help so much. Would love for you to join the blue crew. We fight the good fight. One Blockchain at a time 💯🏝️👻🎶💃💃
Island ghost, we’re did you learn all this? Is there a website or something I can get my 13 yr old on? I want the best of the best without the waiting list. Thanks
this is not island Ghost! i am the real ISLAND GHOST!! she stole my identity :o
@@michieladriaansens5977 your a dork. Children grow up and learn Blockchain without the bs.
@@IslandGhost0420 thanks for the advice grandma.. kinda funny hearing that from someone who named herself 'Island Ghost' 😂
4: last and weirdest innacuracy was the one about add up all the costs of the individual solidity op code calls and thats how much it costs to publish a contract? that is meaningless, first off there is literally no evidence for that whatsoever. second off the publishing of the contract is never the bottleneck it is the execution of the contract by users which causes fee bottlenecks and rarely can you observe this in pretense because chain gas fees on ethereum are the most inconsistent and expensive things ever invented in the history of blockchain for no evident reason.
The next bull run........ No doubt in whiteboard. That sounded pretty confident.
Man the information is amazing, the voice is so annoying . . .
hahaha he kinda sounds like a kid who's balls haven't dropped yet.. not to offend the dude, whiteboard crypto is amazing but he kinda does 😂😂😂
You can always mute :) his voice is okay bro
Anything ethereum related won't be around soon enough. Pre mined coins will be a thing of the past.
What are the alternatives?
That "premined coins" thing is bullshit. If you heard about Bitcoin in 2009, you had a great advantage over someone who heard about Bitcoin in 2022. Same for Ethereum when it comes to premined coins sold to early investors. Life is unfair, deal with it, you silly maxi
I HAVE INCURRED SO MUCH LOSSES TRADING ON MY OWN...I TRADE WELL ON DEMO BUT I THINK THE REAL MARKET IS MANIPULATED... CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT OR AT LEAST TELL ME WHAT I'M DOING WRONG ?
Same here, My portfolio has been going down the drain while I try trading,l just don't know what I do wrong.
Trading with an expert is the best strategy for newbies and busy investors who have little or no time to monitor trade.. I will advice you not to stop trading on your own it's very risky. Seek advice of a professional trader.
