Why we LOVE Japanese Vans! | JDM Toyota Alphard (4K)

- This week we just wanted to go over our JDM 2003 Toyota Alphard in more detail as it’s been a little bit since the last time we featured the van on the channel directly. Let us tell you, we are absolutely in love with Japanese vans!
First of all, the utility of this funny imported van is unbeatable. It has plenty of space for all of our gear, whether we're going on a road trip or running errands around town. And the power door makes loading and unloading a breeze.
But the utility doesn't stop there. The interior of the Alphard is also top-notch. The lighting is perfect for late-night drives and the rear seats can be arranged in many different configurations to suit whatever we need. It's great for hauling people or gear, a combination of both, or even being set up so we can hang out the sides or the back to film all the insane shots that you’re used to seeing here.
And let's talk about reliability. This van has been a workhorse for us and we have never had any major issues with it. We have complete confidence that it will get us where we need to go, no matter what, because it shares all of its integral mechanical components with the North American market Camry of the same generation.
But perhaps the thing we love most about our Alphard is its unique look. It stands out on the road and always turns heads. It's not every day you see a 2003 Toyota Alphard cruising down the highway (although they seem to have become a bit more common), and we love being the ones behind the wheel.
Overall, we are just thrilled with our 2003 Toyota Alphard van and can't recommend it enough. If you're in the market for a reliable, utility-packed vehicle with a little bit of flair, this is the one for you!

Just recently lived 3 years in Japan. CC Lemon is so common there and tasty. Great for when you need a boost. The cost over in North America is too expensive though!

To keep the 25yr rule for the US, as alphards started in 02, you'll be looking in 2027 unfortunately, so still some time to go

How is your view when turning left? My assumption is it's better since you're sitting higher compared to a RHD car? I haven't seen a setup yet with a front camera to the far left of the windshield with a monitor to aid when turning left.
