- Techland's Dying Light 2 Stay Human is out now and garnering a fair bit of attention, with a peak concurrent player count of 274,983 on Steam. It's not too surprising, all things considered - despite releasing in 2015, the first Dying Light had more than 17 million players by the end of 2019. The developer's long-term support contributed to the same so the appeal of a sequel providing even more Dying Light content for hardcore players - that too with at least five years of support - is hard to resist.
While Techland has already outlined some of the updates coming in the next few months, Dying Light 2's story does open up some interesting avenues for the game's future. - Hry

I hate my ending. Basically did everything right. Saved the ones that i could save like hakon and frank and was on a good term with Lawan. But at the end i chose to save Lawan because my reasoning was that there is no way for Lawan to be saved by anyone but by Aiden. The bomb had to be detonated manually she said too which further just made me choose to save her. So i hate that apperently she would survive if Hakon helped her so i guess the bombs dident have to be manually detonated. The ending really affected me lmao

I didn’t want the city to blow up if I chose to save her so I can keep playing, but Hakkon pulled a power play

If you let lawan kill hakon. She wont survive in the end
my reasoning was that if u saved lawan, she’d hate aiden forever. really it’s her choice. she was ready to lay her life down for everyone with no regrets. that’s how her character is. so i took mia and left. and to my surprise, she and hakon survived.
So Mia isn't Aiden's sister. Aiden doesn't know who his family is. Aiden was five when he was being experimented on. Veronika had a five year old son who went missing. What if Veronika is Aiden's mom? DLC could be Aiden trying to find out who he is and who his family is/was.

Veronica was the director of GRE , i doubt anyone would dare to experiment on her son
That is quite an interesting take on things. However, Veronika says that her sons name is Paul, and there are multiple records of Aiden's real name being Aiden Caldwell.
i was happy with the ending love the story
Jonah scott put his heart and soul into that performance. He’s up there as one of the most realistic and impactful performances I’ve heard in a while

I do think Jonah Scott was right for the role. He's a brilliant actor.
I got the best ending possible, I let lawan “sacrifice” herself for the saftey of the city, but earlier in the game I kept hakon alive, really important, if you let lawan kill hakon she will feel really bad after and not feel satisfied, if you tell her to keep hakon alive, she will not like it at first, but get over it quickly, so yeah, when lawan sets the bombs off we all presume she’s dead, but if you keep hakon alive he saves her and they both live, but sadly Mia dies, but in the end everyone is happy and your safe and you and lawan leave the city together, but I still miss jade😕
I had the same ending! I passed the game last night after spending around 80 hours on the game, I miss Jade too
I got this ending my first time. I just killed hakon this time cuz I wanted to see the exact opposite of my choices
I could see Aiden being a sentient volatile just like the mother but tho with improved abilities. Probably even follow the day and night cycle where Aiden is himself and by night he could control his other form but will have to embrace it in order to survive.
I could see it happening in the second dlc. And besides, Lawan has said she was tested fro the GRE before maybe even show how she's able to contain her side of the virus.
This could be a good concept for a be the zombie mode but instead of being feral he takes care of enemies and issues he can't in zombie mode
i am going for the "best" ending (save everyone, survivors take control of the city, etc) and my questions are:
1. so Lawan was made leader of the nightrunners, but if she tagged along with Aiden, did she let anyone know?
2. a follow-up to the first one, who is in charge of them now that Lawan and Aiden is gone? Frank? Hakon? Someone else?
3. where will Aiden and Lawan (or whatever other ending you got) do next canonical? i know that the post game Aiden is still in the city so i know that is not quite "canonical" but still.
I hope we get answers to these questions

On a map i did notice there is another district in Villedor, maybe one of the dlcs will have you go there through a once hidden passage under all of the THV chemicals
Was happy with my ending being survivors and Aidan goes of with Lawan. I think it will be another place we go to and possibly could come back to the main city. I hope his story continues.
Does all story lines have the city getting hit with missiles before you make it to X13 and find walts with mia?
I had what is considered the “good ending” with lawan, hakon, and frank alive but the ending just felt lackluster to me. All this time looking for Mia on a journey with a ton of focus on all these uninteresting side characters just to find out mias not even related and then just dies and then aiden leaves. Like what was the point. Still had a fun time playing but that’s more bc of the gameplay and world

Yeah I agree. All that time looking for Mia just for her to die right after we got to her. I do think there should’ve been a couple other endings. I would of even been happy with an ending that involved Aiden and Mia leaving the city.
I got the ending leaving with Hakon so i was pretty happy with that
In the tie in comic, the cure is wrapped around a doctor’s neck and that the cause of the virus was an unfinished vaccine to combat the haran virus, so maybe there might be a dlc that focuses on the aftermath of that event

My ending was so weird. The colonies take over, I saved kept halon alive. I choose to save Mia with hakon going to save Mia. However… they both died… I saved Mia and walked off alone. Very weird

Well considering crane was turned fully and left me heart broken, I fully expect them to let my man aiden get a cure and start a family with Lawan.
Uh no it makes sense for her to go back to Hakon because his negative actions were to protect Lawan but she didn’t know that at the time so it made her upset

It's so many aspect of this game that don't make sense the story is just okay gameplay really good the zombies they're not important no more night time is not the same dying light that a lot of things better than this game

Yes this is a common mistake. It's 20 years from Harran to DL2, 15 years from the 2nd outbreak to DL2, the 2nd outbreak happens 5 years after the first game in Harran.

I can't watch because spoilers, but how is the "ending" explained when there are like 5 or so, and TL has not revealed which is canon (which likely won't be know until the first story DLC is released)?

One of the worst ending in Video games history. Game is so disappointing, downgrade is HUGE. When you see E3 gameplay you can see how big of a lie this game really is.
Y'all had 2 years of constant gameplay videos which look exactly like how the game looks like on release.

Dying Light 1 gad a worse ending pre dlc. After all that the antagonist, Crane let him live to " live with what you've done" trope. Yes Rais dies but I was shaking my head at that. I liked the story in DL2 though.
@@outbobthelaw2248 Yes and no. The look of the world was the only thing the more recent gameplay would shed light on.
This game, in 2018/2019 and since, heavily promised a game where choices MAJORLY affected the world (both environment and the people in it).and the story (both in real time and endings).
They show a desolate city that looks better when certain choices are made. So even then, I was thinking the gameplay footage was showing the world after certain choices were made.
And THAT'S the problem. The promised a dynamic game like no other, so seeing bits of gameplay here and there (and they were plenty for a normal game, don't get me wrong) is not going to tell you anything based on the type of game it was supposed to be.
And then it was buggy as hell despite them taking extra time to "polish" it.
I know TL is a good company, and they will get this game in a better state with time (just like the first), but I can't help but believe now that the rumors of serious issues during development are somewhat true, because this game is like CP but on smaller scale. They couldn't deliver what they promised/envisioned, and major sacrifices/scalebacks had to be made or the game would never release.
I'd rather believe that than the initial E3 was an intentional BS fest, because this game is nothing like THAT game, other than parkour, zombies and fighting. If thise three things were all they meant to represent as "proof of concept" they didn't need to make a video, we played the first.
