This is my favorite band and I was so sad when I learned they had broken up. Thanks for making this cover, it'd be nice if you could make more The Killers covers.
They didn’t break up, they just released a new song lol. But their lead guitar player, Dave Keuning, is on an extended break from the band. No one is sure if he’s even in the band anymore or not, sadly.

Terrence Winter yup. Three out of the original four are still making music, with a new album out in May, while their original guitarist is on a hiatus.

Thanks for this video. I have learned many songs from your work. One question: When you go to the 17th fret on the D and A strings, why didn't you do the octave on the G string and the 5th just below it? It's a lot less distance to travel. Just curious.
Hmm, my guess is the tone of the 17th fret is more accurate to the recording. For instance, in Aero Zeppelin by Nirvana the bass hits the E note but it alternates with the open E string and the 12th fret for a distinct sound.

Is this a different tuning? Or is my bass just out of tune? I have to play one fret lower to make the same pitch.
It's tuned down half step, so you need to lower your strings

I think the chords were wrong in this song, because you're down tuned a semi tone but you still put the chords up as if it was in standard tuning.
When writing for transposed instruments you always want the harmony transposed too, so you don't have to convert everything in your mind
