Oh man , it's Saturday, where are my manners. MARTY yes thank you for taking time to highlight this setup ..and install..very awesome of you. Individuals like yourself are so relevant...thank you.
went to get back into slot racing as its been a good 10 years only to find out all local tracks within about 1.5 hrs shut down and all thats left are extremely small tracks. Sucks how slot racing seems to be dying out as it was so fun.
Back to work finally, catching you after I got home. Wow, for not cutting holes in the backside of the front lights, they were very bright. As always very nice video ~Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it, it is a blast to dim the lights and race around the track. That’s the joy of Carrera cars.. they come with lights.. but everyone else.. not so much.
@@twolinesslotcars you have that program for track design? If I send you a list of the track pieces we have and the size of the layout we want, with some design ideas of course, would you be willing to input them into the program? Let me know and I will give you my email address. At one point you mentioned it was fun to do. We are in no hurry! Thank you sir
@@consco3667 I use this online editor. softyroyal.de I can try.. I have had a few others ask and I have just not had time. Maybe in a few weeks I could get to the requests.. 👍
Good, solid, practical, no nonsense advice, as always with you, Dusty :) I've done around a half dozen of these Z-Machine kits. Some of them have 4x fronts and not just two. A good tip is to grab some flat (we say 'matt' in England ) black acrylic and paint this inside around the light clusters to dial out the light bleed. Z-Machine comes, I believe, from Belgium and they are good quality and they are, as you have seen, well ready to straightforwardly fit. However, the LEDs are 'a dime a dozen' so to speak and all we need do is then source quality capacitors and small connector pcbs (I'd be interested to know who may produce these?) and with the body/chassis connector to then the job becomes a 'good 'un' for a cheaper price. For my roll then, I am prepared not to 'scrape' and otherwise support Z-Machine as you do here, mind. Happy days :)
I agree.. it would be fun to try to make a set of your own.. save a little bit of money but Z-Machine makes the install so easy. I will paint the inside body black tonight. Thanks for the tips!
Nice install Marty. Question. I notice the lights are on after you've removed the car from the track from the charged battery. How long do the lights stay on after the car has been off the track?
Nice! Really nice tutorial! Some questions for you. Do you know the cost of the lights? You also added a comment on your video about analog versus digital; would you mind explaining? Lastly, and off topic, I noticed something when you were driving; because of the length of your track, how many jumper cables have you added and what type or how many power sources do you have? Have a fun holiday weekend too.
As for digital vs analog… Carrera Digital is positive left rail… but I forgot about the fact that analog cars are positive right rail.. and with the Tek-Slot box when running analog reverses the polity so that the cars run in the correct direction. So I wired it up wrong the first time and the lights didn’t work..
Very cool...lights are always cool. I have what I believe squirelled away is lighting kits for my older gt40's
Yes they are!

Very nice Marty. They have been available in US. Also awesome to see you didn't have to drill holes and still got great pass-through of light!
They are sold out in the States. Yes, I was surprised too. They look great!
Very nice track
Thanks!

I agree.. big commercial tracks are dying out because it is difficult to make money. The home track scene is alive and thriving.

Thanks Chris! Good to hear your back to work!

Thank you Steve!!! They look great! Now I want to try them in ever car 😂
Well done Marty! Very bright the light is. 🙂 That will definetly illuminate the race-track scenery a lot. Stay in the slot, Brother!
Thanks Bo! Yes, so much fun to drive with the lights down.. great change of pace!
Fantastic work Marty
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for the great video! It will be a great tutorial for me when i get up enough nerve to try putting one in!
Bro you could do this with your eyes closed..
Way cool Marty. Really brings life to the car.
Especially getting around the track with my lights down…
Thanks Dave!

Looks great Marty!
Thanks! It is a fun edition to the Group C!
Great video. The lights really brought that car to life.
Couldn't agree more! Now I want to install them in ever car I own 😂😂💸
Thanks for doing this Marty! This is great info. We have some of these.
It was more difficult to choose what car to install them in.. than the instal itself 😂

Yes, absolutely
Nice install Marty.

The headlights last a few minutes.. the tail lights seem to last a little longer…
Like your little stand. Who made it? Thx Marty
The red stand? Slotinvasion!

Marty, nice addition to the car. How long do the lights stay on after you take it off the track? Do you have a link for where to purchase them?

Can’t find them in stock in the states..
The headlights are really bright.. they fade after a few minute or so.. but the brake lights seem to last for 10 minutes or more..
Thank you for the advice!
Sorry, but why oh why would you speed up the most important part of the presentation, the fixing of the lights 😮
There is not much to the install! Sorry..
Marty, where can we purchase these kits in the USA?
Cloverleaf.. but sold out
Oops, sorry for confusing you with your brother there, Marty - lol You mention his name so often!
No worries 😂😂
Hi Marty just wondering what site you got those lights from🤟

Cloverleaf carries them but they are sold out.
