Sehr schöne Aufnahmen. Vielen Dank fürs Einstellen. Ist mal sehr interessant, was in Wien alles an Rollmaterial aufkreuzt. Ich habe mich eher auf Graz und die Steiermark konzentriert.

My first visit to Vienna was in December 2013, when I went on to catch a train to Graz.
I asked at the hotel what station I needed, I was told "Wien Meidling".
I didn't believe her, so headed off to Wien Hauptbahnhof, however, they hadn't finished building it. The only platforms in use were the S-Bahn lines into 1 & 2 (previously called Südtiroler Platz), so I had to catch an S-Bahn to Meidling and then get the train onto Graz.
I later found out about the replaced Südbahnhof and wish that I'd been able to visit it. I appreciate its faults e.g. two terminating stations at right angles to each other, preventing through trains and that it really just looked like an over-sized betting shop from the '60s but I kinda liked it as it had character and was from an earlier era, pandering less to foreigners.
I have mixed feelings about Hbf. On the plus side, I love how it's such a focus for so many international services. Once i saw a train from Moscow (!) roll in on its way to Nice. There are also services to Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Munich & Bucharest.
One the minus side, it lacks character, being like a modern airport, in that it panders to all the shops & restaurants etc. that you'd see in an airport, the platforms being one-level up; you don't get much of a 'station experience' and most announcements are also made in English, which also spoils the experience.
I've subsequently had a look round Wien Westbahnhof... hadn't realised that that had a number of mainline international services before Hbf was fully operational.
It's all very interesting !

Pročpak mají všechny ty soustavy na jedném konci normálni oboustrannou lomomotivu (takovou, která je použitelná v obou směrech) a na druhém konci ten vagon s kabinou na konci? Nejsem expert, ale klasická soustava je podle mně lokomotiva + normální vagony nebo soustava kde první a poslední vagon mají na začátku a na konci kabinu pro strojvůdce.
Ahoj, je to hlavne preto, aby mohli súpravy rýchlejšie meniť smer či už v cieľových alebo v úvraťových staniciach. Rušeň, ktorý sa nachádza na jednom konci súpravy je upravený tak, aby mohol byť riadený diaľkovo z riadiaceho vozňa, takže v staniciach, kde dochádza k zmene smeru stačí, aby rušňovodič prešiel z jedného konca súpravy na druhý a nemusel tak obiehať celú súpravu s rušňom. Je to teda niečo ako elektrická jednotka, ale v prípade potreby sa vie rušeň odpojiť a využiť aj samostatne :)

Ahoj, to nie je pesnička, to je zvuk, ktorý vydávajú rušne rady 1016 a 1116 pri rozbehu. Na kanále mám aj veľký zostrih s názvom "Siemens Taurus - Spievajúca lokomotíva", ktorý je zostavený výhradne z rozbehov týchto rušňov :)

Etwa 4 Milliarden hat das Projekt gekostet , 1 Milliarde der eigentliche Hauptbahnhof ! Im Gegensatz zum Südbahnhof wirkt er eher wie eine Haltestelle oder Einkaufszentrum mit Gleisanschluss ! Die im Film vorbeifahrende tschechische Regiojetgarnitur besteht teilweise aus ehem. ÖBB -Fernreisezugwaagen ,die wurden den Railjets geopfert und ins Ausland verscherbelt !! Es is ja nur Steuergeld !
