- Just a morning chit chat with the 7 baby guinea pigs rescued yesterday. I am so sorry that some of the footage is not 100% in focus and not well lit. I filmed this before my coffee and while they were all eating so its not my best work lol!
SCGPR is a 501c3 rescue run by foster volunteers, and our organization operates entirely on donations. Our network spans the whole of Southern California, and we work to serve every community throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

Those tiny miracles are just to precious!
❤they are so cute.
Ten babies, that's insane. Poor Mama. I'm so glad the babies have good appetites and they're in a great place.
Go have your coffee ❤, thanks for sharing the sweetie pies
Chunky, fat guinea pig is the perfect description of how a piggy should be! What a wonderful expression for these cute potatoes, I hope they can gain weight still. It sounds like you're super busy, just remember for all of your hard work, you also need to feed yourself! You really are, a dedicated and compassionate woman ❤
They're all so thin! So happy they're with you now.
Bless your heart for taking such wonderful care of these little piggies! Special prayers for the little guy who is developmenally behind! 😃
I help at a sanctuary which takes in lethal whites and although they have their issues they often go on to lead good lives. Often they can't see and/or hear so don't react to sights/sounds which a guinea pig could enterpret as danger so they can be quite goofy and happy-go-lucky. They tend to have sight, hearing or dental issues or all three. Our sanctuary vet is amazing with them and their health issues can be managed effectively. Luckily these little ones don't seem to have the lethal gene but are obviously tiny and have had a rough start. Thank you for your help and care getting these babies to the safety they desperately needed
Yes I cared for a couple of lethal babies several years back. It was definitely a task to care for them but they both ended up doing fairly well. I agree that these little ones are tiny and had a rough start, they don't seem to have that lethal gene thank goodness. I can't say too much but with the way their living conditions were I doubt any lethal babies would have made it this far.
@@SoCalGuineaPigRescue Poor babies. So glad you were able to help them
I'm glad they all have good appetites❤
💔 I am so broken over these babies! I have such a Mama's heart!!!! I wish we had not come home from Oregon as if I was in your area I would be right there to help you!!! Thank you for not just handing them over to the Vegas Rescue. I think they need to be with you for just a tad bit longer. Mama probably didn't have enough milk. I am surprised she is calcium deficient! They are a miracle, I truly believe that. Val, you sound so tired. I wish there was something I could do! 😢
I was tired this morning lol! And yes they need some time to get bigger before heading out to another rescue or even to another foster or adopter. I'll fatten them up in no time!
@@SoCalGuineaPigRescue You go girlfriend! If anyone can handle it, it is you! ,,💫
Omg Valerie they are so cute, I just can’t handle all that cuteness. I think u should bond that tiny tiny baby, who I have named munchkin lol, with your sweet Joe
oh Munchkin is the perfect name for him!
They look like hamsters😂🥰
They are gorgeous, so hungry, thank you for helping them
They are adorable! Thank you for taking such good care of these little ones.
Gorgeous princes and princesses. Heaps of love. 👀🤴🤴🤴👸👸👸👸
So precious!! Thank you so much for caring for them!❤
Thank you so much for caring for them. They are so precious and I hope they get the forever homes that they deserve.
So these people intended to have the mother as a single guinea pig? Before they realized that she was pregnant? I presume she is a "teenage" mom too, impregnated at like 8 weeks? Such a sad story! And going through the birth and nursing without another female to help her! It's a miracle those ten babys and their mama survived! They should be treasured and spoiled!
yeahhhh they only wanted one. Mama pig seemed pretty young, maybe 6 months old, I would have loved to take her too but sadly that didn't happen.
@@SoCalGuineaPigRescue I know the feeling when they won't let you take them all but won't listen to advise either😥
is there any way to contact you? If you are putting them up for adoption ill take 2. petco had a lethal white but he was very messed up. had 1 tooth, blind (they think) and he started getting a fungus. I spent 2 weeks re-visiting to check on him. right when i went to buy him he was no longer there. Petco took him to the vet. who knows if they took him to the vet or did something else. Gave them my number because i did want to take care of him. He was a lethal white actually sick. But there are PEW pink eyed white which are completely normal. My first guinea was a PEW. Been searching for months and havent found another except for the petco one.
@@RinoaAeris you can email me! Socalguineapigrescue@gmail.com
@@RinoaAeris we see PEWs a lot! But I haven’t had little pew babies in a while
@@SoCalGuineaPigRescue yes i've seen elderly ones but they were extremely far away but as far as babies go i havent seen any.
