- Phase Zero got the chance to sit down with the MCU's most recent Big Bad, the villain at the heart of The Marvels, Dar-Benn herself Zawe Ashton...and during out interview she let it slip that MCU fans only saw ONE of the endings they filmed for the Marvels! So what was the alternate fate for Captain Marvel, Monica Rambos, and Ms. Marvel...and could it have involved one of them biting the bullet in the final fight?

Zawe Ashton is a good actress, who knows the assignment and her character Dar-Benn was a badass, who held her own against three Cosmically powered heroes. Nice work. 😃👍✨

Dar-Benn is definitely in my top ten list of best MCU villains along with Agatha, Wanda, Hela, and Kingpin. I respect Dar-Benn's relentless hustle.
I said, "okay miss Thanos!" When she clasped the bangles together regardless of the outcome hahaha. I love a simple villain sometimes
@nailinthefashion Dar-Benn's legendary death scene is an unforgettable experience. I can't stop rewatching the moment that she blasts herself up onto her ship as she invades Aladna and yells, "Go!" to the pilot while giving us a badass and iconic strut.

Great interview peeps! Love hearing from Zawe about how motherhood affected the role. Just re-watching it I can see that come through the screen for sure for certain scenes.

I really believe Zawe got a raw hand in the Marvels. The direction seemed completely inadequate and her costuming held her back so badly - the nerds hit her acting so badly but what I saw was a good actress completely hindered by no good support system. She had this horrible grill in her mouth, bad costuming, and the weapon she was supposed to hold was unusable? in good fighting scenes. What did the director say, hold your eyes open really wide? And then I heard the director took off before the end.
I'm pretty sure Phase Zero themselves debunked the whole Nia ran off BS (as I understand it, the movie was complete and she was under contract for another project)
@@serenity4eva89 That's even worse, because the movie had such an unfinished and phoned-in feel, it was very easy to believe.
I disagree, I think she chewed her lines and worked the shoulder pads. It's not Dar Benn's movie so I'm glad she was just this growing cloud surrounding the 3 lights but we don't know Dar Benn too well. She's not too empathetic to where we feel bad when she goes
@@nailinthefashion I think that's the reason why her scenes may have been cut TBH.
I honestly felt empathy for her especially when she was back on her planet and they had fresh air. The concern for her people in her eyes was genuine.
And she was always gonna die. She even told Ty-rone it didn't matter as long she saved her people.
I already saw the secret ending cause I I eat the game in Hard mode
She should be made that they wrote her villain as a very forgettable, cliched 1998 empty character.
This Dar-Benn looks a bit different than the source material. Can't quite put my finger on it though....
The Director and Producers messed up a movie that could have been so much better. 😮
Stop the cap. Dar-Benn was a bottom tier mustache twirling villian and her acting was atrocious. 🤷🏾♂️
