- Huawei's MatePad 11 is the smaller version of the 12.6-inch MatePad I tested earlier. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with 6GB of RAM. While these components aren't flagship territory, the tablet performs quite well thanks to Huawei's software -- #HarmonyOS.
- Věda a technologie
This is exactly the type of table that i need. Good overall specs and more importantly great price.
I love the pleasant pace of Ben's reviews. Always refreshing seeing devices that usually might not end up on the bigger channels, which have ended up rinsing and repeating their tech repertoire.
Exactly.
Hello to help people, I would like to share you a detail explication of what is HarmonyOS.
Introduction : HarmonyOS is an open source operating system usable on ALL types of Internet Of Things (IoT) devices that allows easy connection between them and create a Harmonious ecosystem through Huawei's 1 + 8 + N strategy. It is very promising thanks to his Multi kernel architecture which combines the micro kernels of LiteOS (Huawei's light OS for his connected objects) which ensures security and flexibility, as well as his 2 other kernel linux (this one is different from that of Android) and kernel subsystem which allow to have a very great stability, speed and fluidity. The core of HarmonyOS has also a Driver subsystem. HarmonyOS is able to adapt to all types of devices using the appropriate cores. This is why HarmonyOS is lighter, smoother and uses less ram (thanks to different ram management) than Android and EMUI without GMS.
Scenario : HarmonyOS is not a fork of android, because android only uses a linux kernel which is different from HarmonyOS and it is limited to a number of devices where else. For example, a simple touch of a HarmonyOS NFC Tag allows a simplified connection between a bus and the smartphone to know the route of a trip. Same thing with a microwave which will provide us with examples of recipes according to the health data required on the HarmonyOS connected watch. Another example scenario, from the control center of the smartphone you can broadcast a film live on the HarmonyOS smartTV and at the same time use the bluetooth headphones and all this simply and without interference.
Coded : In addition, applications can be coded in different languages including that of Android and that of HarmonyOS itself, which is called HarmonyOS Markup Language (HML).
HarmonyOS is now compatible with Widevine L1 to offer FHD content on Netflix.
In other words HarmonyOS provides multi-language programming APIs for you to develop applications. You can choose from Java, Extensible Markup Language (XML), C / C ++, JavaScript (JS), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and HarmonyOS Markup Language (HML).
Huawei also said that when you develop an app on HarmonyOS for smartphones for example, you won't need to redevelop it for another device as it will adapt depending on the device. Moreover Huawei explains that the compatibility with the Apk of AppGallery is useful for smoothing the transition from Android to HarmonyOS, it is perfectly logical as a strategy since AppGallery already contains apks and if they were only the HML, the catalog of applications would be poor. We must see this compatibility as an asset. And after all, it's Huawei, their ecosystem is a marvel as well as HMS Core which keeps evolving :)
Conclusion: Thanks to all this Huawei can offer HarmonyOS to all the other brands and companies that have also expressed their interest in this system.
The greatest strength of HarmonyOS is that it can be used on all types of devices including computers, smartTVs, cars, smart lights, smartwatches, microwaves and all other types of objects. connected and offer a simplified life thanks to the secure interconnection of exchanges in all scenarios of daily life (at work, at school, at home, by car, etc.)
For Alternatives to help people i share you also the list of the Huawei ecosystem and all its alternatives:
- AppGallery
- HMS Core (Huawei Mobile Services Core)

NOTE 3: Be aware that all social network applications work perfectly without google services.
my BEU
Thanks for the review, Ben. I got mine on a great bundle deal in Aug 2022. After spending a day getting to know the unit and HarmonyOS 2.0, I am impressed. Good job Huawei. I hope Huawei will continue to innovate and improve moving towards the future.
I ordered the pro last week. It will be my first tablet and my first Harmony OS device.
good luck
Which country??
They are running a combo deal in EU, tablet 128GB version + keyboard + stylus for like 399 euro. I've ordered mine for a vendor that added a -15% discount on top of that. So at 345 euro, the whole package is a best-buy! I'll be using the tablet to read manga's and with the pen to do wireframes/sketches for my web design business, as I want to get away from the pen-paper, saving me time.
@@sparrow5686 I bought it here in México in a bundle with the keybord and the pen.

NOTE 3: Be aware that all social network applications work perfectly without google services.

Hey man, i love how instagram works in landscape mode as per what you showed. However i am unable to do so on my Huawei Matepad 11. May i check what version of instagram you are on, or where you downloaded it from? Thank you!
Yeah! I will try it asap. 👍
Hi, since the keyboard does not use regular pins for power can you use it portrait like just flip it, will this work? Does it actually has a battery of its own?
my Matepad 11 will be delivered soon!. the order includes also: Huawei Freebuds 3 + M pencil 2 + smart magnetic keyboard. All that for 400 euros, amazing. Not having Google services it's not a big deal, especially on a tablet✌🏼
Thanks for the infos. You sound like a friendly version of Al Pacino in "Scarface". Has anyone used Aurorastore on this tablet?
Gorgeous Tablet 😍🔥

Hello @ben's ! is it a M-Pencil 2nd Generation you have? Here in France we got the Huawei MatePad Pro Pencil, which is not fully compatible with the MatePad 11 (always disconnecting every 10 seconds or less).
I would like to know if it is the 2nd generation you have?
thanks :)
Great review as always. I would say that the hole Google apps thing is no big deal even on a phone. I have a Mate 40 pro and my only nitpick is not being able to log in to Google maps and photos. I still use Google maps without logging in and petal maps when I want to save a new location to return to. Google photos replaced with onedrive. Another issue that I have is that notifications for Microsoft teams and WhatsApp aren't great when the phone is not awake.
What about banking apps like gpay?
The only issue I have with my Huawei mate 30 pro is the lack of goggle pay. Most apps are avaliable
I have mostly the same setup for my P40 Pro. You can try looking into MicroG and use it’s cloud messaging to fix the notification issues. Works most of the time for me.
@@sharonsunil978 you can download your bankings apps from Apkpure, it's safe, because its the apps of the playstore

Hi, I love your review. But if you can review about Zoom App on Matepad 11, that'd be awesome. I wanna know how many participants I can view at a time in gallery view and I'm very curious about Zoom's annotate on matepad 11. It will be great help for me because I'm using the app for teaching online classes. Tqvm!
Could anybody link the wallpaper? Looks stunning!
What is powering the keypad? I don't see any battery slot and also no connectors on the device!
I'm yet working as an adult and I like Huawei making it easy to just drag into any Huawei device, because the price of the Huawei matepad pro is pretty expensive for my budget,do you think if should I go with the Huawei matepad 11 for me,yes I do like the iPad pro much but I think Huawei products just makes it even convenient to use and save files between Huawei products than apple products,do you think I should go with the matepad 11 and after I grow up to work as an adult then only then I choose a better device?
does the this read canon new raw file(cr3)?
Does it work for connecting to projector?
Can we install na office in Huawei matepad 11?

Hellllooo I would like to share you a detail explication of what is HarmonyOS.

Hello I would like to share you a detail explication of what is HarmonyOS.
ntroduction : HarmonyOS is an open source operating system usable on ALL types of Internet Of Things (IoT) devices that allows easy connection between them and create a Harmonious ecosystem through Huawei's 1 + 8 + N strategy.
The greatest strength of HarmonyOS is that it can be used on all types of devices including computers, smartTVs, cars, smart lights, smartwatches, microwaves and all other types of objects. connected and offer a simplified life thanks to the secure interconnection of exchanges in all scenarios of daily life (at work, at school, at home, by car, etc.) glldd

NOTE 2: Otherwise if you really want to use apps from google services, there is an app on AppGallery called Gspace. This allows you to have all the services of google including normal CZcams.
NOTE 3: Be aware that all social network applications work perfectly without google services. Uohn
The greatest strength of HarmonyOS is that it can be used on all types of devices including computers, smartTVs, cars, smart lights, smartwatches, microwaves and all other types of objects. connected and offer a simplified life thanks to the secure interconnection of exchanges in all scenarios of daily life (at work, at school, at home, by car, etc.) read
I'm totally aware of all this, thanks for writing it here though. I am a fan of Huawei's way of doing things. It is very unique and advanced.

It's 399 euros with a pen and a keyboard in Germany
The 64gb bundle yes, the 128gb bundle is 499€ (in Germany)
US$458 w pen & keyboard. In Asia
I am interested of this Tablet, for its price and specifications. The problem is Huawei has a very closed ecosystem, Samsung tablets allow wireless transmission with any laptop, no matter the brand Huawei does not, and that's a headache.
I think Samsung Dex only works with Samsung laptops with specific latest OS compatible. I was doing research and comparing and that's when I found out about the Samsung dex
Would have been good if only, it supports google services. I had a huawei phones and payment apps sometimes wont work on it. Sometimes, google classroom and other app doesn't work also. Xioaxin pad pro 2021 is a better option

@@bepicolombo8147 yeah thanks for that "copy paste" lengthy essay of yours. I don't care about it's strengths or advantages or whatnot but right now, it is still a shit os. My mother have a huawei device anf a lot of essential apps won't work on her phone especially those payment and banking apps. Almost everything relies on google services and while harmony os is still not mature enough, it will always be a shit os. Harmony os will always be shit until there will come a time when it is already fully optimized, when it has enough support from app developers, and when it established its own ecosystem. But like what I say, right now it is still a shit OS so I would never bother buy any of huawei devices.
My Instagram doesn't pop another place for stories 🙄
